- i absolutely love them, my exhaust guy mounted them, and then ...and i kid you not used a long shaft dremel tool to remove the lip from the inside....there is a hole in the battery compartment to route your wire...and even an empty connector to hook it up to...he said it was super easy...i still have my cats both primary and secondary.....now i want to delete my secondary cats :-)
get the turndowns...its makes it possible to drive with the cutouts open most of the time while avoiding firing onto the outside of the muffler, which makes the whole car resonate, and just freaking loud inside the car....turndowns makes it loud outside and liveable inside :-) - กีฬา

1970 GTO was the only car to have exhaust cutoffs stock from the factory. But they were vacuum operated. Option code W-73 VOE . Vacuum operated Exhaust.

my car with dual exhaust...ride in normal and the built in valves are closed and the car is neighborhood friendly, put it in sport and the valves are open for the first 4 gears, after that they close, cars sounds good and is louder......my cutouts bypasses the muffler (exhaust still go through primary and secondary cats) to my ears it doubles the volume at idle, and more under throttle. it does not become loud like a cat delete+straight pipe.

How much louder are the QTP’s compared to the stock npp in track mode?
Quite a bit, it's hard to tell as I don't have a DB meter, but quite loud....not as loud as straight pipes though....has a nice sound, I barely close the cutouts, unless arriving home late at night....cold start the car and a nice braaaaat reverberates through the neighborhood

i have a LS swappped 85 cutlass that sounded like complete trash with my current LOUD AS HELL muffler just dumping underneath the car, I MEAN TOTAL INDIAN RESERVE GARBAGE!
BUT all it took was 3 feet of pipe extension out the side exit before the back tire and it was an AMAZING DIFFERENCE, absolutely amazing.
NOW the 5.3LS sounds like a 454 CHEVY BIG BLOCK.
I CONCLUDE any dumping underneath of exhaust CUTOUTS is ALSO gonna be atrociously loud and sound like a poor persons car w/o any muffler or exhaust system.
SO 2 chunks of pipe exiting the exhaust out from underneath to the sides sounds better INSIDE the cab as well as outside!

the camaro has 4 cats (2 active with sensors and two passive no sensor) the cutout are placed just before the muffler so after all the cats, makes good sound but no extra power , well i havent dyno'ed it so there could even be a loss of torque and hp when they are open

That's pointless the exhaust can still go out through the regular exhaust still if your gonna do that you'll have to completely cut off the flow to regular exhaust also

You can literally hear the difference, it’s like having a crack or hole in your exhaust . Or like a broken flex pipe . Much less constrictive considering it no longer has to go through the muffler

To be fair you could have just got yourself a real custom exhaust. Essentially straight piping your car isn't anything new, except now its controlled with a button.
never claimed it was new.....it is relatively cheap, sounds great, its always powered so i can close the exhaust from before starting the car if im leaving early, and in general to be a good neighbor....lastly it does not mess with cats or their position(im in commiefornia), so i can still smog the car as long as they are closed off
