    Oh dear, I was researching the possibility of doing this same border crossing by the same bus company but the 3 hours stuck in immigration check point building is a total no no. It’s such a shame, back to flight I guess. Thank you for your invaluable info . Maybe there are more Cambodians needing to cross border into Thailand.

    Why did you need to transfer buses? Giant Ibis supposedly operates a direct service using the same bus all the way to Bangkok...very strange.

    • @therock8224
      @therock8224 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      At 5:37 you can see a direct Siem Reap-Bangkok bus passing by.

    • @TheTeacherTraveler
      @TheTeacherTraveler  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is still the same bus company. Its not hassle because they are the one who will carry your luggage.

    • @therock8224
      @therock8224 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheTeacherTraveler Still looks far too complicated for my liking, since there are several direct buses where you don't have to change transportation at the border. The one at 5:37 is one of them - 2 services are normally operated between Bangkok and Siem Reap daily, in each direction.
      If I were ever to catch the bus between Bangkok and Cambodia, I would take a direct bus, like the Bangkok-Phnom Penh bus my Vietnamese friend caught several years ago. Nice and easy, no need to hike with your luggage over several hundred meters not knowing where the next bus is waiting.

    • @therock8224
      @therock8224 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheTeacherTraveler Yes but the bus you took on the Thai side was a random bus not connected to Giant Ibis. It was just a normal private Thai bus. I presume Giant Ibis contracted that firm to drive it's passengers on to Bangkok.
      Personally I find it totally unnecessary given Thailand and Cambodia share an agreement on cross-border transportation and I've personally seen many Cambodian plated buses and vans operating the routes from Siem Reap or Phnom Penh to Bangkok and also Thai buses on the Cambodian side as visible in your video.

Pero if going to Bangkok ang pa uwi, i am afraid you need to travel again to siem reap and from siem reap going to bangkok. I suggest land nlng kayo in Phonm Penh para straight ang biyahe.

Wala lang lunch, pero si Giant Ibis medyo mahal pero services the best. You get what you pay. Pwede ka man mag mekong from phonm penh to siem reap din giant ibis siem reap to bangkok.
