- Our sliding door was having issues with the interior door handle and it continually got worse on our last road trip to Canada (videos to come!)
As a result, we could not open the sliding door from the inside which isn't a good situation so I decided it was time to replace it with a new mechanism.
This video shows how I replaced the mechanism so that you can see how it's done before you do yours. It fairly simple and I think I provide a somewhat detailed description.
Thanks for watching and please do check out the Rambling with Phil TH-cam channel for other T1N Sprinter DIY videos as well as videos of our adventures.
Here is the link to the eBay item I purchased if interested (the price on this listing has gone up significantly since I purchased this part):

It's a pretty common problem unfortunately.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks! Handles been giving me grief for a year and I'm going to tackle it today. Hoping I can just bend the metal back into position.
Thanks for watching and for your comment!
Good luck!
Were you able to bend it back? I'm having the same issue so I was wondering
It was bent back a few times already but the more you do that the weaker the tab gets. In a pinch, it will do but long term it will likely eventually break off.
Awesome video Phil keep it up
Thanks for watching!

Can you share a link to the part you found?
I added the eBay link for the item I purchased. It has gone up significantly in price since I bought it but there are "similar" products suggested once you look at the item listing.
Thanks for your question and for watching!!
surely u can just bend that part back straight?
You can but it will just bend itself back because the metal is fatigued
