I liked this challenge, fell in love w/ Ruckus... again. Also practiced a bit of subservience Raum. Tho i did a bunch of matches against bots with max ammo builds, and never letting go the LMB.
You know, if they actually rewarded an event pass instead bait event pass level up, I would actually try to slog through this grind quest. But of course, Hi-Rez decided to give the hardest challenge for the most minimal of reward.
Reward would’ve been value if it was EARLY like 4th week or this trial could’ve been in week 1 like so many options …. Whoever greenlit this didn’t think of better options
if you wanna get this done fast, granted its not fun but its fast. go into a siege game vs ai, pick raum, leave spawn and tape your mouse down for the whole game. got the challenge done in 1 day in a few hours.
@o790 yeah if the ignition works against it, simply don't use it lol. you should go into bot siege, rush hoard 1 & deft hands 3, and just hold down firing inbetween. use the reload speed card. literally 10% in one siege game alone. nothing else beats Raum I think.
I miss when trials were champion based, like you got a Lillith themed death card when you played through some challenges with Lillith. This challenge feels like it just locks you into a high ammo/fast shooting champion like maybe Raum or someone. These challenges are way more grindy and less fun than they used to be imo.
As a trials challenge: I think this is great but the scaling is absolutely absurd, I’d say 50-70k at most but compared to other challenges, this one’s at least super simple.
with raum u need to use his right click which doesnt consume ammo and run a lot if u want to be effective, so i dont think he is that good. If u play against bots tho its another story
Dude forgot that koga was a bad choice for this challenge. Back when we had the 1 million ammo challenge, I realized koga's shots were double, so 2 shots counted as 1. If you press one time the lmb, you consume 2 ammo but the game counts one. Just get raum or ruckus and get done with it. Btw I spent maybe over 15 hours of only playing ruckus to get the title of the challenge 4 years ago and I still use. That's why you don't see many Rulers of the Sea.
I swear, I wish this was out when I played Vivian no ammo consuming card, into a point Yag. I would have completely that quest in that one game! Yag had two healers feeing her the whole time
Raum, Ruckus, Fernando, Viktor, Tyra, Vivian, Koga, Jenos and such are all suitable for this quest and you wont even feel it took any time because all of them are fun and engaging to play. Just for Viktor you might wanna use another talent instead of Burst Mode because it shoots a bit slow.

Koga don't have the fastest attack speed. Raum or Ruckus shoot faster, and with optimized build to recover munition, it's around 5% per game, so it's ok
they brought this sort of challenge back huh, at least it's not 1m like back in pirates treasure, same strategy applies as back then i assume, load up with ruckus i think is still the best one for this kind of challenge on a siege practice against bots and just leave a weight on your mouse since i dunno if the whole opening up the wheel while shooting and you will keep shooting despite not pressing the shoot button has been patched or not. Then also buy deft hands. I think ruckus cards may also help? can't remember off the top of my head right now, so make sure you got a loudout for ammo if there is cards still. I think i remember koga isnt number 1 because his 2 smgs shooting only count as 1 bullet instead of 2. I wonder if there's a better strategy here though since then.

the reward gave me a profile picture from a previous event pass (Malevolent Matron from Into the Abyss) instead of the current one, so maybe you should try it. I doubt it could give champion skins but hey, never hurts to try.

Ive found that the best champions to do this trial are Maeve, Azaan, Nix, Sha Lin, Grover, or best of all, Terminus

By the time you do it you won't need a +1 BP level

Definitely for Ruam and Ruckus since they both have the longest clips in the game, though Ruam has more ammo.

I completed all the trials, for this one I just basically picked Raum over and over and played very liberally while firing the gatling gun.
I picked up ruckus for this very trial and by god im actually having fun with him, give ruckus a try guys
I did 30% in 2h by playing Raum, so I think it's the best choice for that stuff.
