It's 2022 and I'm listening to this podcast again at work because if I don't have a good podcast in my ear I'll lose my mind from the mundane tasks I have to preform. This episode had lots of good moments and discussions so I'm not surprised it has 1M views.
Superman is sort of a hard character to understand these days. He's less about being able to stop villains more powerful then him and more about the struggles of power management. It's not about striving to be the best like Batman, it's about what you do once you ARE the best. I like a down to earth Superman who has a compulsion to help others because he's constantly trying to prove his worth to the human race and always trying to earn their trust even though it isn't always easy. That and longing to be somewhere else since he always sort of feels alone. Lex Luthor is a great villain for him because he basically sums up everything every of modern day thinks about Superman: they think he's an asshole and they're infuriated by how perfect he is and have their own opinions about how to use power better, but ultimately Lex is a piece of shit who because of his genius intellect has the POTENTIAL to be as powerful as Superman, but he wastes all of his time trying to make Superman out to not be that great rather then being great himself.
Whenever people say "Music today" they generally talk about the shit that's on the radio, which is extremely misleading. In my opinion music is better and more interesting than ever! You just gotta know where to look for the good stuff.

She lost a lot of weight in the summer and we weren't really able to talk to each other mainly because we don't each other numbers nor did we have a similar school schedule. But during the summer, I was walking and then we bumped into each other. I thought this was pretty interesting because I carried out the same kind conversation I would have with her before the weight lost. I didn't bother asking her about the weight. I noticed certain expressions that she had on her face. Expressions you wouldn't notice if you didn't really pay close enough attention. It was like a bit of being surprised and also curious. I found it pretty interesting because I wondered what kind of people do she talk to now that made her surprised about her interaction with me.

At the risk of sounding like a mega hipster it's a simply a matter of which band or singer you prefer, or maybe a specific scene you prefer. And the most honest answer you can give is usually whatever non-trendy stuff you happen to be into, because that's the shit that remains timeless. Which makes the "era of music" question all the more meaningless, because great music sounds like it could've come from any era, ignoring recording quality of course.

I'm sick of people asking which era was the best for music, you can't just group the quality of music by whatever decade it happened to come out. At the risk of sounding like a mega hipster it's a simply a matter of which band or singer you prefer, or maybe a specific scene you prefer. And the most honest answer you can give is usually whatever non-trendy stuff you happen to be into, because that's the shit that remains timeless. Which makes the "era of music" question all the more meaningless, because great music sounds like it could've come from any era, ignoring recording quality of course.
Yeah, exactly. There's a reason that only a few "older" bands/musicians are what are popular now too- shitty, awful music isn't remembered. I doubt that whatever the 60's version of Cat Chamber is is still around, and Cat Chamber is only known as a very small joke nowadays. It's kinda the same vein as "history is written by the victors" except... good music is remembered through good musicians? I dunno, but I hope you kinda get my point.

Long story short Mick became vindictive against Chris, and talked shit about him constantly while hitting the bottle. It was over a mentally unsound woman who dated Chris and, who Mick picked up after she treated Chris terribly. It ultimately culminated in Mick showing up uninvited to the Smiling Friends premiere shit faced and trying to intimidate Chris. He failed miserably, embarassing himself and after leaving he bragged calling it a "powermove" in texts to the aforementioned woman.
There are videos you can watch on it, but yeah Mick came across pathetic and petty, and pretty much ruined his connection with most members of sleepycabin by being a dik.
