Lucius might have summoned Astaroth but he didn't respond knowing Lucius' evil intentions. We know that the nature of Julius' time magic is to steal time from his target which then he revised into "can steal someone's future". What if Astaroth's can steal someone's past, present and future like literally stealing someone's existence and make it his own? This might be how he got outside the underworld. This is similar but quite different from how Lucifero can manifest in the human world using a lower devil. After getting outside, Astaroth might have met Licita. He then met Julius (not accidentally tho), the only human who has ever used time magic (this means they're strongly connected). He then forged a contract with him knowing that he had no evil intentions. This is also another way for Astaroth to always be in watch with Asta. However, Lucius came into place. Since he was once rejected by Astaroth, the only way to have his power is to possess the person Astaroth is in contract with, which is Julius. Using his soul magic, he then hid his existence inside Julius. The fact that he's got a hold of Julius' soul also means he can access Astaroth's power (if the contract is carved into their souls). He then used Astaroth's time magic to steal Julius' past including all his knowledge during those times (if necessary) cuz it might be a hindrance for his plans. Knowing the future, Astaroth probably knew already that Julius is just a personality created by Lucius acting to get his approval but he also already foresaw the distant future if he will agree to help Julius/Lucius, which is most likely will be in his favor or in his wanted outcome. After forming a contract with the created personality (Julius), Lucius might have made sure that he can easily switch to his real personality. With contract of course, Julius should have the power of time as well so he might have really thought he's innocent. His grimoire became coverless for multiple purposes. 1st is to hide its origin which is spade kingdom. 2nd is to make Julius assume that it resembles time itself. And 3rd is to deceive everyone. Lucius' magic should have something to do with soul (soul magic). It's not one grimoire; it's two grimoires. Databooks confirmed that Julius' coverless grimoire is a Clover Kingdom grimoire, so it can't be the same grimoire as Lucius' double-spade grimoire. Plus, we know Julius has had that grimoire since he was 15, as he became a member of the Grey Deer at age 15, and he's currently 42, so he probably had that grimoire while Lucius was still in the Spade Kingdom.
@@matthewmuir8884 we argued about this thing in another channel and as I've said there, Julius' coverless grimoire was seen "changing its appearance" it was seen "manifesting" a cover which is then held by Lucius...what do you call that? It's one grimoire but in two different forms.. there has been a lot of time manipulation foreshadowed in the whole series since episode one of the anime..who knows that Lucius or Astaroth was responsible of that as well? There are many time manipulation in this series, they're either caused by Lucius or Astaroth himself..For instance, Licita was seen carrying Asta to the church but for some reason, the demon skull wasn't there yet, the church doesn't look crappy and the tree beside the church still has its leaves but when the priest came out, the demon skull was present, the church became look crappy and the tree lost its leaves like come on there's no way that's gonna happen in just a few hours What I'm saying is that after creating another personality with his magic, Lucius might have manipulated his own time and therefore created a "parallel existence" and sent him to the recent past as 15 yrs old Julius Novachrono the time magic user..now parallel existence is a bit different from a clone... parallel existence is the existence of one person in different times and in different places at the same time.. Julius was sent to the past and I believe the calculated time coincides the time in the present after he grows old and reveal himself as Lucius so that the parallel existence sent to the past will be the parallel existence seen in the present That databooks might have showed us that info to deceive us all, after all there's no way a clover grimoire can manifest a cover with a spade sign

I'm hoping that the next stage in Asta and Yuno's training is the both of them learning from the elves: Yuno learning Ultimate Magic (he has the elf soul inside him so he doesn't need runes to learn it), and Asta learning more about the abilities of Licht's swords.
3:50 Wait; I could've sworn that Morgen's magic attribute was never outright stated. I mean, Morgen having light magic kind-of contradicts Yami's statement to Patry that he "doesn't know anyone who can use light magic".
In chapter 286 Nacht’s states that his brother’s personality was just like his magic attribute and that he was “light”. The Yami statement could mean Yami doesn’t know anyone alive who can use light magic or Tabata didn’t plan for Morgen that early in the story at that time
Also I wonder when Yuno's mom mentioned there is a lot she must tell him come one of those things be related to the Ancient Demons they had sealed under their country?
What if? he is a devil himself and had tresspassed the devil world forcefully which caused number of changes on his body and even his memories but when he was connected with the tree some of his power awakened .
Great theory, but I think it only works if yami was the protagonist lol... I think he'll end up getting taken over by lucifugus, nacht will eventually have to be the one to fight him... Emotions blaring and all, fans will dig that. But who knows, it's all in tabata's hands
That's possible, though I think it would be neat if Lucius _can't_ kill Yami or William because of Julius fighting from within or something like that. I think it would be neat if Lucius' biggest weakness is _Julius._
@@kaizatengoku3893 You don't think William...? Did you accidentally click "reply" before finishing the sentence? Could you please clarify what you meant?
