  • In this video I discuss the main points you need to know to get your excited dog to calmly walk on the leash next to you! The walk starts before you ever get on the road.

    Good video man, I been trying some of your techniques with my bully and he is getting a lot better, will be trying this on our morning walks because he still gets super excited sniffing everything going after sticks and when he's done using the bathroom he tries to run back to the house

    I am starting to realize that a human-dog relation is more like a boss-employee relation. You want your employee to work happily for your and give you 100%. Dogs were bred to work. If you can't be a good boss, you will end up with a bad employee/dog. The problem is, you are stuck with a bad employee and your company will go bankrupt. LOL

    I am so grateful for your videos!! I wish you were closer! I’m on the east coast NY and a co owner of an American Bully, Zeus. My daughter adopted him at approximately 1&1/2 yrs old. We’ve had him for about 6 months. I’ve gained knowledge and implemented some of the things you have shown and slowly but surely they are working. But walking him is a major problem. His former owner didn’t walk him, he was always a back yard bathroom dog. Now he loves walking as do I but I have such a hard time; his excitement is too much and he is so strong...How do I start training him to walk at my heel. He is not interested is treats when we are walking. He an amazing dog but I need to get him trained especially walking!

      Dana Anthony for walking your dog, he was saying that you want to make sure your dog is calm before you take him on a walk. If he starts having high energy, put the leash down and wait for them to calm down. If they start having high energy again after you pick it back up then do it again. It’s a process but your bully should get out eventually, Patience and consistency

    Hello. I'm sorry, but I think I've missed something. I watched the video twice and missed the clips of you showing us how the pup was pulling, excited, and all the other things. I appreciate you sharing about the walk, but all we see as you, and sometimes telling the pup to keep up. But he wasn't pull, overly excited, etc... so that we can see how you dealt with it as indicated in your post. I just really need help with this.

  • @rasychea
    @rasychea 5 ปีที่แล้ว +17

    Hey, I must of missed it. Did you explain how to train him to walk behind or at your heel ? What about sniffing? My bully is 4 months now and on our walks he’s always sniffing and tracking. On our way back he’s pulling, what tips can you give to correct that ?

    • @davidromancelly
      @davidromancelly 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Rasy Chea when he sniffs you have to correct him, kinda tug his leash (not hard to where it hurts him!) in your direction) and tell him to come. Be consistent with that.

    • @davidromancelly
      @davidromancelly 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      If he starts pulling that means he’s getting to excited, you need to stop where you are and correct him until he relaxes

    • @itsragz2847
      @itsragz2847 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct down and to the side with the leash don’t pull back

    Just saying it would be good to see an example with a train dog and also an untrained dog. It may help people have a better understanding when they have an untrained dog.

    Looks like you do really well with your dogs but when you're giving an example how to calm your dog after a walk can you use a dog that is not trained. So we can see how you deal with a dog that is not trained and coming it's energy. Please

    You talking about having the dog us the restroom one time and making sure they are not sniffing everything. Would it be bad if I let my puppy roam around in the yard to us the restroom off a leash?

    • @davidromancelly
      @davidromancelly 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Marionte Posey you can put him in your back yard if you have one and let him use the restroom there, then take him out for a walk

    Listen bro how you wanna tell people how to train or walk a dog when your human habits are out of hand be respectful and take your glasses off when your talking with people or the camara learn your manners 1st eye to eye give the people respect. Not trying to beef it up but its the proper way to talk to people.
