A few people have asked why I use sunscreen under this CC cream since it has sunscreen, so here's the answer: It takes 1/4 teaspoon of sunscreen for your face & neck to give you the SPF stated on the label. It doesn't matter if it's plain sunscreen or foundation with sunscreen, you have to use this much to get the SPF stated. No one uses 1/4 teaspoon of foundation... it would look gross. Using one pump of this CC cream cuts the SPF from 40 to about SPF 10. Sun exposure is the #1 ager of the skin and your face is exposed all day, every day so my sunscreen is non-negotiable. But rest assured, I have tested the sunscreens that I use just as thoroughly as I test foundations. I've tested these sunscreens under lots of different foundations and they don't affect the wear of the makeup or make me more oily after a few hours or make the makeup settle into wrinkles. Hope that helps. xo ~angie
Angie I'm so glad you've repeating your thoughts and the facts re: sunscreen and the use of it under makeup even though it contains sunscreen. I think the people that ask about that here and there must not watch regularly because these are facts you've made very clear for a long time. I think it's great you repeated it all because every time you do you are educating those that don't know, and without being dramatic, you could be saving someone from developing skin cancer. At the very least it will decrease sun damage and the aging effects on their skin. Great job!
HotandFlashy Thank you got this info. I didn’t know this! I will start doing the same
Not sure if you've seen Dr Dray's TH-cam channel but she has so many excellent videos about sunscreens and debunking skin myths. She's a dermatologist and so informative!
I love the IT Cosmetics line and I agree with everything you said about sunscreen use. I am not sure if the line is carrying a sunscreen in their line yet that can be worn in addition to their foundations I will check, if not it can't be too far behind since they have branched out into skin care products. I also run dry to normal so their products work well for me. Without reading through the comments I would think the only problem with not showing the product worn without out the sunscreen is that it does compromise the product when we add other things to it. As you say you have tested your sunscreens and I appreciate that I will be using additional sunscreen with mine when the order arrives. However when I try out foundations although it can be difficult I do it on a day where I know I will be home, and if I need to go outside it is minimal and a big hat that i use in the garden with the sun barrier in it is what i will wear, etc. It's tough cause I have found most products perform great solo but being avid sunscreen wearers that's not the reality. In conclusion I will check the line for sunscreen and also write the company to request if it is not in their line and I would also kindly ask you to submit to them the idea as well since they have you on the list for testing their products and reporting to the masses. Thanks again for your honest review and thoroughly explanation as always. Have a great weekend.
Edit/Update: I did check on QVC and the line does have a anti aging serum/primer, it does not contain a sunscreen but it is designed to be worn over your other skin care products. I would like to think that this would be the holy grail to the topping over our sunscreens and would perhaps create the barrier that is needed to work with the foundations from this line. Perhaps if you are sent the items or have them already you can give in a try and let us know how it goes. Thanks again!
HotandFlashy Thank you so much for bringing awareness and KNOWLEDGE about this! I watch so many people who use their spf 15 primer as their sun protection for the day. I feel like when I do say something I can get misunderstood and taken as me being judgmental or preaching about it. In reality I am just trying to help, LOL!!! But,I do love that you provide accurate information on your channel, whereas the other YT's people watch for pertinent information about skincare is often not correct and people will just assume it must be true.🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ SO to sum this whole thing up,im just saying thank you,LOL!😘
Again, I very much appreciate the true close ups & the consistent check ins, very helpful in whether or not a product is right for my mature skin. Professional review as per usual Angi!!!
Thanks for all of the time you spend doing these foundation reviews. No one does it as thorough as you do! It’s appreciated.
Teresa McGonagle agreed!
Yes! ❤❤❤
Teresa McGonagle totally agree!!!
I'm 36 yrs old and love your videos. They are so informative and you have a great personality. You do thorough extensive research. Very much appreciated.
Just ordered the set from QVC. I got a sample of the original cc cream and went from not liking it at all to really liking it in a few days. I have oily skin so hopefully this works for me. I don’t expect anything to ever control oil for more than an hour on me...that’s how it is. Blotting is my life! Thanks for the review! Well done, Angie!!
Hi, your reviews always come with high standards. This one is no exception. I love that you go outside and show how the foundation looks in natural light, also the 3-5-10 etc hours check in. Thanks for sharing!