I was wondering to myself when they first showed his heart glad to see somebody make a theory about him becoming a dark magic devil I feel like the stronger he gets the more devil like he will become
0:22 Aren't they already absurdly strong enough? It would be overkill if the characters get even more powerful than they are now. That especially goes for Asta, Noelle and Yuno. I think a better way for these people to stand a chance against the other devils is if the other magic knights step up their game. It's so unbelievably stupid that the main cast have gotten so powerful that the other squads are practically fodder. Like wtf have the others been doing in the 6 month time skip while the main cast was getting all these power ups, twiddling their thumbs? The magic knights in total most likely consist of about 100 members, so there's bound to be more helpful people with extraordinary talents that aren't in the Black Bulls or Golden Dawn. Having a handful of overpowered people is cool and all, but an entire army of overpowered mages is significantly better when dealing with supreme rank devils.
It would make more sense if lucifugas magic type is called abyss magic as it has a stronger association with the underworld and can be seen as the origin of darkness
Can Yami learn runes? Yami has commoner-level mana; not high enough for the instant runes of the Heart Kingdom's mana method, but not low enough for the lingering runes that Zora and Magna use. Also, I don't think he can learn True Dark Magic; True Magic can only be achieved with the four main elements (fire, water, earth, wind) and their derivatives (ice, lightning, mist, smoke, etc.)
@@matthewmuir8884 yami now has way higher mana now so I definitely feel he could use runes now and idk maybe he could bc lichit had um and he had sword magic which I don't think is a basic element 🤔
@@ginojace212 Licht couldn't use runes. Runes were developed after the time of the elves; it's the reason that several of them were caught off-guard by Zora's trap spells. If you're talking about True Magic; Licht couldn't use True Magic; he used _Ultimate_ Magic. Ultimate Magic is the elven technique where the person unleashes their most powerful spell, while True Magic is a Heart Kingdom technique where the person uses mana method to unleash the actual element (example: Gaja unleashing a real lightning bolt).
@@ginojace212 It might be possible for him to learn ultimate magic; he'd have to learn mana method first since he isn't loved-by-mana (that's a uniquely elven thing). With the increased mana from the heart as well as mana zone, he might be able to learn mana method. True Magic, however, is probably not possible for him. Nero didn't learn it, nor did Charmy or Rill; only Luck and Charlotte learned it.
Wow now that you’ve mentioned it Yami definitely hasn’t used any creation spells, Remember early translations where it was “make” or something like that in place of creation
What if Asta is a human manifestation of astaroth? Another theory is Asta could possibly be Astaroth's son because Astaroth had escaped hell many years ago b4 Asta was born. Hmmm we'll see how this story turns out and it seems it is going to be good 👍
I don't think either of those would work. The point of Asta is that he's a complete nobody in terms of both social structure and conventional power level. Making Asta related to Astaroth would undermine that.
@@matthewmuir8884 It wouldn't undermine Asta. He was an orphan in a small town with no mana. Revealing that his family heritage is connected to Astaroth wouldn't change the fact that Asta was a low social ranking human who worked hard to unlock his own strength. It was through Asta's hard work and determination that he earned the right to use liebe's Anti-magic, not because he was simply related to a powerful being...... Asta had to work for it and didn't inherit anything compared to Yuno the prince of the spade kingdom who was born blessed by Mana.
@@af3785 True. At this point, I'm just hoping that we'll actually get to see the conversation between Patry and William that they said they were going to have. Two friends that shared a body finally got to meet face-to-face for the first time and William's like, "There's so much I want to say to you, but I need to see Julius' corpse first" and then we never actually saw the conversation.
I wonder how everyone else magic will evolve Ex Noelle's Valkyrie Dress will she keep Saint Stage in some way? Plus J-Cloud do you think we could get at least one more character each with Ex Dark Magic, World Tree Magic, Light Magic, Briar Magic, Sword Magic, Shadow Magic etc...?
Another mage with sword magic would be really cool. We only got to see three spells out of it from Licht (origin flash, origin flash barrage, and Ultimate Sword Magic: Demon Dweller Sword: Conquering Eon), and all three of them were just flying slashes of mana, so it would be really cool to see more of what sword magic can do. If I were writing it, I'd have various sword magic spells based on actual HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) techniques. For example, there's a famous longsword technique called Mordhau where the wielder grabs the sword by the blade with both hands and strikes with the guard or pommel as an anti-armour strike. Imagine something like that as a spell: the character makes a mana sword, grips it by the blade, puts most of the mana into the guard and then strikes with the guard.
