i only wonder how difficult it will be... easy peasy like Contra 1 or insanely hard like Contra 3. The game itself looks like Konami finally got right people to work on their IP. After many years of making cashgrabs and pachinkos, they finally started to make solid products. I think it is something about switching someone at the Konami HQ, much like EA did with theirs.
I'm not sure how difficult it will be. The demo said it was a mix of level 1 and level 3. I was playing on normal and pretty sure I was down to my last life of 2. There are different perks you can enable and I'm sure there are "patterns" to look for to make parts easier to get through without dying so much. The game felt great and like classic contra. I agree with you it does look like they got the right people to work on it. I'm curious if it will have the classic Konami code 🤣.
I have. Funny that was the first game I ever had on the NES outside of the Mario/Duck Hunt. Hadnt played since I was a kid and probably never actually even beat it then 🤣. Hooked up all my old consoles a few years back and made a point to play and complete it with the 3 lives 👍.
@@greenheart5334 Honestly, the difficulty of the game besides Hard mode and 1 hit kill like classic Contra are one thing but playing as different characters could increase the difficulty due to the differences how they use different move sets and how they handle certain weapons differently. With 8 stages to master it probably won't be a very easy game for many but I don't see it touching the 80s and 90s Contra games in difficulty.
Thank you for the tip! I've played the demo a few more times since that original playthrough and tried it. Definitely makes it better! Cant wait for the 12th!

Try beating Contra 1 without the 30 lives.

LMAO they have health.
They do! You can also switch it to classic one hit you die, but default yes they have health.
@@platinum_miner1 hit is the way to go for this game, along with Hard mode. Hard mode seems to just add some more enemies and that's it.

@@platinum_minerSame, I can't wait to play this game as well!
