Just got done doing a clutch kit and flywheel change on my back on my 55 Chevy first clutch change in 40 years,HA! Im in my 60S now and it was brutal.Invest in a 4 pole lift if your ceiling has the height or something if you can right now why your still young if you can swing it. I got my herniated discs at your age and it has sucked ever since. I use a Yoga foam mat where I can it helps pick one up. Someday you wont be able to do what you do now Im almost there ,LOLL and a 4 pole lift would help you now. Im never going under a car again for a big job at least but thats just me.... I work small outboards mostly..... Glenn

@Mike I feel your pain with back problems its the worse with arthritis hasnt set in yet with me & Im pushing 70. Im lucky. I play musical instruments dont know if that plays in with some of us to a keep arthritis away probably not. I use to get under my Uncles cars years ago 1970S.He was a Jaguar lover & he was around my age now & I know the story why ,LOLL! didnt then. Yes I just installed a cheap HarborFreight winch to pick up my outboards to work on in my garage overhead and I made a mobile cart check it out on my channel it saves the day should of done it years ago.... Take care take it easy if you can regards.... Glenn

I hear ya Outboard , for years I bench pressed my Muncie's and turbo 400's under my 56 Chevy's , now I'm 62 and have a nice shop and a 4 post lift but lack the energy I used to have plus the old bones hurt these days but the lift is nice , between my tractor , engine hoist and lift I don't pick up much more than my weight anymore , would have loved to have the lift back in my 20's and 30's , I even use it to pull my mowers up on sideways onto the jack trays and stand underneath to change the blades , the 4 post are cheap these days I paid $2900 for the 8k lb delivered and installed about 6 years ago .

    • @OutBoardTink62

@@ibraunchy204 I hear ya I use to push them up to the 4 speeds and three speeds on my stomach. Wouldnt even think of it today. Yeah energy wanes with age you do what you can. Im like that with my outboard hobby sometimes and im very passionate about them most times the cars not as much anymore I just unloaded a few to cleanup ....

I just love your 4dr to 2dr conversions. I had a 4dr bel air when I was in high school. My buddies liked the extra doors, because they didn’t have to climb over anybody in the front seat to get in the back, like a 2dr. I wished back then I had known about conversions like this, but nobody did. You were lucky if you could arch weld. And gas welding with coat hangers or brass, no migbwelders or tig welders then, so nowadays anything can be done with the right tools. I love your videos.

After 55 years of auto modding and building, I find that the ugly side of hot rodding is that there is NEVER enough time, tools, parts, space or money..."real life" tends to intervene at inconvenient periods as well. This entire scenario can lead to frustration, rage and of course mental illness....this of course leads to an unhealthy interest in bank robbery.
