Lauren don't stress, you can only do, what you can do, and if you can't do it, it doesn't get done.. it's not the be all. The fact that you've got four kids, a full time job, you do you tube and Instagram, look after the home mainly and cook homemade dinners for all the family, makes you Wonder Woman anyway. i would suggest the space to the right when you first walk in where you have vanity lights over the bust... that could be a great spot for a small vanty like yours .. his and hers.. i think the tub would be great to have in there for resale value but dual vanities is another big item.

I agree it’s Mid June can’t we just enjoy Summer for a bit. I don’t want to think about fall until August at the earliest. Then again I don’t have a young child at home anymore and I’m single so I decorate for myself and when my adult child comes home but I’d still like to enjoy the season while it’s still the season. Hi Lauren we remodeled our master bathroom last summer and we did remove our jetted bathtub so we could have a larger shower. I was hesitant because I occasionally took a bath in the winter months. After much thought we decided the tub is was gone and we enlarged the shower and put in steam jets to allow me to still get that jet tub feeling. By removing the tub we had room to add a built in linen closet with pull out shelving and electrical outlets to store electrict toothbrushes and stuff. I also got my built-in makeup vanity. Not missing the tub at all.
Not ready for fall yet either Lauren like you I want to enjoy the summer🥰
I thought the vanity was a bit too small. Definitely a good idea to make it bigger and I think it would add resale value for the future.

Girrrrl...my biggest pet peeve is when stores rush to the next season/holiday before when the one we're in just started. Summer just started. It's hot and humid in Houston, and I can't even think about fall. I went to Hobby Lobby earlier this week and all the fall stuff is out, and they were already moving stuff around for Christmas. And yes, it all looks the same as last year.

I think it'll make you feel more home there. I have one just like the antique in my room. Which steps to get in it and the garden looks great and I love the dirt bath. The chickens are so happy. My husband likes showers, after being on my feet all of my work day, I prefer to be able to sit down and relax and as you said, during the colder months, I like a hot bath. We all have our preferences. We also have to compromise. I love my different color ink pens, markers and high lighters, when i make my list. Thank you for all that you do, you are SOOOOO BUSY with work, being a Mother, cleaning, I appreciate your videos, if someone has a better idea of cleaning or a better recipe, I am open to suggestions!!! Glad the chicka booms are enjoying their new dirt bath. The garden looks great. The amount you accomplish is just inspiring. Fun fact. I too have navy patio furniture cushions and they sit in direct Florida sun. The first thing I do is spray them with Scotchguard when I replace them and I’ve learned there’s spray paint for fabric. The Scotchguard has allowed me to get an extra year out of them & I’m excited to see how the spray paint works. Those suckers are expensive and so hard to find matching/coordinating cushions that fit & are comfy.
I think moving the tub for a larger vanity area is an excellent idea! 💙

New subscriber, I love clean and declutter motivation videos. I liked so much how you've filmed while emptying all the trash can from the house into the kitchen one. Most people will just move the bins out of the camera frame and put it back emptied and as it's a quick chore that I find so satisfying to see while cleaning, I'm glad I've found your channel if you're going to film like this in other cleaning videos 😇 I was even hoping the kitchen one would also been emptied, but it was empty at that moment so I understand 😆 One of the reason I also like to see this other than just that its satisfying to see any junk get discarded and leaving the house to feel fresh is also because I struggle so much to discard nicer things like magazines, clothes stores catalogues/flyers and mostly any old clothes that can't be donated. So I always hope I'll see some of those things either being tossed or already in a trash can when someone film it. Most of the time that I declutter any of those things, I put them in a clean bag that will most likely stay in the garage forever instead of dumping them directly with the normal trash so I couldn't change my mind on anything going in the trash.
I also watch Demaris Antonia, for the shopping 🎉😊she's really fun!
Fall is one of my favorite seasons but I am not ready for it either.
Being able to do it all comes down to having resources, whether its other family members who can step in or hiring help. Lauren has been open about having nannies and help to do some of the heavy lifting, and I dont blame her one bit -I'd probably do the same if I were in her position. But guys, having wealth creates a lot more time in your day to get it all done, no matter how many productivity hacks you try to implement.

