I love bullys my second dog was a bully xxl she was so chilled one day i was going to school had a girlfriend at the time. One day my birth mom was getting really sick the state i was moveing to had that BSL law in place i walk in my moms house with my bully and my moms roommate looked at it and pulled a 45 with a 15 round clip and started to unlode the clip into my bully then i was teated like a drug dealer i had the cops with their ar15 ready to shoot me. And im still liveing at the same bullshit town where people will run up on you and shoot your bully in frunt of you. I seen it happen last night and last month at a parade. Can you do videos on how to train them? Like steps to take and everything. My husband and I have different views on how to train and we are both first time dog owners. Please and thank you!
Do you have recommendations on how to TEACH them to learn the simple commands? I have two right now and they're the same age. I want to train them but don't know where to start.
Karrem Taplet if they do everything you say and they don’t have bad habits then you’re doing a good job. No dog is perfect but if your dog does have a bad habit I’m sure it’s something you can fix and correct

I've been using service dogs since 2004. Two rotties so far. The second had to be let out of her suffering the 2nd. Friends have ordered me an XL American Bully pup. We disabled folk who use service dogs don't get much time to grieve. I use a Halti head control device a regular collar and a leash on my dogs. The Halti clips to a regular collar. Think of it like a halter on a horse. If he pulls his nose gets pulled down. It hasn't let me down yet.
Great video! But my regular pit bull is CRAZY! Lol She gets so in the zone excited she goes “blind” and then knows to punish herself when she comes back down off her “high”. I need a dog whisperer. Lol But your tips are perfect for calm bullies.
I’ll be getting my puppy here next month. I’ve been watching all your videos and listening to your podcast. I swear i didn’t do this much research when i was gonna be a dad. I just winged that shit.
I have done my research and I am very attracted to the English Staffordshire Terrier. They're smaller than their American Bully cousin, and they're also known for an innate friendly and docile temperament. I think that your instructions will work very well should I get a puppy or an older dog. I'll definitely be adopting so I might not come across a Staffordshire too soon. But when I do, this video has been very instructional and will watch it again to take notes. Thanks Very Much!👍
I've got a staffy, just keep in mind some arent good with other dogs, great with their families tho and they bond super fast but just keep in mind when socializing. Our girl cant even be left unsupervised with her kennel mates who shes known her whole life since she was a puppy.
I only ever used a chest harness with my bully from 6 mnth old, he's 18 months old now and walks impeccably. It's all about the energy moving fom you through the leash to the dog. Calm leadership energy. Rest of the tips totally agree.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh my gosh!! Everything you mentioned is exactly what I am experiencing with my Bully. I've had him since a pup & he's almost 2 1/2yrs. Playing in the house I will stop. I do use the command words and he pretty much listens. But he's extremely active and gets excited all the flippin' time when he sees another dog. So, "come" does not work as I would like it. Any other tips on that? I have been looking to get a better harness for him. People have mention choke collars, but I think those are too extreme. What do you think of nose guards? Also with people asking to pet him, THANK YOU for that tip. Even the dog class I took never said that! As far as walking him on the sidewalk I'm so glad I never moved y position. It's funny how people misjudge pits and quickly move themselves far far away like my dog will viciously attack them or their pet. So I always kept my stance and made sure I try to teach my bully to be cool when passing. He is the most loveable, sweetest, playful, & hardheaded bully but I love him dearly. I have so much to learn. People have given me crazy tips and I have to filter through them to make sure to be correctly aggressive and not a mean dog owner. Some men out here tell you some crazy techniques. Anywho, those small tips will help me a lot! Thanks Marcus
my American Bully is 8 months old and 85 lb is it too late for me to correct him with the dog collar I've always had them on a body harness and he still pulls
It is NEVER too late to correct them with the appropriate leash. Those harnesses can do permanent damage to their muscles, but it also teaches them that it is okay to pull. A good "heel" with a Sprenger collar is magic and works on ALL ages.
The martingale collars worked great for puppy training. A quick tightening and then release. Also - a slip leash worked as well, but felt less secure (was afraid the dogs could back out of them).
My 7 week old American bully pup got a collar as a gift from my daughter it’s a snap collar not a corrective collar should I invest into one being that she is only 7 weeks right now? Or wait a few more weeks till she can fill one out better?
I learned the hard way about the collar. But as soon as I switched to the harness it was night and day, he responded so well to it. Luckily have never needed a corrective collar.
I'm 56 years old, I live on my own and I suffer from severe anxiety. I been looking for the best dog, German Shepherd always been my preference because I had one before. I lived in one bedroom big apartment, plenty of space for a dog. I fell in love with the American bulldog and I been doing tons research because I have 5 grandchildren. My dog will be send to behavior training, I'm looking for a reputable dog company. Jose can you mentioned which places you can recommend that are safe to buy an American bulldog. My previous dog was professionally train but was stolen 20 years ago. By the way I'm 56 but I'm a personal fitness trainer so I'm strong.
