I've owned a PC since I was like... 9. Mom worked for IBM, got a PC right when they started making them available in households. Throughout my PC life, I've replaced the entire PC twice which was a few hundred bucks each time, and I've upgraded individual parts to keep it in line with them modern gaemz graffix over several years which has cost probably a few thousand altogether. I've had slowdowns, viruses, other things like that, but nothing that's really ruined my experience. My PC's always survived viruses, it's always come back from crashes, hardware failures, etc. and they don't really happen anywhere near as often as people like to say. On average I think my PC's crashed, even when pushing it to the absolute limit, maybe twice a year. I went to a 2D animation class in college where they had recently 'upgraded' the computers to Macs because they were the 'superior artist platforms.' You just gotta learn to play it. That's not a detriment to the system. The detriment to the system was that in the single semester I was in that 2D animation class, flash caused the Mac to go to a black screen of death for me hundreds of times. I lost progress in my animations, I had horrible slowdowns that made restarting the Mac the only option, and I had more file corruptions in three class sessions than I'd had with my home PC in the last three years. And it wasn't just me! Out of the 34 people in the class, like 29 of them had the black screen of death. We wound up having to do a written essay as our final because more than 90% of the class couldn't retrieve their final animation project because their Macs had crashed and needed to be sent to Apple for repairs. I've never had more trouble with a personal computer than I had with Macs. Maybe the class just had shitty models, but there was about 120,000 bucks worth of hardware in that room, and it failed to run the simplest art programs. Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, all they did was crash, corrupt, destroy the hardware, etc. Maybe my situation was an isolated one, but, I'm certainly not pooling my money with Mac. As much as I love this episode, those zipper merges are there for a reason. They cut down on congestion and stop traffic from backing up so far. So instead of 50 cars in one lane backed up a block, it’s 25 cars in each line only half a block back.
I've owned both Mac and PC. I like pc more because I can customize it to my liking. Besides I can build a pc more powerful than a new Mac for a much cheaper price.
I hate when they put romance in movies just for the sake of it. For example, The Giver. The book was amazing. But I refuse to watch the movie because they fucked it up with a love story that should've never been there in the first place. The book focused on the boy. Why did they decide in the movie to focus on a relationship?! It tweaks the story. And not in a good way.
On driving: The point of a zipper merge is to fill both lanes and then merge at the end. It's the people moving over too early that are causing traffic. If everyone used both lanes there wouldn't be one empty lane. Also, if someone wants to get in front of you let them. Otherwise you're being a douche for no reason other than a single car length.
It's the law in places like Germany, as it's the most efficient use of the road. They taught me to do it in driver's ed, but people prefer to line up and keep the other lane empty for some reason. It's even more confusing when people don't do it at a light, far fewer cars end up making it through a green.

7 years later, Apple computers are still trash. They’re just now getting proper support for more games. I have an iPad that’s a useful side screen but trying to transfer data between it & my PC or even within itself is needlessly complicated or impossible.
Got to agreed with them, Macs are over-hyped, over-priced, limited pieces of polished turd that is only supported by rich kids that want to show off how much their money parents have. I got a Mac, and all i use it for is to run Windows with only half-quality games, despite a $2000 price tag. If you want to buy a Mac, thats fine. But don't give me that shit that its easier to do multimedia shit. Any adobe program works wonders and is better than any app, and I find it was easier to 3D model and Photoshop on a Windows.
When it comes to gaming and just pure processing power, PC's are cleary better, but I prefer being able to use Final Cut Pro and other video and audio recrordings on a Mac.
I use final cut pro at the community college which I get into for free. And we have one family computer. I really don't see how you could come with a conclusion like that with so little information. If feeling superior to others by mocking them and showing how you're some shining example of a working class man with a PC is really so important than maybe your priority's are in the wrong place.
My grandpa got into a motorcycle accident and he was split from right nut(which he lost obviously)to like 2 inches above his belly button. Miraculously he survived.

My house got a mac at one stage. It took me two whole weeks to figure out the fucking process to partition the hard drive. Several hours a day for two weeks. Then the fan broke because the mac couldn't handle n64 emulators. They aren't bad. They just can't handle anything any way heavy duty. However, the free hit plate on the back is great for those buisnessmen who love third degree burns!

