@@dyliamvonkillsu i think its also space within atoms that is shrunk. I think like hydrogen alone is almost 90% empty space, so that could be the explanation there.

The movie did say Ant-man became lighter when he shrunk, but his strength stayed the same. What doesn’t make sense is when ant-man gets giant and gains super strength.

This one is my favorite so far. The Ant movie pitch lends itself especially well, and I find myself thinking, "this sounds exactly what I seriously envision in a pitch meeting."

My favorite explanation for the inconsistency of the tech is that Pimm just gave the quickest, easiest explanation Scott/the audience would understand, but it's actually more complicated.
Though it wouldn't even have been hard to explain it in a way that fits what we see in the movie: if the suit can do both shrinking the space between atoms and decreasing/increasing the size of said atoms, and this can be done together or swapped at will, then everything works. Which doesn't even technically contradict the idea that they retain their mass, since technically they'd still be made up of the same amount of material.
Nah, it just works that way because it's cool.

Hue Hue can’t really call it bad since it only did a few (20)million less than a freaking Superman movie.
It does have problems, but Marvel has built up enough good will, from good movies, that it sort of gets a pass.
Ant Man still was a pretty good heist comedy, marvel formula or not.

My least favorite thing about Iron Man 3 is that the blonde extremis subject who captured Rhodey/Iron Patriot when he entered the clothes workshop was forgotten off camera. The movie makes the rounds defeating/destroying all extremis powered bad guys, but she does not appear in any further scenes nor the final battle. Prove me wrong.

Someone pointed out how the Avengers compound has a security system that can detect ants but doesnt do anything when thanos appears and destroys the roof in Endgame lol
