Evening folks! Welcome to the first of (hopefully) a four part mini-series documenting my trip to Toronto. In tonight's video I'm warming up for the big contest with a rather ill-advised giant steak challenge...I know...I'll never learn ;) Let me apologise for the fact that there's no timer on this video...Trying to turn around these videos, editing, commentating, annotating etc. has been a bit hectic, so I actually wound up getting 4 minutes into the edit before realising I'd missed the timer. It would've taken too long to go back and include it, but hey...all the more reason for you to watch Joel's version of the video when he uploads! Joel is a beast, he downed that steak like it was a slice of cake, and it was cooked wrong on top of that, damn! I would've choked out on some of those bites he was taking.

It's funny, in my steak eating out experience, most places didn't supply a decent steak knife 😋 WTF I'd be bringing my own for backup 😂 ❤ alot of meat guys, cheers 👍 😊

I did a 72 once in Texas once. Intentionally did't eat nothing the previous day & crushed it. Ironically from experience I'll say the leaner you are the more you can stomach in a single sitting. This was 2001 when I was playing alot of sport. These days I'm 40 and can hammer 6 forequarter lamb chops with a salad as a max, but I'm 30pnds heavier now & a 72oz steak would put me in hospital haha.
In many steakhouses that I have been in, the knives are as dull on the front edge as on the back. there are big teeth that snag rather than cut. Takes a lot of the joy out of a good piece of meat.
I would like to see you guys just enjoying yourselves while eating. Yum expressions, tasty food expressions. Glad you are all eating for the rest of us. :)

Oooh yes! Been wanting to see you and Joel collab for a long time! Both of you are great people and great eaters and I've always wondered who'd be fastest in a eating challenge (As the ones both of you do, not direct competitions). Keep up the great content!

Naaa; Toronto literally has hundreds of steak houses. This restaurant is not one of them; clearly. Not exactly a great advertisement for the place, I’m surprised they served such crap.
Unfortunatly they probably overcooked it just to make it that much more difficult to beat. Can almost guarantee every person that tries gets an overcooked steak. Most average eaters couldnt push through, glad you two were able to finish.
I'm a Canadian and lived in 3 provinces. I have never met anyone that says aboot! Oh and Eh is from Britain originally. Keep coming with the hilarious videos.
That’s why I always cut my steak to check it’s cooked the way I ordered before the waitress leaves the table 😅 also, it’s also sometimes referred to washyersister sauce down here in the depths of the southern US