Love that you did the phone test. I honestly don’t care about the “flash back test” which everyone seems to do, but I haven’t seen many people do a “phone test”, but that I really appreciate. Thanks :)
Just gotta say, I'm in my 30s and I very much enjoy your content. My skin just began to change in the past year or 2 and makeup just does not wear the same anymore, so I very much appreciate your in depth reviews. The fact that you dont hide your natural texture is a MAJOR help and the fact that you are honest about the "assistance" you've had done makes you much more relatable than any of the "guru's" closer to my age. Most of them use fancy lighting & filters, and pack on makeup. Then when they try to lie about all the botox and filler that they are using it just makes them seem ingenuine & untrustworthy ... and also makes me feel like crap about my skin and age! So, long story short, thank you for your content! Its very helpful, and when I'm 20 years older, I sure hope my skin looks just as AMAZING!
Do I need a matte foundation.... no. Did I watch the entire video..... YES! I absolutely love all your videos especially reviews. ❤️
Yahaira Ayala LOL!!! Same here! 🤣🤣
I'm guilty too lol
Same!!!
Me too. I love watching Angie's reviews. But I did buy the tinted Sunscreen from Australian Gold because of her. ❤️
Zari A I’ve been using it since last year too because of Angie. I love that its not greasy and blends so well.
After you applied the Bye Bye Pores setting powder, the finish on your skin was flawless! I need that powder!
I also use that setting daily as Angie does and I love it. It's a good choice! ;-)
TheHonestBeautyReview i love bye bye pores powder. Keep one in my purse
Im over 50 cant wait to get mine coming today. Got on easy pay and auto delivery. Couldnt pass up a great deal and price
That’s what I was thinking.
Elf has one that’s a dupe for $6 I love it
Angie I have been watching you for several months and love your channel! 31 here and really starting to get serious about anti aging products. I too have oily skin, but noticing signs of aging. I bought the channel velvet and fell in love with it! It’s amazing and is a top pick, my only problem with it is the color range and price. That’s what keeps it from being my true holy grail. I tried this new It cosmetics product because I love the idea of an anti aging long lasting foundation. I have to say- this is my new holy grail! It is awesome for me! I love that is affordable (offered on qvc and great pricing with brushes included!) and it pairs nicely with my Australian gold botanical sunscreen. Thank you for you hard work and thorough reviews!!
I just ordered mine, I really liked the coverage of the original but couldn't handle the smell of it. I'm 53 and used to have an oilslick for a face but my skin is drying out a little as I get older but still have oily patches. We will see how it holds up to the heat and humidity here in Texas! By the way thank you for your reviews. There aren't that many for us older gals, seems like all the other youtubers are only doing the glittery shadows, huge false lashes and Instagram brows which don't work for me, I prefer a more simple routine and natural look like you have. Hugs from Dallas 🙂
It was so smoothing and I couldn't believe how it filled my pores and it didn't settle into my fine lines. I did have to powder but I always do so for me it's a winner !!!
Hi Angie, I was told that IT CC creams have build-in primer. So you do not need any primer for it.
Hi AngieI, just started using the new matte finish two weeks ago after using the CC+ Illumination™ with SPF 50 for the last 2 years. I have cancer and undergoing Chemo at this time so my skin is unpredictable however this works perfectly for me every time. I'm using Neutral Medium and have been asked several times about what I use to get that perfect match and finish sometimes using Bye Bye pores pressed powder. I'm in Florida so on warmer days I may use powder. I believe this makeup has moisturizer in it however to get the perfect matte finish I only use moisturizer after my bath after my cleansing routine. I'm 69 years old, started wearing makeup at 13. In all those years never have I used anything to compare. I'm 100% sold on this product. Hope this helps someone out there. Thanks for all your videos.
I just received my TSV yesterday and tried it out yesterday and today prior to seeing your video, and there are points I completely agree with you. First I'll say I do not have oily skin so I did not have shine issues. I have normal skin and my concern with any coverage is looking cakey! I tried it on both days without primer and automatically loved it - I basically put it over my moisturizer. I am glad to hear you say skip the primer as I was thinking about it and now I know I don't have to. Also I definitely say applying with the sponge is the best! I did not like the brush as it was streaky, although afterwards it did settle nicely, I just did not like seeing streaks in the process. So I use the IT brush solely for the perfecting powder.