How do you train your dog like that though, I'm having a lot of issues training my pocket pitty. He knows how to sit, lay down, give paw and speak. But when I take him places he jumps all over people it we let him off the leash he takes off and we can't get him to come back to us.
Tbh my pits are and have always been well trained without a lot i see in this video. I let them play in the house, they are like kids. But they know when someone comes over to mellow out and they dont bark when people come to the door and they are great with kids. I can walk them off leash in town or hiking and they stay to heel and dont run up to people, they look at me for an ok to approach. Generally these are decent tips for someone inexperienced i guess. Or someone whos going to show. Whats most important is your dog being submissive to you. It creates instinctual obedience and chain of command and elevates anxiety when they know they arent responsible for anything until youve commanded it. My two cents anyway. Overall great video for newbies 🤙🏾
Thank you This has got to be the most direct and informative instruction video I’ve seen yet. Will Certainly subscribed and listen to your other words of advice. I’ve just gotten an 8wo AmStaff x Johnson Bulldog.
Good video. The part about the dog going to the 🚪 is what I needed to hear. My Bully is good but I have a 4 year old Shih Tzu whom is very bad at that but my bully WILL NOT learn that.
I just got an 8 week old XLAmerican bully who was the smallest one in the pack I can see his ribs what can I do as a first time bully parent to make him healthier also what is the best to train him
I agree with almost everything he says, some tho is absolutely preference. My 2 month old pup already learned Sit, Stay, Down, Paw and Come. Sit should be a vocal command in case Im not right next to him to touch him. Also, playing inside the house. Pups especially will play and need to, you may have work or meetings to attend and cant be there. He needs to know there is more to do than wait for me. Dogs especially pups will get anxious when left alone. Ensure they have a calm playtime inside to set the difference, simple rope toys and rubber balls do the best for me. It keeps them calm if you pet them while they chew on the toy, have a vocal command for when they start to nibble something they shouldnt chew. Use the same command for any indoor or outdoor behavior you want to change.
i think the best correction collar and leash wich can be used on all age dogs is Caesar mulan (probably not hos you spell his last name) its a all in one unit and the collar threads the leash through it so it always stays in the correct position. all the others slid down the dogs neck instead of staying up just behind the jaw line where its supposed to be.
Hey Marcus, looking at buying either a classic or or pocket. Which would you say drools the least? I know it’s not a big deal but would prefer less drool as they will be indoors with me most of the time.
I need advice on whether or not the pocket (or exotic) American bully needs to be a certain age to be walked or exercised more or less for proper bone development. I.e. half a mile after they are 4 months old, 1 mile and a half after 1 1/2 years of age etc. I am not sure if they have to be almost 2 years old to be walked more than a mile, like an extensive 8 mile hike with various stops. I know Pressa Canarios can have their bones damaged for life or affected if you exercise them too much before they are 2 years old. You have to be gradually exercise depending on their age as their bones grow. Couldn't find any advice on this topic For this breed. My dog is very different from yours. Very short and wide. Hopefully you can help. Info on my dog : My pup is a year old and I got him at 11 months from someone that did not have time to walk him very often. I try to walk him half a mile a day and he gets tuckered out by the time we get home. IDK if that is too much for a 1 year old pup. Also, how to get him to stand so that both feet are apart rather than almost touching? He has toe out, or maybe "looks like he does" because he stands with his paws directly under his head. Not sure if that can be corrected. Thanks for the great videos!
Do you train Bully’s? They just recently gave me a 1.5 yr old American Bully and I’m afraid he’s going to bite my other dogs. So I have all my dogs tied up separately
Imm so glad I found you. I just purchased a 6 week old bully. And I'm a bit lost. I currently owned a Chihuahua super smart I did a great job with him but the was 7 Yeats ago. My bully is suchhhh a baby😩😩😩
I wish I watched this before I brought my bully lol. Excellent video man! I wish i had known about the making the dog sit before a person comes up to them. People think I'm a huge asshole because Im strict on my dog inside the house.
Thanks for your thoughts on this, I also share your commands (but in Swedish) Corrective collars with hooks are illegal in my country but normal chain collars works just fine, I think. I am committed to another breed- the great dane- however your video applies for these kinds of dogs too. 👍🏻🙏🏻
As soon as I heard the first tip about the correct/incorrect collar for training, I knew the other four tips weren't going to be inaccurate/credible. You can use any collar to train any dog (regardless of the 'stubborn' breed). A standard training collar (chain) with loops on both ends can be used (not the one with reverse prongs), but it's not the tightening of the collar that signifies the correction, it's the sound it makes when you give it a tug (again, not to tighten around the neck)...some people use clicker-training which provides the same audible correction or reward signal. Understanding your dog and its behavior, food drive, dominance/passivity, etc., is the key to successful training.
