I’ve been using the BT-11 for the past six weeks and love it. Having the camera on the rear view mirror is awesome. It’s where your used to looking to see what’s behind you. Awesome camera. I would highly recommend it.
I like the form factor of the BT11, and would connect it to a camera on the back of my 5th wheel. But what about using your rear view mirror when unhooked? (I would not install more cameras as my truck has backup cams). It seems you would lose the "normal" rearview mirror function in this scenario? But then if I disconnect to remove then I lose the dashcam feature? Do I have that right? Thanks Ray, always appreciate how thorough you are in your reviews.
Personally, I'm using the BT12. I use its dashcam as a rearview bed monitor in the truck. With my large Ram tow mirrors, I find I don't need the side cameras offered by the BT7, and I like the wide display better on the BT12 since it fits my Ram mirror better, staying out of the way more compared to the more square BT7 display.
Great Review, as always honest! I'm trying to choose between the BT11 and BT12 and can't decide. How much video do they store before its written over? It seemed like there is a bit of extra wiring to hide behind the mirror on the BT11. Its got the power lead, power box and the GPS lead, seems like a lot to hide. Was this an issue?

Wires haven't been an issue to tuck up into the headliner. I haven't paid much attention to the amount of hours of video it can store, seems to be more hours than I drive in a day usually 3-5
Why is the bt11 apparently discontinued? I would prefer this to the bt7, Did they have problems with the bt11 or are they coming out with an updated version?
By the looks of it its just out of stock. That's what it says on the website. I find that happens with some of the newest released models. Likely they are working on another production run to restock.

A solid review. I still use an older Haloview system and I’m very happy with it.
Always giving us honest reviews. Thank you
Another great review, thanks Ray!

That's true, personally I prefer a separate dedicated dash cam.
Thanks for the video. Would you wait for the bt11 or get the bt7? At this point im thinking bt7, even though i initially was leaning toward the bt11.

Thanks, maybe I'll wait some more, but I have been watching their website for about 2 months now.
