I really like this interview and I agree with Nick. Not going to the funeral doesn't mean he doesn't love or respect his sister. I know what's it's like having issues with family. There are a lot of issues in my extended family. I'm glad Nick is finding himself and in a better place. If something is toxic to your well being, you don't need to put yourself in that situation. It will only cause you to spiral backwards. I know he will never stop caring about his family and through all the bad, it's been good he had the rest of the guys in the group to lean on. They have been more of a family to him than anyone else have.
My dad has pretty much the same relationship with his family... its mostly about money and never about love. He's never stood up for himself even after the issues leaked into our family... I am so glad Nick did. I've read really hurtful stuff about stuff his family did, and I have to say he's such a strong person to overcome everything life threw his way, and still be himself. Warrior.
Yes! Some families are toxic, period, and you shouldn't put yourself in that for anyone's sake.

He really reminds me of my boyfriend in my 20s.. not obviously the fame and success part, but him as a person, his family and his personal struggles with alcohol and sex addiction. You can tell nick struggled with being faithful and screwed up some past relationships because of a lot of his issues. I hope nick manages to keep to his word when it comes to his wife now. He seems like such a nice man and he has a lovely family now. He is very likeable and down to earth. He seems so grown up compared to that old reality show he did. He’s done a lot of work on himself you can tell.
The story about him singing to the blades of grass as millions of people and standing on his stump like a stage is SO ADORABLE!!! AWW! LIL NICKY!!! xD

Nick’s life has been quite a journey. All the hardships, fame, upside down, the problems he’s facing, the lifestyle that he had gone through (women, alcohol, drugs) and etc. for me is what makes him the Nick Carter today. Human make mistakes all the time. It’s the not to repeat the same mistakes will make them to be a better human being overall. Now, I’m witnessing Nick having a wonderful wife and children (his own family) and the BSB still going strong. I’m wishing Nick and his own family and the BSB a happy life.

I agree with what Nick is saying. You don't actually have to be at the Funeral to show respect for that person. Especially if you are putting yourself in harm's way for possible emotional abuse, or in general you just don't feel like being depressed.

at first, i was like he should've put his families differences aside and gone out of respect for his sister. However, having heard that he didn't want to go because he didn't want it to turn into something that it shouldn't have been, changes my mind. i agree that if his presence would've taken away from it being about saying goodbye, He did the right thing. much respect for Nick.

Fantastic interview. Usually those interviewers would ask the same questions over and over again.. that I could answer them in Nick's behalf. But this one had a lot of new and deep questions. I feel that even Nick enjoyed answering them. Thank you for uploading.. I Heart Nick Carter! .. I DO!

Aaron will get sorted out .. his family need to support him best they can as his father has since now passed so that will hurt
I think it's because Aaron was younger and he was kind of alone. Nick had the other 4 Backstreet Boys.
I'm convinced as the youngest, he learnt how to be more mature from the other boys in the band whilst Aaron was alone
These kids in this family have been thru hell .. I wish them all the best and pray for their continued healing.
Mr. Rover, I think that it was a very nice interview that you gave to Nick. You were very down to earth with him, and fun. And I think that it was very nice of you to put the most difficult questions last, and not bombard him with the difficult stuff like most celebrity interviewers.

Oh really? Wow! That's interesting. I'm glad the boys put that chapter of their career behind them. I think it's really dumb that Lou said that when he's released from prison that he will continue his quest for the next big music act. Like people will think he's credible.

He is definitely a legend and will stay one. BSB was an inspiration for me throughout my teens and I really consider it to be the best boy band ever. Secretly I wanted to be, and imagined myself to be a part of this band. I sang their songs. It is nice to learn what is actually behind the legend. Thank you for this interview.

Gosh I love how genuine, bright, poised and humble he is!! I agree with how he has to deal with his family. I have read much about his family and saw both of his reality shows, so I know how absolutely wild that crew is!!
I met Nick several times when he toured with Jordan Knight in their duo Nick & Knight . I had such a great time. They sounded great and were so much fun together & with me. I hope they do it again!!!

The radio host whatever his name is seemed real underhanded shady af! Just certain things he said about taking another guys girl, sleeping with thousands of girls, glad he was fat, and him being called a jerk for not going to his sisters funeral and other stuff. Dude is a low key asshole. And Nick is a really great person. So happy for him and glad hes happy and in a good place. :)
I wanna say that making those comments and pressing Nick to reveal the nitty gritty is part of his job as a radio talk show host. He's asking questions a lot of average people are curious to have answered. Also bringing up tough subjects and Nicks past simply just makes for better content. This is normal. I'm sure Nick went into the interview knowing the type of questions he had coming.

I don't know why but Nick really looks like David Beckham these days, I think it's the spikey hair? This guy's transformation is pretty over the top. When he first started out he was really skinny than from there he gain tons of weight and not he beefed up like some athlete...Way to go Nick!

How sad Nick’s parents blamed him for his sister’s death... I know how it feels, after my dad’s funeral my sister and my mom were blaming me for my dad’s death because supposedly I never took him with the doctor.. and plus they were claiming I didn’t give them money to pay the funeral, is because I didn’t want to, I couldn’t, I was broke.. we didn’t talk for like over a month.
