It seems there was attraction between Shidai and Emory, at least on Shidai's part? Going by the lyrics and the facial expressions, it could be that Shidai was the one with the strongest romantic feelings, while Emory more liked having someone around who loved him, which made him feel like he could love himself. I'm getting this from the lyrics "that you love me, and I love me," as well as the kind of smug looking expression Emory had when it looked like Shidai was expressing affection towards him. Either way, it seems like Emory drove a lot of people away, and Shidai was the only one that was left. I think that Emory became a corrupted ruler over time, and eventually Shidai couldn't stand it anymore and ended up fighting Emory over it. Shidai defeated Emory and was going to spare him, but Emory stabbed himself (out of guilt maybe?). It didn't kill him though, and he woke up in the hospital, and Shidai (I'm pretty sure that was Shidai?) gave him a hug since he was scared for him. That's my interpretation of the video!

I saw it originally a few days ago, but it keeps showing up on my home page, and I.watch.it.every.time. I can't stop admiring the style, I love the proportions, and the way their heads and bodies are drawn. I love the perfect balance between angular and round shapes, it makes it so fun to observe and analyze. The backgrounds, even though they're simpler than the characters, are stylized in a way where they fit really great! The simple black, white, and red colors that are used throughout make it so simple but cool! And how the black and white bits of the characters are placed so they oppose each other in a way is just aaaaaa! The character designs are just amazing that there could be a whole analysis of them! The lyrics that are written throughout are just placed so well that they just feel so natural! I just absolutely love this video, thank you so much for sharing it with the world!!!
