Man yeah, more Farmall work!!! The governor shaft I think has bushings in it. Not sure exactly the end play it should have, will leave that to the experts, but does seem excessive. Thank you for bringing us along, look fwd to the repairs on it!! Hopefully you find a bearing.close and a spring! Thank you my friend!!
Thanks my Friend, I will resolve the bearing issue, the challenge will be the spring but hopefully not, yes I will have to hear from the experts on the shaft end play, thanks very much for watching and commenting my friend
Nice view to start the video my friend! Looks a bit wild out there at the moment. It looks like a relatively easy repair, always a relief when the problem is so immediately obvious. I'm sure you'll find a spring to suit, or one that can be modified to work without much hassle. As far as the bearings, a bit hard to tell on video exactly what size they are, but like you, I immediately thought of bike headset or axle bearings or something similar. But for the amount of work it does, it's not likely to matter either way as you say. I like Missouri Old Timers suggestion to reposition them so they're more evenly spaced though, if needs be. Cheers mate and take care until next time!
Hi my Friend, yes you are right, the bearing will be OK, will check tomorrow in my bicycle box for spares to match the balls, if not I am not going to worrie about that, I am sure I will find a spring, keep watching my friend for progress on this project, thanks for watching....
@@jankotze1959 Sure will my friend, I'll be here as always! You might just be lucky with the balls, but as you say, hardly the end of the world if it's missing a couple. Looking forward to the end result!
that does seem like a lot of end play, if you can't find any more ball bearing, maybe if you just move the missing bearings directly across from each other, it might work ok.
Hi Vernon, that is what I thought, take a ball from 180 deg and put in one empty hole, I am sure it will have no effect, taking in consideration that the way I use the tractor the governor will basically never really work, I just want it fixed, the cable I have now on the throttle is temporarily
Great looking project.
Thanks very much, great to see you here, appreciate your comment, thanks for your great restorations
Nice vdio may priend💓👍mantap semangat