And definitely less is more. 2 pumps at most, and even one pump does the trick. And yes this is not full coverage, but for spot coverage I used the NYX HD concealer and viola. I also did loved how my pores looked although my pores are small. And yes the perfecting powder is on point. And yes this stuff is long wearing. Feels very light and I do not look cakey! I never used a CC before and I'm sold on this IT CC. I love it and it makes my skin look smooth, youthful and even color textured skin. I'm 52 and have no issues with my skin and basic fine lines. I am very very happy with this IT Matte CC. Thanks Angie for your review!
Angie - your videos are the best. You are saving me so much money. Most videos don't thoroughly test products. I feel like you are the consumer reports for make up over 50.
WOW you are thorough and knowledgeable. I'm not in your age range, but in the interest of learning and helping my mother I'm totally subscribing! Very glad to see another level-headed youtuber I can trust.
I bought mine during the pre sale. I absolutely hate the original CC cream. Slides off my face and the citrus ingredients irritate my skin. I wore this one to work today and I love it!!!! So glad I bought it. Great review as always Angie!!!
Hi Angie. I am the same age as you. I’ve had oily skin since my teens and I have never found a foundation or primer that prevent oil from coming through for more than 4-6 hours. The best one by far is Estée Lauder double wear. I love your foundation Fridays :)
THNK YOU! for trying this. I had a HORRIBLE experience with the other regular formula of CC cream. It was thick, felt oily, got greasy, turned orange on me and got really shiny and was smearing and sliding all over as well as rubbing off. I ended up throwing a large tube & and small travel size tube away it was so terrible. I hated that I wasted all that money. I saw this "oil free" one and thought maybe this one might be better. After seeing how it acted for you in your first try on it stopped me from making another expensive and terrible mistake!! SORRY you had to buy it and do all the trying, but I for one appreciate it so much!
You do the best reviews of anyone on TH-cam! Thank you for your thoughtful and honest comments. I love listening to your voice and you think through every possible scenario that someone would want to know about a product. Thank you, thank you!!
Thanks for the video Angie! IT is one of my "go to " foundations, but I'm always looking because at 61 I still have problematic skin. I was so excited about this "oil free" version but didn't want to spend til someone I trusted had weighed in. That's you! I'm buying!
Thanks for this review. Could you do a full face review of both E.L.F. Cosmetics and Essence cosmetics. Both very affordable with full face selections from primers to setting sprays. Thank you.
Rachel Ross I love the ELF matte foundation!! It’s so awesome!
I was waiting for this product and ordered it from QVC as the set. I was so disappointed! The foundation looked chalky, stung a little bit and didn’t really control my oil and the powder that came with it made every little imperfection and wrinkle look worse !! I wasn’t too happy with the brush either! All in all I think I’ll with my oily skin I’ll stick with the cc cream and use my own powder! Always appreciate all your reviews Angie! Thank you
You always do such a wonderful job reviewing a product , so thorough!!!
Thanks Angie for dedication to your viewers, enjoy your weekend 😎
Thank you for your excellent reviews. I always watch your reviews before buying any products. You are thorough and that helps a lot. Thanks again !
You are convincing me that dewey / luminizing might not work for me anymore. That demo really showed me the velvety finish is flattering. Thank you!
Yea! Something I will try! Funny how things change, my Mom of the 40's & 50 / 60's always had a pressed powder in their handbag for touch-ups. Living in Texas, you have to think you'll get "luminous" no matter what! Thank you for all the detailed work you do Angie.
I just got mine today unfortunately to late to try . I’m very excited because I’m not oily anymore. Love the pros and cons.
I love that you used the cc cream -- and documented your use -- for 3 days, with a diversity of products worn underneath and on top. Often I feel foundation reviews are too shallow and don't give an accurate representation of how something actually performs and wears! Also, the takeaways at the end are great. This review format is super useful :)
I love your reviews. You are always so thorough. First impressions some people do doesn't make an accurate review. Doing different things with a product to figure out how it works best is nice, thanks!
I am really liking the matte CC cream. I wear 3 products with sun screen. I am in love with Chuda Sheer Hydrating Lotion with spf 30 and then I really like Complexion Rescue by Bare Minerals as my primer and it has spf 30. I find I need only the tiniest bit of It CC cream in matte. I appreciate Angie's comments on why she uses additional sunscreen under a foundation that has spf. I completely agree.
