I watched all the way through brilliant I’ve refound my love of painting at over 70 years old and found this very helpful. Thank you. Wish I was younger as struggle with technology you make zooming in the reference photo look so easy. In the middle of this corona virus here in England but not in lockdown so have more time on my hands to paint. I’ve spent the last 48 years of my life volunteering helping others understand the bible and its prophecies now its time to paint. THANK YOU 😊

Something as seemingly simple as how to clean brushes left me dazed and confused when I found 10 different ways of doing it in 10 different posts. I realize that there are many ways to do things, but I find your message very clear, consistent and credible. I like your gentle and methodical approach to all of your posts. zukini lmao, this video was actually really helpful. I'm in year 10 and just started my Art GCSE. For my second portfolio I have to do 3 paintings, I'm doing Henry Matisse's: The Blue Window (1913), The Window (1916) and The Closed Window (1919). I discovered that he uses oil paintings and to make my artist copy as realistic as possible I want to use the same medium. I watched your other video on oil paints as well as this one. Thanks they were really helpful!!
Zucchini again. Well, some kind of squash, anyway. This time I actually painted it. That didn't go as I hoped. But after I wiped the cherries off and tried again, and wiped them off again ... I got out a little #4 sable cats tongue and just painted the cherries I've been looking at. The soft brush didn't scrape up the other colors so much, and now i've got me some cherries here. Thank you very much.

Zucchini. I'm going to try oils again, because I found out about Schmincke's Medium W. (Last time, my lungs were too damaged for the solvent fumes). It comes in a gel, so I can picture using it the way you show with your gel. I have all these colors in the precious box of ten tubes I've ordered, and your cherries will be my first project.
