@ScissorMeTimbers I mean I get that, but he isn’t necessarily taking about the human actions committed by Myers or genocidal dictators such as killing. Hitler was in humane and belongs in hell, but he was human in the sense that he had emotion and acted human, in its evilest form. Myers is inhuman. There’s nothing there. He. Is. Evil. Not through his actions, but through his very presence. That’s why Loomis was afraid of him. Not because of the earthly things he commited, but the existential void that Michael represented.

@@thehitherto5348 I enjoyed Hatchet as well. She was excellent in Halloween 4 & 5. Even when her character was mute for the majority of 5 she was great. I even like her in Halloween remake (2007) but I didn't like the sequel. I don't like how Rob Zombie kept her character alive just to kill her off in the sequel it was very pointless.
@@guitarman0365 yeah I actually think Halloween (2007) is very underrated. Sure it doesn't come close to the original but it was a solid remake and they at least gave Michael a real back story. Also seeing Michael grow up in the 80s was cool.
@@andresnavarro5978 I know man it's awful, I think it's the worst of the entire series, even worse than Halloween Resurrection. They turned Laurie into an Emo, pointless dream sequences etc. The only good thing about the movie was the opening in the hospital. I don't know what Rob Zombie was thinking.
Thank you for mentioning the house. The original house looked a little like my house which made it scarier. Then they kept fucking with it. Didn’t it have some underground cavern in Resurrection? I think Halloween started to go south with the second one. Once they were like, “Oh, Laurie is Michael’s biological sister so he feels compelled to kill her,” that made everything stupid. It was way scarier when he was just some escaped psycho that happened to see Laurie as she came to his house and was like, “I’m going to kill you now,” and starts stalking her. That is way scarier because he had no real motive other than compulsion. He could’ve targeted anyone in the country. But with Halloween 2, that changed and as long as you weren’t in the same town as his family members, you were safe. That’s not scary!
The thing everyone forgets is that he was stalking Tommy long before he stalked Laurie. He was of course the one who accompanied her to Michael's house, yelling about him being a boogeyman. They really needed a motive for the embodiment of evil to watch people until he lost control and decided to kill them?
I'm genuinely happy that these videos helped you in that way. I think I'm looking for something to have that effect on me in my life right now. That was great to hear that at the end, because it makes me optimistic I'll find what that is for me. Thank you Chris! That genuinely lifted me up.
he did an interview about it with some guy. he just lost some of his passion during 2018 because there were barely any good films. to me he seems a lot better
Many thanks for your october review series, this helped me a lot to get the autumn halloween vibes! Halloween 5: I understand every critic here but it was my first watched part of this series on TV as a kid in the late 90s and every murder was cut in the tv version. For me it was very special to see the uncut version many years later with the pitchfork kill and so on :) I have a special relation to every halloween movie first seen on TV
If he keeps doing a Halloween review every year he should be done by 2025. Or 24 if he doesn't want to do resurrection again because he kinda already talked about that film with the flick pick.
Chris, your videos have really helped this year. Thank you so much because they really are calming and they give us all a sense of normalcy that would otherwise be lacking. Thank you again
Halloween 5 is terrible. It really is. It retcons the fantastic Ending of H4, one of the main protagonists of H4 Rachel is killed off like in 10 minutes of H5, the Mask of Michael Myers in this one is the Worst Mask in the entire Franchise. Much worse than in H4. The story is bad, the characters are awful, especially Tina who is the most unlikable and annoying character in Horror Movie history and the ending of this movie just sucks! The only redeeming qualities that H5 has are still Donald Pleasence as Dr. Loomis, Danielle Harris as Jamie and some Kills. That's it. I mean even the director of this movie admited later in some interviews that H5 was a rushed Mistake. It came 1 year after H4 because that movie was a big success. H5 was made without any passion. They couldn't even get the Myers's House right in this Movie, that's how lazy the makers were. Halloween 5 was pretty much the start for the downfall of the Halloween Franchise. It's not the worst Halloween Movie in the Halloween Franchise (Halloween: Resurrection is much worse in my opinion) but it's still terrible.
