    Thanks for this real world highway driving test. This result indicates that this size battery might be barely adequate for some use cases in the 208 but inadequate for the 2008 as an only car due to the higher drag from the taller body. 🤔

    IF leasing from work what ev would u recomend for town driving i have 30 miles usually round trip IN Belfast home futherest i might go away from is 30 miles so 60 mile round trip on the off chance I go to dublin maybe 100 mile so 200 round trip x

    Peugeot 2008 is nr.1 in sales charts at France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Ireland and Greece. In most countries it is in top 10. Sales success beyond expectations.

    Just to let you know the e208 and e2008 are getting a software update which really improves the charging curve.
    It will now hold 98 kw until 20% then 75kw until 60% and then 50kw until 80%.
    This is a new dealer update which also gives regen at 100% SOC.
    Mine goes for its update in 2 weeks

    useful info. the charging graphic infers tesla power transfer, Considering Tesla did not get it working even though his toroidal tower looked cool.

    Your 6km left was in real terms closer to 12 km as the GOM is set up to be pessimistic at the bottom.
    I have owned it’s smaller brother for over a year and it’s ok.
    Not the best EV but you can get 180/190 miles in summer and charges ok up to 73% then time to go.
    It’s Peugeot first attempt and not being on a dedicated platform it’s not too bad and you have to remember it’s relatively affordable.
    Having said all that I can’t wait to get an Ioniq 5 😀

      The e2008 seems to be a relatively silent car on the highway (even at 130 km/h).
      Do you agree?

    I see a tendency that car manufacturers are making cars with huge Akkus but the efficiency is crap. Even with 100 kw charging speed most of these new cars can’t even beat the old Ioniq classic. Even my leaf 40 got better range. In my ioniq at 130 km/h and with 215R18/40 wheels I still hover around 16 kWh and get between 160 and 170 kilometers range in this beautiful German weather.
    What use is a bigger battery if I have to spend more energy to get less distance covered?

    Thanks for vid. All the SUVs are inefficient. Same as my ZS EV. Model Y will be better but I don’t like the look of it. The lights look quite good? Cheers.

      Sorry no. Very similar car. Same battery and drive train. Range will be similar.

      The differences are then only the inside of the car and the infotainment system. You should check both cars at a dealer.

      @@RomanRoman-xi3dv I test drove EC4. Drive train is much better. If I didn't pre-order ID4, i would have considered Citroen. It was so comfortable.

    I don't get most idiotic comments here. You can for sure make a video to test in high speed but the car is clearly announced, at least in my country, as a c.i.t.y car. My dealer also made sure how many miles I do before advising it. I'm having an awesome time with the e-2008 in the past months. Don't diss Peugeot cause you got somehow cheated by your incompetence at choosing cars for your daily needs. Great price for the car (the esthetic is priceless), if you want more, then you'll spend more.

    quite disappointment. i wonder what 110km would be; -). In many cases that is real speed during the day. 2hours has be a target point.

      It really depends on if you need the extra space. We found the e208 rather small for us, while the e2008 was the perfect size.

    Not very impressed with the range to be honest. Let's say I take a 900km trip which happens on occasion. It would take me a lifetime to get there wasting an hour charging every 170km. No thanks, there are far better electric cars out there.

      @@Jonsk111 When did I ever write anything about driving at the speed of 130km/h? I get what you're trying to say, but I generalized a bit. The point is that I don't have neither the time nor the patience to waste hours at the charging station when I can fill up my extremely fuel efficient petrol car in two minutes.

      @@Moodo76 I get that too, situations differ. When the realistic range this gets is 250 and with a really good luck 300, in real life that is usually plenty. I test drove both e-niro and this one. Even though niro had a great range, I just couldn't swallow driving such a poor car compared to this when for me that range is not useful all the time. When I need to go for a longer trip I will just be patient and charge it. That's the price for getting a good car at this price point which also happens to be electric. I also have cheap charging at home and free one at work so very cheap driving.

    It's such an ugly car! 😣 With all of that disturbance to airflow around the nose, and such a tall profile, it's not surprising that it's quite inefficient at higher speeds. Thanks for running the tests.

      @@TrueSkeptic77 I agree with you, even the dash is great. Had a testdrive in one and had no probs with reading the gauges. Thats why i ordered one, mine is coming in October. Cant wait to test it for myself.
