- Kevin O'Sullivan and Aaqil Ahmed debate the BBC's commitment to impartiality, with Kevin arguing that the BBC is not immune to bias and that its journalists are not always objective.
Kevin suggested that the BBC's policy of not referring to Hamas as a terrorist organization is a form of bias. Aaqil Ahmed defended the BBC's commitment to impartiality.

I no longer watch the bbc, especially the news, question time etc , I got sick of ripping my hair out , it was torture to watch
Once the royal charter ends for the BBC in 2027, it should never be renewed and the bbc licence fee done away with. Personally I don't pay for it, you can easily work around it and never pay a penny. It needs to be a subscription based service. They spent £498 million+ from 2022 to 2023 on radio stations, absolutely crazy.
The BBC are so biased and woke I stopped paying 20 years ago.
They were woke before it was called woke.
When it was just called antisemitism
BBC trying to get it right? Really? Give us a break.
All MSM broadcasting need shutting down
So Aaqil thinks just because sky and ITV do something as well, it can't be bias. I don't think he understands what bias means.
he's just protecting the BBC. He's clearly a Muslim what else is he going to say?
He knows. He is not interested. He is the problem.
I've just cancelled my TV license and feel good about it.😊😊😊
When BBC knocks at your door keep them talking to waste their time. Don't let them in
@@DrJams Say NOTHING, they are experts and may get enough to apply for a warrant.
5 years for me so far .
I don't actually recall ever seeing the BBC being impartial they report what they want in an impartial way.
Aaqil Ahmed shows his true colours. Wants Gazans to be called murdered, still doesn't call Hamas terrorists. Just cancel the Licence fee and let the BBC wallow in their own pit.
Don't watch the British Bent corporation so not interested what tomtit they broadcast
Look at any BBC interview with an Israeli representative. There is no doubt about heavy anti Israel bias of the interviewer.
Trapped in their own group think.....spot on👍
The BBC use their far left sleight of hand so they can mostly present a far left view point
We don't watch TV, live, record it live, or use the BBC iPlayer App. Therefore we do not require a TV Licence. Oh boy, do we get the threatening letters each and every month. The problem with everyone talking about the TV Licence fee is that it is most likely to become a real unavoidable TAX for everyone here in the UK. Talks about a "Media TAX" via Broadband Services or the worst of all, added to Council TAX. One way or another in 2027 the BBC will continue to be funded weather you subscribe or not. I'd rather keep it the same as it is, at least we that don't watch TV have a choice to pay or not to pay.
The BBC is unbelievably biased! What planet is this guy on? Plus, having him on to debate this just shows that TalkTV isn’t an echo chamber! He’s putting up a defence of the BBC against Kevin so it’s hardly an echo chamber 😂
Don't try and re educate pushing your woke ideology, entertain, or cease to exist as a publicly funded entity.
Group think destroys thinking. Dare to think needs to be the guiding idea for the free individual.
Its got even worse since they put in place the unit called verify. BBC ME is a big problem. I no longer waste my time watching BBC, Sky or ITV.
There so far up Palestinians arse its shocking how bias how the hell is lineker still working for saying the hamas thing
I listen to Radio 4 news in the car and then shows like this and I can tell you the BBC has a relentless agenda of a range of about a dozen topics which they revisit over and over again based on controversial assumptions which are being fiercely argued over by the scientific community and the rest of the country. They also cherry pick the news out of all the obviously big and unusual important events globally and nationally. If that’s not bias I don’t know what is. It’s refreshing that these views are questioned by the likes of Talk TV. These channels like Talk TV are needed so people can make their own minds up especially as the BBC is the mainstream news and don’t even contemplate the idea they could be wrong unless it’s blatantly obvious. Unfortunately for them thousands are leaving because of this attitude.
Exactly exactly exactly
whats Kevins obsession with another broadcaster? He should concentrate in trying to promote his own little channel first
This!
@@Cherrytune386 this what?
Oh dear.
Why don't you go and promote your channel.
Impartial news is when the news reader just reads the news without giving his or her or its (😂) opinion
The BBC are rude, ignorant they show contempt for the people that pay for the license one of the women on there stuck her finger up just as it was being broadcast what does that tell ya
The news coverage is much the same on all mainstream channels as the 'supernatural' correspondent put it.
The BBC presentation is now 'Blue Peter ' esque for simple folks, with exaggerated hand gestures and faux concern by the presenters.
Aaqil Ahmed has described the current BBC (It is an echo chamber of their own left wing bias and pro Hamas sentiment, so I fail to see how it can be considered impartial), totally pro Hamas (Even accepting casualty figures by Hamas which even has realised are inflated by 50% or more), up till recently they accepted Hamas propaganda as fact while being either dismissive or downright sceptical of Israel.
😂😂😂😂 Its Talk TV and GBeebies that are stuck in their own group think tank 🤬🤔🤮
Are you actually serious? Kevin having this debate with this BBC lover just shows that TalkTV ISN’T an echo chamber!
Lots of BBC journalists are so narcasistic it beggars belief. Bowen, Simpson, Robinson, Kuenssberg, etc. They aren't chosen by the public to represent the public voice in our "state broadcaster" ranks, and they're often so utterly biased in their interviews and reports that it makes one gasp in disbelief. The bombastic and disrespectful performance on R4 of, in particular, Nick Robinson regularly has me swearing loudly in the car. De-fund the BBC and let these people go.
Eastenders is the only half decent show on bbc
