ASMR from 1995: "Relaxing Sounds with Dr. Matt" - A Lo-Fi Role Play

- A VHS tape found on a dusty shelf at the back of a thrift store contains some of the earliest known intentional ASMR triggers. This video showcases the contents of that tape.
In this lo-fi ASMR video, I play the role of Dr. Matt as he attempts to enlighten the world on his discoveries surrounding a variety of simple yet relaxing sounds. This video includes soft speaking, tapping, scratching, controller sounds, and plush toy sounds. I hope you'll enjoy it!

It’s weird, I feel an odd bit of sympathy for this character, some Joe Nobody, sitting at home, probably alone, nobody really knows who he is, selling homemade video tapes of his newfound ASMR, probably being vastly ignored for the most part. Matt, your artistry in creating characters is beyond amazing, you really should consider acting, or writing for that matter.

No sound quality would be so muffled in 1995, it was actually quite clear on VHS, more so then now.
Surprisingly, camcorders from this era are still around and it isn't too hard to get that 90s look and sound; Analog is just this way by nature. the video and sound was always a bit fuzzy.
I assume he definitely edited this to feel like it hadnt been seen for years and had gotten a little rot on it maybe, but I have yet to see one actual cut on this video. Did he do all this in one take?!

Lots of people comment that this character is lonely or a nobody. But I feel that this character is actually a very smart calm thoughtful person and a good husband and dad.