Yes to moving the tub, large sink and more storage. I think you should enjoy your outdoor space and deep clean in the fall and spring. Sunday should be organizing your week and meal plans. Just straighten up the house and ready for the week. Before you know it the kids will be back in school and you can tackle the house later or better yet get someone in to deep clean your main rooms.

Yes, take out the tub, we took ours out about two years ago and have larger vanity areas and walk in shower, best thing we did! Still have two tubs upstairs.

The fact that your husband offered to make a pretty big change in your bathroom is terrific... So many husbands would not want to take that on. I do believe the vanity is way to small... Move the tub and build a dual vanity like you had at your old home. It's nice that he wants to be organized and cares. Glad to see you are getting help. Working one job is hard enough but two plus a family of six, plus trying to keep up your home. I don't know how you do it. Love your videos.
I thought the same thing that your sink was so small, I would have done a smaller shower or flipped the tub to the end wall and got rid of the door and made a bigger double sink vanity.

I went percale because they had me at cool sleeping. Maybe in the winter I will try the luxe sateen. Being a hot sleeper I just thought I needed to try those first.

I see construction in your future, maybe. Expanding the bathroom, or moving the tub in another direction and then having a double sink/vanity. I’m sure your kids would love the tub upstairs, though.

I would definitely move the tub!!! It would be more functional and you would still have your tub for those cold winter nights upstairs. It would also be better for resale with a double sink in the master if you ever sell in the future.
I was surprised at the layout in your new bathroom, it seems smaller than before, and I think a big long vanity with two sinks and two mirrors would be beautiful. For as big as the bathroom is, your sink area is super small.

I have so many things I would like to achieve in the house such as repainting the entire inside of the house before Christmas 🎄 but we are a bit busy now. And actually finding a paint color we love almost seems impossible 🙃.
Lauren maybe try taking the bigger curtains down and do a relaxed sheer curtain. I did that in my room and it really helped me fix the itch to change he everything lol

Luv your home and the way you take care of it and your family, making your vanity area bigger would be such a good idea... Now this might be so random, but I had a dream that you were in my kitchen helping me with the meal and I ask you if you are happy about having twins, I usually have these random visions 🌞🌞
Also, as you’ve already renovated this, you could still stall a vanity into this alcove entryway, because the small one could be a cosmetics counter for you, and the other large one for you both to use for space and functionality.

Hello Lauren! Love all your videos especially when you go into your garden and show us how you work there. I have a question where do you buy your seeds to get started? I know there are a lot of GMO seeds out there but seems like in California you all have majority of the non-GMO products or should I say “safer” product to choose from. So just curious I am looking to start growing my own fruits and vegetables like you so I wanted to ask to see where we should be purchasing our seeds to know we are getting the best quality? I would have made a bigger vanity in the bathroom when you were planning it. When my 5 kids were small I had a similar help mommy list in the bathroom and kitchen. ForThe most part they did read it
I would’ve loved to be able to share a plan of your bathroom I did whilst you were gutting it.
I considered your entry into the bathroom was like a corridor where you placed a hall table (console) this is where I would’ve placed the vanity sink, between two ended walls, perhaps required moving the doorway over slightly to ensure the vanity depth. The opposite wall I would’ve done a cavity slider into the toilet stall, and this would’ve made the entry almost a seperate powder room before entering your sanctuary space. It could even allow the powder area to be used while someone else enjoys the tub or shower in privacy. No structural changes, but more of a zoned concept. Also would’ve enabled a larger sink counter or an additional one!

I think I agree with your husband. I’d rather have two sinks and no tub in the primary bathroom. Especially with that beautiful, big shower. Check with your local real estate regulations. Here, where I live, you have to have at least one bathtub in a house. Not sure why but that is the reg. 😊

I think she gets hers done at the salon. Which is a different acrylic process. If you get press ons at the store then yes they use glue and yes they do damage your nails over time :)

Yes I do! I recently got them done at a salon for the first time with some moms and it was so fun! I use Static Nails (not sponsored and don't get discounts but I love their products). Once I get these nails off I will go back to Static because these were expensive!
I would keep the doors like that and just add some window enclosed blinds instead to the doors