@@Nova-fh2et well if the main creator of an artwork/film says that even they are not satisfied with a project or think it's bad why wouldn't that be relevant to an analysis or argument?

I agree. I actually think this is one of the better films. I kind of hate H20 though. It sucks to me. I think its almost as bad as Resurrection if I'm being completely honest.
Thanks for making these wonderful videos, Chris! It's been a rough ass year but I'm glad the virus couldn't take away classic Halloween movies from us! What you said towards the end of this video really spoke to things myself and all of us who are artists are dealing with during these unstable times. Thanks a million, sir.
In my opinion, this is the worst "Halloween" movie. I only finished it because I wanted to complete the series. This is how I rank the "Halloween" movies (remake not included): 9. Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Meyers; 8. Halloween : The Curse of Michael Meyers; 7. Halloween III : Season of the Witch; 6. Halloween: Resurrection; 5. Halloween (2018); 4. Halloween 4 : The Return of Michael Meyers; 3. Halloween H2O: 20 Years Later; 2. Halloween II; 1. Halloween (1978).
I watched it when I was a teen and even by then I can tell it’s utter shit. It has some redeeming moments but that doesn’t mean it’s not an awful film.
@@Nicholas_Chen_ You clearly haven't watched them eating popcorn with friends. Both films aren't perfect but they're so much fun under the right circumstances
It’s hard to fuck up a Halloween movie for me. As long as Michael is killing stupid people in a white mask, I’m 100% down. I give Halloween III a pass because the story was actually good. Plus it makes the “return of Michael Myers” that much better and more worthwhile because it’s an actual “return”, unlike return of the Jedi for example.
i feel you man, not only the movie, but the feelings of anxiety and uncertainty this year brought. whatever happens, keep hanging in there no matter what!
The franchise should have stopped at 2 or 4. Here its just a mess. The stupid Man in Black, the dumb goofy music for the cop characters, Myers crying, annoying characters, killing off a likeable character etc. The director had no clue what he was doing, completely disrespectful to Greg Nicotero, "oh what do you know, you're just a makeup guy"....Well, you clearly didn't know what the hell you were doing. This is where the franchise went downhill. The only reason to watch is Donald Pleasance.
They made Season of the Witch because they wanted to turn the series into an anthology, a different story every film. That would have been cool to see.
Your videos this month help me out a ton. I love movies and I also find them relaxing. I enjoy watching your reviews on some of my favorite movies a bunch. Thank you for the awesome content Chris

As a teenager I loved Halloween 4 in the theater. It was somehow scarier and more grounded then Jason or Freddy. And that ending was WHOAH! We couldn’t wait to see 5 next year. At the time... we loved it just as much and were hanging on that cliffhanger of the man in black. So we were ready for next Halloween... and it didn’t come! By the time Halloween 6 came out I had finished high school and college and moved away from my old friends and had a new life and other interests. I still haven’t seen Halloween 6. Hollywood just took too long. I moved on and it became obvious there was no real follow up story. Shame.

Watch the scene again. You’re meaning to tell me the old dude is wearing the exact same outfit for a year as well? Yes it’s bad filmmaking but you can also infer somewhat for yourself lol
I enjoyed Halloween 5 for my whole life. I'm 32 now was really scary when i was a kid especially one night when the power cut out from a storm right before she pulled his mask off in the movie when i was like 10 at home alone.
Chris B The laundry chute scene always gets me!
I agree. I’ve always enjoyed H5 as well. The mask was pretty lame though.
@@brucecarter6205 agreed!
"We're in this shit now!"...truth. Big thanks for the reprieve this month Mr.Stuckman. Stay safe, stay awesome.
Thanks Chris. 2020 was a tough year, and October was a tough month I’m glad doing these horror reviews was a healing factor for one and I, for one, enjoyed and appreciated them. I was Stuckmannized for several years already.
The cliffhanger ending is genuinely unnerving.
No its not lol. It's stupid af
Personally I’m surprised he did not rage about the clown like noises when the two cops show up for the first time or least just laugh at it
Legends say that you can predict Chris's movie rating just by looking at his face at the thumbnail.
I've been finding a lot of comfort in your Halloween reviews. Thank you so much!
