I work at a cotton field I sit in a truck watching the yard all night to make sure no trespassers or fires and it’s really dark I always think ima look to the left of my truck and see someone just standing next to my window
I work as a security at a call center both 2nd and 3rd shift its honestly the best job I've ever had. Pay isnt great but I get along with everybody i work with

I have one. Philadelphia Parking Authority (PPA). That agency is a horror story in itself, lol.
I was a security guard in a small town in Northern California It was a popular college town, I was a vehicle patrol officer, I had all the same equipment as a police officer minus a tazer and radio ( used push to talk phone as radio) I arrived to one of my posts to check the area and parking lot for illegally parked cars, It was around 1 AM and it was a cold fall morning. As I was looking at vehicles for parking placards when a large pure black dog walked out from between two cars and began to growl at me. There was not a soul in sight no sign of a owner or any idea where this monstrous dog came from ( it looked like a Rottweiler) The dog was about 20 feet away from me I slowly began to walk backwards to my patrol vehicle but soon the dog charged me. I drew my pepperspray and sprayed the dog in the face. ( I didn't want to shoot the dog if it was someones pet) The dog ran off into the back of the apartment complex. I ran to my patrol vehicle and called for backup. When backup arrived we searched the property searching for the animal but there was no sign of the dog or anything. I stayed on the job and never saw the dog again.

I was working alone on a night shift about a week ago and I'll be buggered if something didn't get _SLAMMED_ to the floor. That was an interesting moment. To be honest, I just left it the fuck alone. I don't get paid enough for that.
I've been in security before and I can tell you that no security job will be worth taking unless you are armed with a asp, baton, taser, long heavy duty mag light or fire arm because some encounters won't do you a bit of good are using big threatening words.......Also the rat story reminded me more of the movie Graveyard Shift by Stephen King.
i have been a security guard for almost 3 years, and easily the scariest thing i have ever witnessed was a light flicker and a shadow appear and walked into a door. scary shit happens during the night.

Let me tell you my story
Btw let me tell you my creepy story and it is real btw, so me and my friends were in a summer camp and we decided to go to the local store, when we were going there we saw some homeless people jump out of a window of a abandoned house, and so my idiot friend yelled at them HOBOS and they started runing after us. We ran around 2 Km to get away from them and so we still went to the store, as we finished shoping for candy n stuff we met up with some other kids from the camp and we went back to the campsite together, while we were going back we took a shortcut through some dudes private property and he told us to leave, so we left but we decided it would take to long to get back so we went back and took the shortcut. The guy saw us and started yelling and we didnt listen so we kept going, but he got in hes tractor as this was a farm we were cutting through and he starting driving right at us so we ran back to the campsite. When we got back to the campsite we hid in our rooms ( the camp was inside a campus) so he started knocking on every door as he didnt see what room we ran into. So when he left we went to tell out teachers, and one of the teachers that was here for multiple years told us he got out of jail about 1 year ago for atempted murderer.

nothing is worse than being a security guard in Australia. We do the same thing but aren't allowed to defend ourselves. Batons, handcuffs, oc spray=banned

You occasionally think oh my God this job is freaking boring then when something happens when this shit can potentially hit the fan you tend to thank God for the boring parts and you wish that there was more boredom

My friend just got a job as security at a high profile construction site. He said that on his first night he had to chase off some guy who tried to start a fire claiming the building was for the devil. All I know is that the company who owns the future building is strongly secular. My friend is Christian, I'm pagan, but neither of us mind atheists. The way he told me the company doesn't discriminate, it's just run by atheists who won't let policy be dictated by religion. But hey, their company their rules as long as they don't mistreat religious employees or customers

My 1st job was security guard. fresh out of High school, during Summer before college.. the posts were creepy except 2, which were a mall and mini mall. and since i didn't look like a typical Security guard. i guess i attracted a bit of attention. Much of it unwanted attention.. this raised lots of suspension, I got a fair amount of attention normally, But while working as a security guard, it always made me a bit paranoid or put me on alert because i didn't know if people were trying to talk and hold a conversation like normal or sizing me up because they were planning something nefarious. the worse parts was working at night and had to do my rounds and check a whole abandoned floor, at night in the pitch dark with just a torch/flash light. God i hated doing that. in retrospect.. I don't know how the heck i was doing that.