When I wear the Hourglass mineral veil primer underneath it does control my oils.
Angie - this was such a dedicated test!!! I combine ITs CC+ original mixed with the Chanel Velvet Lumiere and it comes out matte and stays matte but I don't have only skin. I appreciate your dedication to testing, so much!!! Thank you for all the angles you tried this from!
~Lori
I just received mine and looking forward to trying it. unfortunately the compact did not travel well and had some damage. will have to reach out to see about a replacement.
When I wear a higher SPF foundation, I usually never apply a sunscreen underneath. I have extremely oily skin so adding SPF under a high SPF foundation will definitely make me go from oily to full-on greasy in less than two hours after application. I so appreciate your diligence in testing each foundation with different primers and techniques. Can you give us an update on Erborian with other foundations?
I have been waiting for you to review this!! The other IT CC creams just don't work for me, too oily. I just received my IT Matte yesterday. I did get the Neutral Medium (comes with medium powder) and Neutral Tan (comes with tan powder) and they are almost the same color, but not yellow which is good. It is definitely a thicker formula, seems to drag with a brush, and for me seems to accentuate texture. I did not try with the powder yet so that may help. I was hoping this would last and keep oil at bay but see it did not for you. So disappointing as I have high hopes for this new cream. As a 56 year old with oily skin and pores you can see from outer space :) I love watching your videos and in depth road tests. Great job!
So excited for this review! I'm even more excited IT Cosmetics made a CC Cream without the citrus oils. BTW, thank you so much for introducing me to the Australian Gold SPF. Finally an easy to use SPF that I can wear by itself or under makeup without issue!
I truly enjoy watching your videos! I'm not 50, or anywhere near (28) but with such honest reviews and the fact that you show skin close up if very helpful.
Another great review! I use the original IT CC cream over my spf 50 PA ++++ for added sun protection also! You looked so pretty on day 2 in that color! Please keep us here in our small communities of Northern CA in your thoughts and prayers, as we are surrounded by more wildfires-we have had weeks of unrelenting heat (hovering around 100 degrees) and lots of winds-many have had to evacuate their homes, and still more on evacuation-warning...it's so devastating as so many people are just beginning the recovery process after last October's massive wildfires here.
The fires are so scary and it sounds like it got worse over the weekend. I hope you're safe, and that it rains soon.
I ordered it first thing this morning. I have tried the regular CC, the Bye Bye Lines and Bye Bye Foundation. I think i bought the cushion one too, but I didn’t repurchase. I’m nervous about the charcoal in this drying me out, but I don’t love a luminous finish on my skin so we’ll see. I have yet to meet a sunscreen that didn’t break me out so I’m pretty loyal to the CC cream. Thanks for your review. As always so helpful!
I am glad you liked it, I am excited about all the new colors, I find medium too yellow for me as well..
I absolutely love that you take us outside. That’s always the way to know how good or bad things really are. Amazing 😉
Beautiful and thorough review!!! The Urban Decay lip color looks beautiful on you too!
I thought this foundation looked really pretty on you. Thanks so much for doing this detailed review.
I got an email from Prempro sunscreen saying I must use something to clean my face as you couldn’t just rinse the product. I was impressed that wanted to be sure I washed my face at the end of the day to remove their product. iT cosmetics look great!
I am waiting for this new kit to arrive from QVC I am only using "it" products.Trying to so hard to hide the signs of aging (51 yrs old) but your tips & honesty are incredibly useful.Thank You so much for this!!!
Goodness! You give the best reviews!!!
I’m surprised you say this left you more shiny than the original because that was exactly the problem I have with the original and my skin is similar to yours except my texture comes from acne scars than from sun damage. It’s good to know that I should invest in the brush because I already use the powder. Thanks for always trying out stuff for us!!
I'm glad I got it on autodelivery. I think this might be my holy grail foundation! You looked great in this--after 5 hours in the summer I would expect to need to repowder ANY foundation. I thought the slight shine-through at 10 hours looked good on you. Wear this with confidence, Angie!
I wear the regular cc cream foundation with that powder daily it's flawless along with the Australian Gold plus a little of NYX hydra touch primer. Angie - try just using the powder alone in the mornings it is fab. Thx for the video.