@@xLotusAngel626x Thanks. I doubt that Tabata will introduce too many new characters, since the next arc will be the last, but we could see sword magic in a side-story or something like that. One thing I've long thought would make for a great side-story would be a story focused on the person who joined the Crimson Lion Kings at the same entrance exam that Asta and Yuno took. Think about it: they probably worked hard to get strong enough to become a magic knight, and they get selected by the Crimson Lion Kings... only for it to be the year the captain almost dies, the squad comes 5th in the rankings for the first time ever, and everyone in the squad either becomes elf-possessed or gets beaten up by the elf-possessed vice-captain; there has to be an interesting story there.
I'm hoping Mars: it would parallel Elf-Fana being the previous host of Salamander and it would give Mars and the Diamond Kingdom some much-needed relevance in the final arc. But I'm not sure if he can obtain it; mineral magic is a derivative of earth magic, but it isn't earth magic; it would be like a smoke mage obtaining Sylph.
Probably a royal from the Diamond Kingdom. It was mentioned that their king is currently sick, so if that King has a child, he/she probably owns it. Or a Dwarf.
Most likely a new character. Elf Fana was introduced with the Fire Spirit and Lolopechika was introduced with the Water Spirit so it's a strong possibility. Besides, the partner of the Earth Spirit doesn't have to be an existing character.
So here’s the thing. We clearly saw Lucius (the 4th zogradis) talking to his siblings, while he was an adult. So that means that there was a time when he was himself, Lucius. Considering his addiction for supreme ranking devils, and the completion of his master plan, he clearly needed to reach all three supreme devils. So, he chose Belzeebub for Zenon, Lucifero for Dante, and probably the most powerful of the three Astoroth for himself. The only problem was that Astoroth was nowhere to be found. So, he couldn’t make a bond with him. It turns out that Astoroth had somehow managed to reach the humans’ world and made a bond with a human, Julius. And Lucius then tracked him down and took over his body with his soul magic.
@@matthewmuir8884 at least better the captains expect yami cus she was giving lucifero a lot of problem i know Asta was the problem him but Mereoleona was the real deal
Yami has to return to his homeland The Land of the Rising Sun. Since Yami's homeland does mostly represent Japan in Black Clover, Yami will have to convince his Homeland's most powerful Demon Slayer clan to help him to master and to control his new devil powers. Demon Slayers are warriors who specialized in hunting and the slaying of Demons. I suspect that there are two basic types of demons in The Land of the Rising Sun. The first type is known as the While Demons. The White Demons are the good demons. The second type is the Black Demons. The Black Demons are a lot like Devils. Like Devils, there is ranking system. Low Rank demons are very close to almost being animals. They are like the Low Rank devils. Low rank demons are the most common. The Mid rank demons are more powerful than mid rank devils. Some come very close to having powers of the typical High Rank Devils. The High rank Demons seem to have the same powers as the High-Ranking Devils. The power level of some High rank demons is in par with the Gods and Goddesses.
Hey I know I'm late but I don't understand why people keep thinking xenon had his devil's heart he just says give me a devil heart if you say he got his heart then you're saying his devil is dead
They probably don't mean that it's literally Beelzebub's heart; just that Zenon got it as the result of the deal with Beelzebub. The heart is like Asta's arm.

There are many time manipulation in this series, they're either caused by Lucius or Astaroth himself..For instance, Licita was seen carrying Asta to the church but for some reason, the demon skull wasn't there yet, the church doesn't look crappy and the tree beside the church still has its leaves but when the priest came out, the demon skull was present, the church became look crappy and the tree lost its leaves like come on there's no way that's gonna happen in just a few hours
What I'm saying is that after creating another personality with his magic, Lucius might have manipulated his own time and therefore created a "parallel existence" and sent him to the recent past as 15 yrs old Julius Novachrono the time magic user..now parallel existence is a bit different from a clone... parallel existence is the existence of one person in different times and in different places at the same time.. Julius was sent to the past and I believe the calculated time coincides the time in the present after he grows old and reveal himself as Lucius so that the parallel existence sent to the past will be the parallel existence seen in the present
That databooks might have showed us that info to deceive us all, after all there's no way a clover grimoire can manifest a cover with a spade sign
Yami needs a transformation
Its a sound theory. I can easily see Yami becoming a yokai of some sort.
The Power Up our favorite characters will achieve in the future when Black Clover is back from it’s break will be shocking, but not more astonishing then the potential rise on Subs count if you Subscribe. 🤣🤣
😂😂😂 loving these puns
@@JCloudsAnimeTalk 🤣
The Yami statement could mean Yami doesn’t know anyone alive who can use light magic or Tabata didn’t plan for Morgen that early in the story at that time
@@JCloudsAnimeTalk I see. That makes sense. Kind-of strange that a non-royal human has light magic, but I suppose it is possible.

I love your channel Jonathan hahahah
Thank you!
you did Yami dirty on that thumbnail😄
😂
Great theory, but I think it only works if yami was the protagonist lol...
