    Drove one, impressive. Peugeot have stepped up their game so much lately. Pricier than before, but much better. Of course this car is more of a daily commute car, not long journeys

    Rain is really killing the range! I know, I drive a EV. Eco mode if you want maximum range and always in D mode when on highway except going down a mountain.

    Great video. I sold my EV 2008. I simply did not have any desire to be stressed for every trip. I slso didnt wand to calculate temperature, wind direction, rain or snow, use of heating and A/C and then sitting hours waitng for a free charger and charging.
    Now : 4 min loading diesel and repeating in 1150 km. No worries, no calculations, sufficient heating and A/C.
    No stress

    Good video and really nice car. For long travelling a ev is not suited. For me, a trip from the Hague to Luxemburg will cost 2 stops.... Now I can get there with no stop in my Volvo V50 D. This will cost me at least one hour extra. That is a lot in a normally 4 hour drive...

    Nice video Kris. Just a heads up on the 1st stop 45Kwh/23.6Kwh would mean a 190km range I also wonder about time efficiency once the car goes over 50% and defiantly 70% SoC as the charging speed drops to 50Kw. and 25Kw respectively. It certainly seem like stopping at 70% SoC and driving even to a 50Kw charger would save time.

      With the new BMS update its approx 98-99kw until 22% ish, and around 75kw until about 70-71%, but drops to about 50-55kw over about 71-72%.

      @@SuperWolffie But your ‘I heard’ sows the seeds of doubt in peoples minds. Perhaps check your facts before using ‘I heard’ to reduce the FUD factor. And as for using a sporty style using more energy then yes, that’s true - and the same as in an ICE car. Anybody can tell you that driving enthusiastically will increase consumption irrespective of what energy source is being used.
      EVs are a lot more efficient than any ICE car and will show a greater difference if used for such things as towing or harsh acceleration etc and that’s because they are more efficient.

      @@SirHackaL0t. I am sure that what i said is true or near the truth. I am not sure where I heard it but it was an official test. If I only knew where. Fact is that with the increase of speed above the normal limit in the Netherlands the consumption of ev is much more increasing the petrol or diesel engines. Fact is that going on the highway with speeds of 120-130 km/h the reach is heavely less.

      Why would I buy an EV just for commuting! You people don’t understand that in The United States we travel for pleasure, not just commuting! My Etron was sold as 204 miles. On highway going 75 mph only gets 163 miles of range. In town driving maybe 198 miles. There are not any high speed chargers in the city that I live in of over 100,000 people. I charge at home every night! I would like to take many trips if I could. I liked the Etron better than the model y.

    This is not a range test? With a range test you charge to 100% and then you drive to almost empty. Then you see what range you get. This is a 615 km challenge.

    • @leahkantonreales2518
      @leahkantonreales2518 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Challenge and test are synonyms, and this is a test because the test is how long does it take to drive the 615k including charging. A challenge would be something like “can you go 615km?”

  • @philiplee7604
    @philiplee7604 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    So “ real world” driving range from full charge, is around 130km ( if you don’t want to be driving at under 10% charge left) this is completely unexceptable... furthermore, the constant stress of having to do ‘guesstimating’ ruins the driving experience. BIG THUMBS DOWN PEUGEOT!!!

    • @cerryabc
      @cerryabc 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Just because he doesn't know how to show the battery % doesn't mean the car doesn't have it.
      It can be shown briefly on any dash option by pressing the button on the end of the indicator stalk, or full-time (on the energy profile dash screen he keeps showing in his videos) by pressing the same button.