I was hoping you would review this. I received the QVC TSV in PR, and liked the foundation so much, I ordered it from QVC in light medium, because I loved the foundation so much. I consider the CC+ cream is my last step in my morning skincare. Many blessings..MaryEllen
I just went out to the QVC website and they were out of light medium and neutral medium already......😢
😢
Sephora has the new foundation for $38. Sorry you missed out on the TSV, Twila.
I am happy to see that they have introduced cool and warm tones to this line. Still very limited in shade rage, but having the new undertones are nice! I was looking at the regular CC cream and a gal walked over to me and said "no honey, this line is to warm for you", she then proceeded to walk me over to the Lancolm foundation where they had a larger selection of lighter cooler shades. I purchased of course, but I would love to find my true shade in this line as well.
You might want to try Light Medium in this foundation. Medium is also a little to yellow for me. Light Medium has a slight pink undertone and so far I am enjoying the color. I agree this is not matte. Setting the foundation with the powder that came with the set worked well for me. I am going to continue to play around with primers and see what happens. Thank You for this review.
so glad I saw this review. I ordered this today and am really hoping I'm happy with it. Oily skin is not an issue for me. I'm in my 60's with some fine lines and a few wrinkles, but it was such a good deal I hated to pass it up. I have pretty even skin tone so if some of my skin still shows through not a problem. I live in new orleans, but even in the hotter months my face is still on the drier side. I like how it looks on your skin and hope that it would half as nice on mine. Good review.
Nice thorough review, Angie. I think this would be too drying for my skin; I don't do well with clay products (Tarte, etc). The original CC cream works well for me yet doesn't look luminous at all, so I will stay with that. This summer, I am trying bare minerals original powder again after having been away from it for a couple of years. I forgot how much I liked this.
Can I just say you have such beautiful skin!! I love you videos & reviews!! Thank u!!
I know that you didn't mean to say smyoothe but that made my day because my husband and I say that all the time instead of smooth because it's adorable. Thanks for your always amazing reviews. xo, Tracy
Hi Angie! I’m unsure if you said it in the review. Do you like it better than the original or no? I love the original. Thanks! ☺️
My fav for over 50 mature skin foundations are Cover girl healthy Elixir and Neutrogena healthy skin foundation!! Both have spf 20, but I use a moisturizer with SPF so I don't mind. I sheer them out with a glowy product underneath. I think these both are FAB and both under 15 dollars!! YYYEEESSS! Both are glowy, but I love the glow. I think it is essential for mature skin. (just my 2 cents:) I matte out the t zone and the "parenthesis" to keep my oil away with a setting powder, but the rest of my face I like to see GLOW. Of course I always use a setting spray, or all that hard work is for nothing. Thanks for the great video and super informative, Matte or Glowy!! You LOOK GREAT under the ZOOM lens!! You Go!! xoxox
So glad you tried this one out for us! Your reviews are always helpful. xoxo
Excited to get mine on Monday. I have dry skin but still feel like the original CC cream is too luminous. I figure if it is too matte, I can blend the two together.
Whoa! Your Urban Decay lip stain matches your top! I usually purchase the regular It foundation, but will try this formula for my dry skin. Thanks for sharing and by the way, you have beautiful skin!
I've just recently started watching you! I absolutely love how thorough you are with how this CC+foundation wears in every light. I have the original & was excited when I saw they came out with a matte! Loved your review on it. Thank you SOOO much! 💜
Thank you again for a wonderful review. Since I have dry skin this is not on my radar at all but now I have to rethink it since I saw how shiny it got on your face after awhile. Think I'll stick with the CC cream until I run out. I got that finishing powder in another QVC promotion in the beginning of the year I didn't care for it at all. After I put it on over the cc cream it settled into all my wrinkles on my forehead & especially under my eyes.
So glad to see your review! I pre-ordered the TSV and it arrived yesterday. I'm excited to try it because my skin could not tolerate the citrus oils or luminosity of the original. Think I'll try it first as a complete kit without adding any other primer or sunscreen.
The kit is perfect together!!
Hi Angie - Great review as always! I just watched a presentation of this foundation with the TSV on QVC and the IT rep said that it contains primer. That may explain why you liked it w/o
primer - you were double priming when you added your own! I love the original but will be buying this to do the compare on my own skin.