The cow pattern computer company was Gateway, the only reason I know this is because when I was a little baby my parents had one and I would look at the box and go moo
I've used a mac, it's like riding a bike, it gets you somewhere and it's fine if you want a nice scenic view, but if you want to get somewhere faster and more comfortably, you drive a car, like using a pc
I owned a Mac laptop, and you know what it was really, really good. Not good for gaming but everything else it did better than any of my other laptops, too bad I'm a dork and like gaming but I'm not going to bash Mac because I actually consider it good, better in most aspects.
I had a Mac that took a minute for the mouse to move across the screen. Surprisingly, the only app that it ran without crashing was Halo Combat Evolved, but it ran like 10 fps.
Mac's really are terrible, anyone that defends it really doesn't know much about computers. No matter what price a Mac is, that same price could buy a PC that is 3x better. That isn't a PC master race statement, I own all platforms, but it's true. Apple products are a fashion statement, for power they're worthless. $8,000 for a Mac that I hear nothing but bad reviews about? $8,000 could buy an incredible top tier PC, don't screw yourself out of value by choosing a Mac.
Sir Willis IV the argument is about how you can get way more for the price of a mac if you just bought a PC. He's saying you can get way more bang for your buck at equal or less than a Mac.
Cool...I’ve had the same MacBookPro I got as a graduation gift from high school and it helped me graduate college. No viruses, adobe creative suite worked just fine, and it satisfies all my internet needs. I’ve also worked on PC’s and they’re also fine. I don’t play PC games so I could see how that matters to some, but I don’t care about them so I just have a perfectly functional piece of machinery and getting anal about it just makes you look like a child
Nikolas Mokalis if you aren't using a Mac for gaming and just as clean internet machine then I can respect that. Hell, its the industry standard for graphic design, animation, etc.
I live right next to a highway overpass, and NOBODY uses their turn signal. You can turn over the bridge, or go straight onto the highway, but people don't think to use their signal when they turn.
As someone who has had experience with both Macs and PCs, I believe Macs are better for work/graphic design (photoshop, illustrator, indesign, etc.) while PCs are good for pretty much everything else.
I've also worked with both a PC and Mac, and from what I can gather from what I've learned from the two is that maybe the reason why people love Mac might be due to the simple interface (for the most part), because PCs can run circles around Macs, but you need to know what to, and what not to touch. While on the Mac they just remove the ability to do complex things. Which means you have less chances to fuck-up, and start back from square one. *TLDR* PC are mostly trial & error, but are able to out-preform Macs Macs are good with simple things, but stumble when you do anything complex.
Scratching my head at Zach talking about not getting why people like cars that look nice. Like dude you're literally an artist and you don't understand why people want things to look aesthetically pleasing to them?
@@davidlynchgaming I just don't understand this low IQ talking point. The history of car and artistic impressions of them go hand in hand. By that standard literally everything should look plain and boring, but newsflash they aren't. Humans are artistic creatures not practical automatons.
@@davidlynchgaming In fact one could argue that what Zach considers "plain and practical" to another it could be extremely beautiful and aesthetically pleasing.
@@davidlynchgaming says who? And since when? I can't think of one period in history or culture that didn't have tools designed with lots of artistic expression in mind. It takes a lot of creativity to be able to even design something as complex as a car and you're completely ignoring human nature as if it's really that hard to understand why we like to personalize tools. Makes me wonder if I'm not talking to some A.I
@@davidlynchgaming This is literally the equivalent to asking "why do people like to eat different kinds of food? Why don't they just the cheapest most plane food that gives them all the basic nutrients they need to survive?"
@@davidlynchgaming Not necessarily. Although that depends. People often use different mediums to express higher ideas or their inner self so I don't see why this can't apply to things like vehicles. I'm not saying you personally have to be passionate about cars, but I'm sure if you think about it there's probably some thing or object that you've put more care into making it your own.
Ya know, in regards to their mac/pc argument. I’ve still got my 2013 MacBook Pro to this day and never once has it crashed, gotten a virus or given me problems. And it’s still receiving the most recent macOS updates and software. It’s an 8 year old laptop that’s still supported and works perfectly fine