We are about to get a Bully for my son who is autistic and we want to be prepared I’m confused still on the collar to purchase? How do you correct them? I keep hearing you say “I correct them” but how do you do it?
New sub here :) i had fun listening to you. I have had so many dogs before but i am having a bit of difficulty because i just adopted two am bulls. I got them at nine months and i am having a hard time stopping their fights. Unlike other dogs, these two keeps going back for revenge. Am gonna watch your other vids. Do you have a video on the stay, wait and drop? Is it still possible to teach them this? They are turning one year this feb. One already knows his name, the other still doesnt. They both were kept without names so i am also finding it hard to call or correct them. The one who doesnt know his name does wonderfully in walks though
@@TheeBullCo i just love them both so much, theyre such sweethearts. Im a first time american bully owner. I just adopted them. I have been with dogs all my life and im 22 now so yeah i have been through loads. I expected it to be hard but i guess i was super overwhelmed as these two just dont get along. And when they fight, they are endless because they seek revenge. Im still figuring out their trigger. Theyre just so sweet and it is sad that these siblings wont just get along much
I would NEVER trust that another dog owner has control of their dog. I made that mistake with someone walking past me with a German shepherd and he could NOT control his dog and it lunged at me and my dog and tried to attack us twice. Not a good idea.
Planning to get a American pit bull terrier. 2-3 months old. It’s honestly my first dog. Although I have experience with handling dogs specifically a pitboxer mix. Any advice for me.??
This isn't a good first dog in my personal opinion. This breed is better for more experienced owners. A lot of the top breeders during the screening process won't work with people who don't have experience with the breed. And it has nothing to do with you as a dog owner. It's just these are very powerful intelligent dogs and if the dog is in control in his head over you that is when bad things can happen. Either way good luck.
I’m realizing how much I dropped the ball with my Frenchie. Now it feels like it too late. But I’m going to try. I want another dog. I wonder if I can re-train while training my new dog.
Could you do a video on training a 2 or 3 year old adopted Bully? Also, would my son's 4 year old pit who is well trained be a good example for a newly adopted dog?
Thank you for this video. I'm planning on getting a bully next year so I'm doing my research on them. I will be watching more of your videos and I subscribe to your channel also.
Any dog can be trained. No dog needs a passive master. Look y’all, all it takes is an owner that is responsible and pack leader. Don’t abuse your pet but be very much the boss. It is very important to teach your pet who is welcome and who is not. I’ve always heard that the dog picks the owner but not so much. Sometimes people choose dogs and then you have a pet/owner relationship that isn’t healthy. Owners should choose pets that they are able to control. Some people can’t control certain pets. Make sure you’re the rite master for your dog
Great information and Tips, i have had alot of pitbull breeds Staffordshire Terrier AbT and Apbt my current sweetheart is Apbt/B lab (she Looks like a black pitbull, and of course a white patch on the chest) i love her so much shes my pride and joy in my life, after my daughter, my dog is my #1
I disagree with your comment about house manners. Only slightly though. I think it’s important to let the dog enjoy it’s time in the house just as we enjoy ours, if they want to walk all over and chew on toys and everything, that’s fine, but they need to know when to stop and I train them to stop when told. And, I definitely don’t mind if my dogs bark and come to the door. They’re a pet, but I do also have them as a deterrent to intruders. If I do my job and train them, they will listen when i tell them things are okay and they should calm down. Other than that, you’re spot on man. When you first get a dog it’s very easy to go on a cycle of under feeding, then over feeding. Over and over. And I learned the hard way not to buy a harness haha.
These tips aren’t for bully owners, it’s for every dog owner. Great tips for everyone to follow. Thanks.

My boy's are pit mastiffs and they are about 80 lbs or so it's been a while since I weighed them
It is NEVER too late to correct them with the appropriate leash.
Keep the training videos coming I’m watching and learning
thank you so much.
Good job man - I dont own a bully but have always wanted one...Thanks for sharing this info!
how do you actually teach the dog to drop or stay like it doesnt understand what should i do to make the dog understand me ?
Overall great video for newbies 🤙🏾
nice video nice guy nice channel love it but how did you train your dog for stay and for wait what is the difference in training
"Can my dog meet your dog?"