I think he'll end up getting taken over by lucifugus, nacht will eventually have to be the one to fight him... Emotions blaring and all, fans will dig that. But who knows, it's all in tabata's hands
I feel like yami and william will have transformations in the final arc, but Lucius will kill one or both of them.
That's possible, though I think it would be neat if Lucius _can't_ kill Yami or William because of Julius fighting from within or something like that. I think it would be neat if Lucius' biggest weakness is _Julius._
@@matthewmuir8884 i dont think william
@@kaizatengoku3893 You don't think William...? Did you accidentally click "reply" before finishing the sentence? Could you please clarify what you meant?
I was wondering to myself when they first showed his heart glad to see somebody make a theory about him becoming a dark magic devil I feel like the stronger he gets the more devil like he will become
Black clover‘s author Yuki Tabata has got me feenin’ for this arc like a WHOLE basehead😵💫😵😵💫😵🤦🏾♂️
Asta= ronin, yami = samurai, night = ninja
yami is that guy I keep trying to tell people he got that swag about him that gojo does he's gonna show everyone he's the mc
Having a handful of overpowered people is cool and all, but an entire army of overpowered mages is significantly better when dealing with supreme rank devils.
absoluetly agree
It would make more sense if lucifugas magic type is called abyss magic as it has a stronger association with the underworld and can be seen as the origin of darkness
good video i agree with it and i think Yami definitely needs runes and true dark magic then he needs ultimate dark magic on top and a devil boost
@@matthewmuir8884 alright than I agree but I still feel yami could get um tho
@@ginojace212 It might be possible for him to learn ultimate magic; he'd have to learn mana method first since he isn't loved-by-mana (that's a uniquely elven thing). With the increased mana from the heart as well as mana zone, he might be able to learn mana method. True Magic, however, is probably not possible for him. Nero didn't learn it, nor did Charmy or Rill; only Luck and Charlotte learned it.
Wow now that you’ve mentioned it Yami definitely hasn’t used any creation spells,
Remember early translations where it was “make” or something like that in place of creation
He probably doesn't use creation spells because of dark magic's incredibly slow casting time.
Im curious if this one is definitely gonna go down cause yami really got amped by the tree of qliphoth
I think Natch is an actual traitor due to loss and grievance. All that has taken place has been going according to plan.
The black bulls are going to be overpowered even though they already are 😀
Right lol
I like your thumbnail
Thank you!
I just love your theory man. You really know your work 💯🤟🤟
I’m thinking a devil is going to take over Yami completely and the black bulls will be forced to kill off their own captain in a cruel twist
nice video
idk, I don't see yami being a devil host but I do see him gain devil magic without actually having a devil, i.e. mana zone dark magic: demonic eclipse
So lucifugus hiding in yami pack of smokes?
Maybe Yami uses the Devil's powers to end a supposed civil war from where he's from?

I wonder if William will get anything to even things out. I'm thinking that he probably won't, but it would be a nice surprise if he does.
Don't expect William to still get a spotlight nor to be able to fight on screen at this point, lol.
@@matthewmuir8884 I agree Sword Magic is probably Number 1 wanting to see another character use!
@@xLotusAngel626x Thanks. What did you think of my idea of having it incorporate actual techniques like mordhau?
@@matthewmuir8884 Sounds interesting and would be cool to see!!
Yessir
Yami becoming a type of demon bull>>>>
I’ve also realized that a lot of ppl are going to need power ups and still we haven’t seen the earth spirit so who do u think would get it
I'm hoping Mars: it would parallel Elf-Fana being the previous host of Salamander and it would give Mars and the Diamond Kingdom some much-needed relevance in the final arc.
@@antonrueda1044 Possibly, though Tabata can't really afford to introduce too many new characters as the next arc will be the last one.

Yes, Yami was like their brother like I mentioned in the video
@@JCloudsAnimeTalk ahhh i see ok
What if yami can't control his devil and ends up being the final boss 😭
When is the Animie coming out please
One question where is mereoleona i have not seen her in some chapters
Probably recovering like the other captains that got beat to a pulp, as they will all need to be healed the moment Rill's spell fades.

That's I wish it wasn't the final act when it comes back.
Yami is Asta’s father
🤨 so Yami is becoming a human born devil?
Yami is evolving into a Kame (god) tier Oni/Tengu 👹 of Sussano the God of Storms.
I really want characters to die but I gave up on that. At least make Julius a good villain.
But Julius is a hero; I don't want to see him as a villain. _Lucius,_ on the other hand, is someone I definitely hope is a good villain.
After all this it's gonna be Black Clover 2 , trust me
Anyone who know when ep 171 will out pls reply
We don't even know when the movie will release, let alone episode 171.