True, but honestly, when I got Adobe Premiere, it was better for videos anyway.
But yeah, it is actually good, but still kinda limited.
So you're a rich kid who wants to show up how much money your parents have?
I use final cut pro at the community college which I get into for free. And we have one family computer. I really don't see how you could come with a conclusion like that with so little information. If feeling superior to others by mocking them and showing how you're some shining example of a working class man with a PC is really so important than maybe your priority's are in the wrong place.
the only way i disagree is the OS. I think that the OS is much easier to use in every way hands down.
My grandpa got into a motorcycle accident and he was split from right nut(which he lost obviously)to like 2 inches above his belly button. Miraculously he survived.
someone once compared a mac to a Lamborghini. I replied "yeah it's fast and works well until it doesn't and you have to take a second mortgage on your house to repair it"
My eighth grade science teacher did the "oh hey didn't see you there" thing to the entire class just as class started.
Is it unreasonable to say Zach is always right... and the coolest?
Still watching theses guys
This has now convinced me to:
1. Never swim in oceans again.
2. Go to non-mainstream porn websites
3. To not get drunk and hit PP in the balls
4. Fuck Macbooks
5. Penguins have knees
6. I am not a car person either
7. Never play chicken with anyone in Sleepy Cabin
8. Fuck FF 10
9. :"Hai, I didnt see you there" is dumb.
10. Disaster movies are really predictable.
11. Godzilla IS FUCKING COOL
Great Podcast :)
You are convinced to penguins have knees?
"This has now convinced me to Penguins have knees"
"This has now convinced me to I am not a car person either"
"This has now convinced me to "Hai, I didnt see you there" is dumb."
"This has now convinced me to Disaster movies are really predictable."
"This has now convinced me to Godzilla IS FUCKING COOL"
Maybe "This episode of SleepyCast has taught me:" would have been a better option.
It would have MudKipz OverLordz
Omg this is historical I can't believe it's been 4 years? It's almost nostalgic listening to these fucking jokes on Soundcloud when I was working overtime at a shitty job... good times
Did he just mention mirelurks? I love all of you.
would you rather be a ghoul or synth. synth, lives forever but everyone hates you. ghoul, you live forever, you look like a red skull but some people hate you and you look like red skull.
Mirelurks are only 2/10 danger points
Mac users are like little kids putting their fingers in their ears and going "LALALALA I CANT HEAR YOU"
My house got a mac at one stage.
Also you can buy a better pc for under half the price.
donnacha o brien you can also buy a PC for 200 that lasts longer then any consoles :\
donnacha o brien weren't you more worried that you house got a Mac without your permission?
***** my current computer is 12 years old since may 3rd and my NES still works as well although my XB360 has broken because it is the original Halo3 Legend edition version.
Wheyrlen Dragonfist New consoles suck at lasting through the ages, especially the 360.
Nothing can beat the upgradability and power of a PC.
PC Masterrace

jthm cemented my love for alternative comics
Samuel L Jackson is always an entertaining actor. He’s either amazing and entertaining, or he’s completely awful and still extremely entertaining.
Some lakes aren't stillbodies of water, the great lakes sometimes have sea side waves.
I got a red lobster advertisement about crab.

I'M OUT
The cow pattern computer company was Gateway, the only reason I know this is because when I was a little baby my parents had one and I would look at the box and go moo
I've used a mac, it's like riding a bike, it gets you somewhere and it's fine if you want a nice scenic view, but if you want to get somewhere faster and more comfortably, you drive a car, like using a pc
Except this as an alternate universe where bikes cost 50,000 and cars cost like 500
I've never listened past two minutes till today when I heard your Jesus episode. That just made me a fan
Whaaaa'? I had no idea you guys had a Podcast. Maybe this can turn into the next Wisenheimers for me :D
I listen to this while building and applying decals to Gunpla. It's therapeutic xD
I owned a Mac laptop, and you know what it was really, really good. Not good for gaming but everything else it did better than any of my other laptops, too bad I'm a dork and like gaming but I'm not going to bash Mac because I actually consider it good, better in most aspects.
I love how often Cory references fallout 3. Because I also love fallout 3.
+Kileymae Houldson coffee and tv
+Adyew lol you just made my day

Golden Sun? 57:00
Golden sun is the best turn-based game that I love to this day.

Hard agree, sf3 animation is so good it's unreal. And it's my favourite fighting game, it's beautiful to play and look at
Imagine being terrified of a standing body of water
I live in Florida, anything larger than a generous puddle can be assumed to harbor man-eating dinosaurs. Can relate
One of my favorite podcasts! :D
Fuck Ive been listen to the shit out of these podcasts
I had a Mac that took a minute for the mouse to move across the screen. Surprisingly, the only app that it ran without crashing was Halo Combat Evolved, but it ran like 10 fps.
I've used a larger variety of macs than PCs due to my schools having them grades 1-12, can confirm, they're dog shit
I have this kid at my old school who always complained how he would be so cool in the zombie apocalipz and that he wished it was real
28:32 I always have to skip this part because the amount of times Chris says "right" gets super annoying

ITT People that don't live near the beach talk about how scary the beach is.
Colin The Gamer but, macs are sex, yo.
you just proved his point
OrochiHankHill And a PC will still kill it at Photoshop and all that other shit. Macs work, they just cost too much.
*TLDR*
PC are mostly trial & error, but are able to out-preform Macs
Macs are good with simple things, but stumble when you do anything complex.
I use both, love using both for different things :)
All the dislikes are from the krabkingdom
Unlimited money?
Buy out TH-cam and make it better for people who give a shit about what they create.
"Penguins are insects"
I'm glad you guys like the original Spider-Man movies better than the new ones.