"Absolutely, go ahead and turn your dog around"🤣.....sounds kinda pervy, but it's a very true way for dogs to meet
What do you feed your dog s thanks Troy
Thank you This has got to be the most direct and informative instruction video I’ve seen yet. Will Certainly subscribed and listen to your other words of advice. I’ve just gotten an 8wo AmStaff x Johnson Bulldog.
Trent H61 thank you very much!
2:47 u should’ve put up pics of examples
Jay Say class will not determine which drools less. But overall bullies aren’t big droolers.
Thee BullCo that’s good to know. Thanks mate
Hi could you tell me what food do you feed your dogs and supplements
Sir i have a 7 months old Pocket Classic American Bully. She loves to jump to me and bite me. How can i train her to stop bitting? Thanks
Maria ct omg morning mine is about the same age and he cries all the time. I have an amstaff and he irks her too lol
Have you done any of the tips he mentioned? Do they work?
What can i do for my puppy for food for gaining please share a diet plan my puppy is 2 months old but its weak from leg side
I have two 8 week old puppies what do you to start training do we use leash.
I wish I watched this before I brought my bully lol. Excellent video man! I wish i had known about the making the dog sit before a person comes up to them. People think I'm a huge asshole because Im strict on my dog inside the house.
Kwezzy haha Bet they would think your a sucky owner id your dogs were fucking crazy in the house. Lol its a give and take haha
exactly! my dog's a nut when she sees people and especially in the house so I have to been stern with her.
Sir i have American bully Puppy its so aggressive so how can i cool down him give me some suggestions
Understanding your dog and its behavior, food drive, dominance/passivity, etc., is the key to successful training.
rockgin thanks for you two cents. Lol
We are about to get a Bully for my son who is autistic and we want to be prepared I’m confused still on the collar to purchase? How do you correct them? I keep hearing you say “I correct them” but how do you do it?
Like with training is it better to train them on multiple things or 1 thing at a time or does that depend on the dog ?
So how do you train to recall
Thanks for the tip. Just got a 8 week old Bully.

Elisha Lua yes, watch growing up Ironman I y'all you step by step.
@@TheeBullCo will get to it right away sir. Thank you soooo much you have no idea how much hope this gives
Theyre just so sweet and it is sad that these siblings wont just get along much
Very informative video - can wait til my bully can come home in 3 weeks
I wanna see pics of your bully baby
Update on your bully??
Buying one in the first place?
Solid content Marcus! Appreciate the valuable information. Keep it going.
Thanks! Great 👍🏽 information
I would NEVER trust that another dog owner has control of their dog. I made that mistake with someone walking past me with a German shepherd and he could NOT control his dog and it lunged at me and my dog and tried to attack us twice. Not a good idea.
My American bully pup's weight fluctuates throughout the day based on how much water he is drinking, my Amstaff's ribs are damn cage and working on it
Same, other dog owners are assholes, we wear our orange Bandana to show we are cagey with other dogs, they don't care.
First video watching. Subscribed and pressed the bell. YOU know what you talking about sir!
Anytips on helping them with vehicle anxiety?
I’m realizing how much I dropped the ball with my Frenchie. Now it feels like it too late. But I’m going to try. I want another dog. I wonder if I can re-train while training my new dog.
Hello Miss black and beautiful
Its never too late ,use high value meat treats and be amazed..
Can you recommend a corrective collar?
go to any pet store and they'll have them
@@marcos-4469 that's the problem. There's many out there. Want to narrow it down.
How much u ask for your puppy
Could you do a video on training a 2 or 3 year old adopted Bully? Also, would my son's 4 year old pit who is well trained be a good example for a newly adopted dog?
Thank you for this video. I'm planning on getting a bully next year so I'm doing my research on them. I will be watching more of your videos and I subscribe to your channel also.
thank you so much.
Is an xl american bully x alapaha blue blood bulldog a good mix of breed to have?
Don’t have bullie but will be purchasing one soon great video thanks for the advice 👍🏾
Why don’t you teach the word sit I know you said cause you show but just curious of why sit will affect the show biz
jayspade1977 because you never want your dog to sit inside the show ring. It isn’t a good look.
This a good video i want a american bully what type of corrective collar should i get
Looked up Instagram couldn’t find it can you link it love the channel
Matthew Todd it’s @theebullco now
Where can I buy the collard
Good advice. How do you teach them the basic commands?
Positive reinforcement, treats, repetition and patience
Great video ! Love the psychological aspect that your aware of and go by brotha man
Great information and Tips, i have had alot of pitbull breeds Staffordshire Terrier AbT and Apbt my current sweetheart is Apbt/B lab (she Looks like a black pitbull, and of course a white patch on the chest) i love her so much shes my pride and joy in my life, after my daughter, my dog is my #1
I disagree with your comment about house manners.
