Huge companies (not just motorcycle) have stopped development of the two stroke as they CAN NOT make them run clean enough. Detroit Diesel, a major manufacturer of computer controlled, fuel injected two cycle diesel engines discontinued production as their engineers found it impossible to make them run clean. Unfortunately, I can't see the 2-cycle engine finding renewed life.

A rocker arm speeds up the valve opening even do to rocker ratio. That’s why you see “cam followers” aka rocker arms on SOHC and DOHC engines.

Yes it's more efficient....but for bike it's not relevant because cost to manufacture....plus more electronic part make it more complicated thus lost meaning of bike for being easy to maintain,low cost and simple vehicle to move around 😁😁😁
