A race-to-8 double elimination bracket will reduce the field to 32 players who will then face single elimination, race to 10, to determine the champion.
This will be the ninth staging of the men’s World 8-Ball Championship. It had previously been played in Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates before being revived from a ten-year hiatus in Puerto Rico last year.
Also taking place in Klagenfurt this week: the Predator WPA World 10-Ball Women’s Championship (18-22 October) and the Predator WPA World 10-Ball Junior Championships (19-22 October), which has divisions for Girls, Boys Under-19s and Boys Under-17s.

Every match I’ve watched in this 8 ball championship has had horrible lag in the feed.

Shane is the best!! You know how you can tell?/ The broadcasters have no clue what his next shot is !!! His thinking and movement is far beyond what most see. I think Jeremy Jones knows him best and he is quite the player himself.
While I cant complain about free high quality content, the spotty replay and some production mistakes make this one a little unwatchable. Will keep supporting and expect improvement from this highly capable team

It's good that Shane can turn down his hearing-aids because that way he doesn't have to hear that utterly annoying background music that always seems to play at these matches. I just don't understand this. Of all the music one can play at such an event this is the nonsense that is piped throughout the arena, fortunately I can just mute that noise.
The lag in these videos is terrible, the music played while I’m trying to watch the video is terrible and annoying, and tell the commentary to talk about 50 percent less. Holy hell pro billiards.

(stripe goes by 8, 8 doesn't go by stripe but in a hard side pocket shot)... although he did win that rack, stripes looked a lot easier. (just because there are two dead ducks doesn't mean ya take em with plans.)
I love how the commentators absolutely refuse to mention some of these mud racks, always the players fault evidently. Absolute clowns.
