Time for random Pluto trivia: It's not entirely true that Pluto was *downgraded* from being a Planet, it's actually that "planet" wasn't a scientifically-defined term prior to Pluto's "downgrading"!
Or you could say, they altered the accepted definition as more space was seen.
Yeh there are 3 criteria that an object has to meat in order to be classified as a planet
1. It has to orbit a star
2. It needs sufficient mass to sustain hydrostatic equilibrium (its big enough for the gravity to make it round basically)
3. It has to have "cleared the neighbourhood" around its orbit
The last one means that there cant be any other objects in the same orbit around the star that are of a similar size to the object and arent orbiting around it (like our moon)
Because pluto is in the kuiper belt along with plenty of other suspiciously large object that definitely arent orbiting around pluto its not considered its own planet despite meeting the other 2 criteria

Encanto is weird because at the end the grandma self reflects for like 3 minutes and then just does a full 180 and realizes that she’s the problem, to anyone with actual shitty older family, it just rings so hollow.
The movie says “the grandma has trauma” and I’m just sitting here like that’s not an excuse to traumatize your family.
@@thequeenofcringe1585 I don’t think the movie was trying to excuse the grandmother because she herself was traumatized, her trauma wasn’t an excuse, and that’s why the grandmother character had to self-reflect. The thing is, that realistically, old people can be really stubborn, when older generations put pressure on their children to be a certain way or otherwise abuse them, it’s not because they haven’t considered that it might be unpleasant for their Children, it’s a thing where those older people from their perspective think their abuse of younger generations is justified.
So it’s not as simple as explaining your own case to just change someone’s mind because that other person has a whole other world view, and people don’t usually change unless they are open to it, and a lot of old people aren’t open to change.
It’s a magical Disney movie.

@@samkeiser9776 You could say this for Mulan, Cinderella, Tangled and Frozen 2's themes are quite literally colonialism. The thing is because of their medium, there are immediate caveats, the characters are all archetypes at the end of the day and to have satisfying arcs they have to get over things quickly, unrealistically. But since when has classical animated movies' goal been realism? The intro to Disney movies is quite literally "When you wish upon a star" and personally, I am quite aware that my elders won't change their mind and understand the impact they have on the younger generations but I sure WISH they would. Which is why Dos Oruguitas makes me sob every time. Disney is escapism. I would even go as far as to say the pursuit of realism is the main problem of the animation studio nowadays, the horrid remakes are all a testament to that.

Fun fact that I think makes Turning Red even better, in the bathroom scene two girls are shown to have insulin infusion sets on their arms. The technical supervisor of the film was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes as a child and wanted a realistic depiction of it. When asked about it she said “I think kids everywhere just really appreciated that and loved seeing that on the big screen”.

The reason Pluto is no longer considered a planet is because one of the criteria for planethood is that a planet must have cleared the space in its orbit. This is because the discovery of the Kuiper Belt led to the discovery of several objects similar in size to Pluto, to the point where classifying every single one as a planet would be a nightmare to remember. Being that Pluto's orbit intersects Neptune's, it did not meet this last criterion and was reclassified as a dwarf.
Therefore, it's Neptune's fault that Pluto isn't a planet and Neptune deserves to be F-tier.

Look, aside from Sword and Shield pre-DLC, and maybe X and Y for being forgettable, the main series Pokemon games are always bangers and most of the spin-offs aren't complete shit. the english alphabet tier list is one of the best i've seen this week, though i disagree with many letter placements. also the ssabcdef ranking system needs to change, it provides a bit too much bias for certain letters over certain other letters.

I'm in emotional shock over RT saying Fire Emblem is the same formula every game while proceeding to put Pokemon in S Tier.
To be fair Pokémon doesn't do the same formula every game. They add new features that nobody likes like Z-moves and whatever the thing in SwSh is called before abandoning them and never mentioning them again
@@pluto3194 The Z moves were the best of the three gimmick mechanics though. Megas were given to Pokemon that absolutely didn’t need them while making for mostly uglier designs. Meanwhile Z-Moves could be used for any Pokemon and could also enhance different status moves which allowed for greater strategic potential in Battles.

10:11 5am is actually really nice when you have college/work. Gives you some extra time in the morning to yourself before heading out. I usually got up at 6, but the odd times I did get up at 5 somehow it was actually pretty nice!
Though, the earlier I get up, the earlier I used to get drained at college. I get tired easily, no clue how I managed the afternoon classes at all, so that's something I need to think about.
