You know yall just cracked the code wen He said where He got the drums from... "Track Master's who produced LL Cool J's - I Shot Ya"... The industry is funny like that ... #Salute...👑✨👑
Sure most missed a key point in this episode. This man who is responsible for so much heat still got drums and help from another producer. Collaborating can be a beautiful thing. One simple idea or sound you may not have considered can push a record over the top.
The interlude had me searching all over for Keith Murray's verse on this song. Never found it until someone uploaded who shot ya on youtube with him and Biggie. Why didn't Keith Murray's verse make it to radio?
All my life I never been into Hip Hop. I like Grime and UK stuff, but US Hip Hop hasn't tickled my taste buds. HOWEVER, since having owned Maschine and checking alot of the resources, specially Dubspot, I've really found a technical appreciation for it. Keep up with this series, im learning and enjoying. For me, thats the point of it.
Pharrell told a funny but Krazy story on "Drink Champs" after NORE mentioned this dude here who also produced the beat for "Queen bitch" for lil Kim that goons in Virginia Beach was doing drive-bys or just lickin off shots in the air when that song was played anywhere
You guys just watched a hip hop innovator and someone who's ears are not of this earth.... The guys got a reputation, does he need to make something up on his probably SECOND time on Maschine so the masses can hate? Believe me, you will hear hotness that he made on Maschine in due time...
word @Jasonbruce I said the same thing, he dropped the ball how can he upload a loop with no drums under neath, its not done that way, as beat makers we complete the entire track, not pass it to another, that was your bag that puff gave to Nashim and he drop it, WOW BRO.
TuneStunnaMusic He still created the beat , so he gets credit . Regardless of where he got the drums , at least there was no credit jacking , like Puff did with Pete Rock and Easy Mo Bee
This dude is a Legend. Dont sleep.

Crazy how Nash did both the hardest beats n the radio smash hit records. Very versatile...
Maschine is so next level. It will be the foundation for the new classics.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
im from down under and when i go to nyc im coming for a lesson, you guys are so knowledgeable. Really need this back home.
Salute Nasheim! been rockin' with your work for years. I also met you in the early 90s and you was always very cool peoples.

Sounds like he was just being lazy and didn't take time to layer in some drums....that's basic
This show and the Marley Marl videos are the best videos on the internet
I thought Nash was gonna remake the beat...
I love the scarface track! Also mase rocks! Biggie is dope!
As a Hitmen fan and especially a NASHMACK fan, I feel like an idiot this interview has been up for 2 years and I missed it. smdh

The best. Please tell me 2.0 is coming out soon to make Maschine that much better!
Cool rework
Maschine ,,,,,, nothing but Love !
Lack of dedication.

Gotta thank puff, the average person would not understand what he did but did you hear what my man said...Puff told him to call Poke for drums

You mean to tell me all he did was loop a sample, he couldnt even put his own drums in, he had to get someone else to do it? WTH??
TuneStunnaMusic He still created the beat , so he gets credit . Regardless of where he got the drums , at least there was no credit jacking , like Puff did with Pete Rock and Easy Mo Bee
good point
no no. PUFF had someone else do it. the beat was for an interlude, nothing serious.
and did you not see the list of hits they played in the intro?
yet nobody else made that beat and its one of the illest in hip hop history
9 people like 2pac
He was being polite. That 'remix' is too bouncy. "Who Shot Ya" hits hard because of it's simplicity. Now we're doubling the voices and kicks. Nah.
Yeah mafucka, acting like you dont know how to use an MPC..
While you made the most legendary beat on earth.
disrespectful
bullshit should had mad a his on sample
Sounds horrible