NaturallyRosy u
Hi Angie! I love your VLOG! I think your skin transformation is beyond amazing and appreciate you sharing with us. I’m 29 and feel like I have the skin of someone much older. Unfortunately I’ve done tremendous sun damage. My skin is pale and crepey all over my body. I’m a firm believer in whatever works. Do you do anything on your legs or arms? I appreciate any feed back I’m feeling pretty hopeless.
Thanks so much Angie. It’s so much less expensive to watch you and get a feel for things before buying it myself. I have loved the IT foundations but I’ve never tried the powders. I will for sure be getting both when I’ve culled through the ones I have now.
Angie, will you please test this out again now that it’s not so hot and humid? You are my foundation bible! Thank you!
I just returned the regular cc cream today, because of a strange tingle on my face. I bought it because of your recommendation, and I really loved the look on me. So sad I had to return it
I did order the TSV and have high hopes. The original CC cream made my skin look so shiny; maybe this one will be the holy grail.
Thank you for your review!! I got the new CC cream in Matte Neutral Medium and it looks great in fake light but horrible in natural light. I look orange!
I’m going to try the original. I love your videos! Thank you!
I can’t wait to try this product! Well the weather in MA has been so unbelievably hot, I can even wear makeup when I am outside I swear too much! Perhaps that you add to the wear time.
Thanks so much for reviewing. I went back and forth over the QVC offer and ended up turning it down. I just wasn’t sure and I have the other IT foundation so I loved how you compared the two. Your review was excellent.. I will try in store and probably purchase.
Angie Thanks for showing us all the applications, wear times and lighting comparisons. I feel like I have all I need to determine if it's good for me. Liked the lip color too!
Angie,
I love your informative and sometimes funny reviews and that you actually show everything "in action." So many reviewers just read the production information! I love that you show us the "real" you and how makeup can help us look our best. I wonder if you have ever tried the first product that sold me on IT Cosmetics, ByeBye Redness. I have ruddiness on my nose, chin and nasal ala areas for which I use just a tiny dot of ByeBye Redness! I use it alone on no makeup days and also with foundation (over or under).
My TSV arrived yesterday and is sitting at the sink ready to try this morning! So excited! I can't wear the original cc cream because it's way too shiny, heavy, and accentuates lines I didn't even know I had. Hoping this will be better!
Would love to hear what you think of it!
This gives me hope that there's an IT foundation that might work better than the original, which would slide off my face in four hours.
Great review! I have a lot of It foundations, and the original CC cream was one of my favorites. I also use their powder, it's by far the best setting powder I have found. I love your reviews, always very detailed and informative. Thank you!
The most thorough review I've seen to date. Excellent job!
Angie, this isn't the fdtn for me since my skin is normal in warm weather to normal-dry in colder weather. And, I already find the IT CC+ a tad dry and matte on me. BUT, I did want to give you a big thanks for your raves about Lancome Effercenes concealer. Around 7 or 8 years ago, I noticed that my HG concealer, Cle de Peau was highlighting wrinkles way too much. I reasoned I needed a thinner consistency undereye concealer. YSL Touche Eclat, though marketed as a hightlighter became my new HG. But your raves created a lemming. I tried Effercenes out in Bloomies 2 days ago and wore it for the first time yesterday. You are right. It looked as good as the YSL, maybe better and I think it lasted a bit longer. Nice natural look. Thanks😍
Great to hear!! So happy you like the concealer... also try it with the Laura Mercier Original Foundation Primer under... the combo is perfection!
Thank you so much for reviewing the new formulation. I was hoping you would do a video on it. I ordered mine in a color lighter than medium since people have said medium runs warm and I am cool toned. Love your channel.
Great info! I watched a video earlier (can’t remember what it was for) and it had a Curology ad and it was you!! Very nice!
Just bought the Light shade. I will review it for my dry skin. Thanks Angie for your in-depth honest reviews! : )
Kathy Aay Looking forward to your review!
It works well for dry skin
Kathy Aay Beauty I bought it in light also and I have normal/combo skin. Wondering how it will work. I just subscribed to ur channel!!
My skin is drier too and I have ordered this TSV - hope it might arrive today. It will be interesting to see how it works on normal to dry skin.
Outstanding video content, AS USUAL. Do you have any suggestions on how you would make the medium shade more of the neutral medium, since you already have the medium in hand? You have mentioned NYX Foundation Mixer in the past. Do you think one of their shades would help the IT medium get to the neutral medium shade? I just went on line at QVC and the color selection is down to 7, neutral medium being sold out. It was on presale and 18000 units of product were already gone before today.