Been here since before the first Halloween specials! Keep it up Chris
Chris. Thank you for being a major reason why I got through a very challenging October. Being in PA during an election year must be a layer of Hell; the commercials alone. Thank you for some many great videos; it helped immensely. Enjoy your Halloween!
“There’s no reason for Halloween 5 to exist.”
Also: this is not the worst of the Halloween movies.
Me: 🤨
That’s how bad the other Halloween movies are
Halloween (1978), Halloween II (1981) Halloween: 20 Years Later, Halloween: Season Of The Witch. There's no reason for any of the other Halloween movies to exist.
@gregory garner You can't be serious. What iconic moments??
@gregory garner Did you work on this movie or know someone who did? You are trying so desperately to defend this absolutely garbage movie. I'm not even sure if you're fucking with me or not.
@@ThoseStairsTheFirst
Take H20 out as well
You forgot to mention the circus sounds in the beginning with the police. Never noticed it before. And yes, that dubbing was funny. Love your reviews! And your full disclosure at the end is spot on!
Baby Danielle Harris was so cute and she grew up to be a pretty woman. She's also a very underrated scream queen in my opinion.
she ended up getting it in the end though in rob zombie's version haha She played the daughter of the sherrif played by brad dourif.
@@kang6914 that movie is terrible, how did Michael know laurie was her sister?
@@andresnavarro5978 I know man it's awful, I think it's the worst of the entire series, even worse than Halloween Resurrection. They turned Laurie into an Emo, pointless dream sequences etc. The only good thing about the movie was the opening in the hospital. I don't know what Rob Zombie was thinking.
You've shown your passion and love for horror films so well this past month and it's been a joy to listen to and learn, thanks Chris :)
I can only hope Chris is doing okay. He really hasn't seemed like himself lately...
I've been saying that since 2017/2018! I mean, Chris turned into a vampire during that time period! 😂 His skin was so pale back then.
I haven't noticed anything 🤔
he did an interview about it with some guy. he just lost some
of his passion during 2018 because there were barely any good films. to me he seems a lot better
@@q-man323 2018 was somewhat a strange year....
@@q-man323 Yeah, that's right! During that year, there were no movies he rated an A+.
Welp, Halloween is over. Now it's just two endless month of Christmas related crap.
Their were Christmas decorations ON Halloween.
The calming effect is for sure confirmed on this end. Always looking forward to new reviews from you. Much love.
If he keeps doing a Halloween review every year he should be done by 2025. Or 24 if he doesn't want to do resurrection again because he kinda already talked about that film with the flick pick.
There will probably be at least 2 more Halloween movies before 2025
@@Roger_Waters_Broken_Balls Yea Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends but he's going to review them when they come out, not on the 31st of October.
Chris, your videos have really helped this year. Thank you so much because they really are calming and they give us all a sense of normalcy that would otherwise be lacking. Thank you again
We love you Chris. Thank you for being here with us this year.
I really hate when people use "even the director thinks" as part of their argument
@@Nova-fh2et well if the main creator of an artwork/film says that even they are not satisfied with a project or think it's bad why wouldn't that be relevant to an analysis or argument?
The problem with the Halloween franchise is that pretty much every movie kind of ruins the previous one.
Horrormaster13 no h20 has the worst mask
@@OscarHernandez-bb6zp No.
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am a nurse. My life is COVID all the time it seems. But for your videos have been a respite from this current way of life.
Chris still has not gave us a review of Tucker and Dale vs Evil.
These videos helped calm my anxiety. Every time you posted one, I would get excited because I could be entertained and distracted from the world. Thank you!!
FINALLY!!! Waited a year for this
Thanks for all your reviews this month. I know it's alot of work to put that many together. They've been very enjoyable to watch.
Didn't even mention Rachel dying at the beginning.
Yea that was huge. Should've at least referenced it.
Because her character doesn’t matter.
She comes back in "Chips The War Dog" and "House Of The Dead".
I did really enjoy all your Halloween videos this year Chris. Glad you enjoyed making them. Thanks.