Update on 8-1-18:
I went to my Ulta, purchased the NYX Foundation Mixer in Olive. With the It Cosmetics Associate, we added a tiny drop to one pump of It CC Medium and...….it became a PERFECT neutral medium when compared to the CC Foundation in the same shade. I'm thrilled, and just wanted to share my discovery. I have a tube of Medium and now I will like wearing it more often. Thanks Angie, for intro-ing the NYX product in a previous video.
Hi Angie! I saw your comment about wearing sunscreen under foundations, but can I suggest you give this a try with a different sunscreen than the Australian Gold? I’ve had trouble with that sunscreen being finicky under some foundations and making me greasy, just like you experienced in this video. I think it’s just a bad combo. Also, if you think about it, you’re basically just adding back in the mineral sunscreen that IT had to take out of this formula to make it stay matte in the first place (which is why it came down to SPF 40.) Know what I mean?
michelle schultz the australian gold is the best sunscreen.👍👍👍👍 free of chemicals.
michelle schultz I totally agree, just saw another video that didn’t use the Australian sunscreen and it did not look oily. I definitely think that whatever you put underneath affects the foundation.
Hi Angie ~ I love the new IT CC matte and the powder is good too; especially, since I can add more sunscreen during the day by using the powder. I was using the IT luminous but it looked like a glowing greasy yellow finish.
As always, an excellent review! Since I ordered their Bye Bye Foundation and their regular CC cream this summer, I didn't think I needed this lol... I love their products. QVC almost did sell out today. They had some left in only 2 shades, selling over 110,000 sets!!!!
As always, love your reviews! I'm especially excited about this review, since I'm 45 years old. I also loved how you experimented with how you wore it, and what went under it. Thanks!!
It's already sold out on QVC! So even though I wasn't able to get it there I did order on IT Cosmetics website just the foundation though.
Thank you - I have ordered it from qvc. I love the regular and wear it regularly in the summer months in particular. I ordered this one because of the deal to get the brush and powder. I have been applying the regular CC with The it foundation brush but can’t wait to try the new brush.
Want to here your take on the new Neutral Medium, hope you orderedit. I ordered the OVC TSV in the preorder and it arrived yesterday. Love it! Chose the new Neutral Medium, after the first use I think it is a better match for me than the Medium the the IT CC I had been using. I order the last IT OVC TSP which came with blush. I had a hard time not applying to much, very pigmented. The blush works much better over the new powder included in the TSP. Just checked the OVC website and see it is sold out, could not even get a description of the products. Im sure it will be back soon.
This is the 2nd mature skin review I've seen on this product. I didn't order it 😕 I would need tan & from the demo on qvc the tan girl looked pink after applying the product👎🏽 I'm afraid of the powder. As usual Angie you look great.
Personally I think it looks really nice, especially the last day. I wonder if it would work better for you in the winter, or less humid weather. By work better, I mean be more mattifying.
WOW! That color coral is perfection on you!
I love the It Cosmetics CC Illumination 50 spf, I think the matte would be too drying for me...thank you for demonstrating it for us, I always love your informative reviews!!
I was hoping it would be better in terms of oil control. My skin is very oily, despite being 39, and I want to stay matte through the work day.
Linda Libra Loca have you tried Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet? It's so good for oily skins and really worth the money imo. X
No, I haven´t. The Lumiere would have scared me, it sounds so glowy. I´ll make sure to swatch it.
My skin has changed as I’ve gotten older. Used to be more dry and now more oily, will be 39 in October. I’ve been using CYO Matte foundation for a few weeks now and loving it! I get very oily in my T zone and it holds up great. I still powder the center of my face b/c I don’t know of any foundation that controls oil completely. I rarely have to reapply powder later in the day.
Yes, I do that with most foundations. I was hoping for one that doesn´t need that though.
That sounds more promising, thank you for the heads up. I am not sure if CYO is avaliable in Germany though, at least I am not familiar with it.
Hi~ Your face is flawless (no brown spots/freckles)...You should try these foundations on your chest or arm demonstrating the coverage on freckles and other....
Oh I'm glad you mentioned the citrus oil. The citrus smell was so overwhelming for me. I do have dry skin though so I try to steer clear of matte products.