I can't wait to hear your thoughts on the Rob Zombie films cause I really like them personally
I really like the second one, a very interesting art house type film
trash opinion
Rob Zombie destroyed it which I'm happy but upset that it should had ended with H20 period.The rest was awful resurrection was shit and then he comes out with his creepy remake and funky butt sequel.Why was Michael Myers talking in that shit.
Thanks for going an extra mile with these reviews for this Halloween special. Really helped a lot. Appreciate your hard work.
Why are people talking about Sean Connery's death in this comment section? I know it's sad, and I find it sad too, but Connery wasn't even in any of the Halloween films!
2 months ago RIP Chadwick Boseman was written everywhere. I miss him too. But Sean Connery... a legend since 1962. And he won the Oscar for The Untouchables.
Thank you for being so candid at the end. Your reviews are by far my favourite and you’re one of the few reviewers I trust. This year has been awful and full of changes but your videos have been fab as ever. Hang in there Chris!
Halloween 4 and 5 are underrated.
Thanks for sharing your gift in doing this every year. I look forward to it, and all the other stuff you do. Happy Halloween and stay safe and let’s glide smoothly into 2021!
I actually really liked this move, when most didn't.
Buddy, of all the people I've heard say that. You're the first.
You a big fast and the furious fan too? 🤣
I agree. I actually think this is one of the better films. I kind of hate H20 though. It sucks to me. I think its almost as bad as Resurrection if I'm being completely honest.
Dude honestly same I know it’s flaws but i think it’s just a guilty pleasure for me
I agree. I’ve always liked this one flawed as it may be.
Thanks for making these wonderful videos, Chris! It's been a rough ass year but I'm glad the virus couldn't take away classic Halloween movies from us! Your videos have been this island of normality & for some reason they've been pretty therapeutic for me too! Have a wonderful All Hallow's Eve to you and yours!
Atleast we don’t see his eyes in the movie really while wearing the mask after h20 we Always see his eyes 🙄( besides Halloween 2(1981)
Thank you, Chris, for the work you've done this money, this whole year, in fact. It's been good to focus on the things we love to keep up our morale and our creative output. What you said towards the end of this video really spoke to things myself and all of us who are artists are dealing with during these unstable times. Thanks a million, sir.
In my opinion, this is the worst "Halloween" movie. I only finished it because I wanted to complete the series.
This is how I rank the "Halloween" movies (remake not included):
9. Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Meyers;
8. Halloween : The Curse of Michael Meyers;
7. Halloween III : Season of the Witch;
6. Halloween: Resurrection;
5. Halloween (2018);
4. Halloween 4 : The Return of Michael Meyers;
3. Halloween H2O: 20 Years Later;
2. Halloween II;
1. Halloween (1978).
Why not have the remakes?
I like watching Season of the Witch as it’s own movie rather than a Halloween movie.
@@tanything26 I have yet to watch them.
Love your work Chris! Thanks for being there for us this Halloween season!
I like Halloween 4 and 5...they’re junk, but enjoyable junk.
Thank you for the awesome series! Definitely made something worth looking forward to this Halloween season.
Thanks so much Chris for the videos this month, I haven’t missed a single one and they’ve made October feel really special!
Chris, anything you post helps so many people right now... thank you!
Thank you Chris for always making these awesome videos. People like you are one of the heroes of this country. it's always amazing watching your reviews and videos. Keep up the good work, man.
Happy Halloween too, Chris! We truly enjoy every bit of what you put up. Love your talk, and humour.
Can't wait to see your review of Halloween resurrention.
Seeing a new video from you so often this month has always felt like the most pleasant surprise! I’ve watched them all this October and really enjoyed them. Always look forward to your reviews, Hilariocities, and especially the Halloween specials. Happy Halloween!
I watched every single video in your Halloween special this year. Thanks, Chris. You’re one of the best TH-camrs around
Shame.
Chris, you are one of the most authentic people on TH-cam. Without knowing you personally I feel like I do after watching a million of your videos. Thank you for what you do, and for having the courage to follow your true passion. What you do has a positive impact on others. Always remember this. Happy Halloween dude.
Thank you for these reviews, I think I've watched every one you've uploaded. It was so nice to relax and "talk movies" during this difficult time.
