    Great video bro! Been watching every video out there until I can get one. Your video by far has been the most informative, thorough and genuine review. Thank you 🙂👍

      Hey thanks. I’ve been riding my Vitpilen during winter and plan on doing another review in the spring. So far the bike has been solid and reliable.

    Miss my 401 vit. I got the Huskie rear peg delete kit, opens the rear up nicely. Plus PUIG screen was a nice add on for wind.
    Also got a colour matched Zeiger engine guard for my 2018 (flouro yellow)
    The aggressive position got to me over time
    os - don't think the tyre profile on the vit will let you get rid of strips. dont' push too hard

      Nice. I've had my Vit401 for 14 months now and still love it. Such a fun bike to ride and looks so damn cool too. Congrats!

    Love my '22 Vit 401. For sure, it's amazing looking, the apple of my eye. It's also good to ride. No problems in 3000 miles.

    Bought one in April and couldn’t be happier except for those clip on bars I can’t wait to change them over to Svart bars.
    Edit: that colour is a nightmare to match btw.

      I changed the bars from Svartpilen on my Vitpilen 401 and I am very satisfied. I wish you a lot of enjoyment on your bike when you get it.

    May i ask your opinion. Do you think a Suzuki GSX-S 750 is a good daily commuter for dense urban cities?

      Hey, you're welcome. I actually just got a flat rear tire this past weekend. I live far from the dealership but thankfully a small independent shop near me had the tube in stock. Was nice not having to replace the tire.

    interesting that you said you’ve a bunch of motorcycles and a lot of experience before getting the 401. i am the same way, if it get a vit401, it’ll be my 8th or 9th moto, but the lightest ever. would you pls clarify one thing for me… inner tubes or tubeless tires?

    • @yamahapilot
      @yamahapilot  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      As far as tubed vs tubeless, it actually took me a while to get used to tubed tires. The sidewalls are notably softer when compared to tubeless tires. So when you go over curbs entering a parking lot, or hit a pothole they flex much more than tubeless tyres. Almost feels like you’re going to bang your rim. That being said, I had a flat (from a nail) a few months ago and it was cheap to fix as I only had to get the tube replaced at not the tire itself. I definitely see the advantage of spoked wheels and tubed tyres for going off the beaten path as you might get air leaks from a damaged rim, but for asphalt I’d prefer tubeless. That being said, the spokes look awesome on this setup.
      Also, the bike's lightweight design and the slim 150 rear allows the bike to tip over very easily when leaning, which took some getting used to. The advantage though of the narrower tires is that the bike is very flickable and easy to manoeuvre, especially when going slow. I’m used to them now and like them. Anyhow, hope that helps man.

    Hi mate, are you able to link/explain the mirror/bar mod you did please? So keen to get mine soon!

    • @yamahapilot
      @yamahapilot  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure. It’s a pretty straight forward install. I like the rectangular design of the these. Suits the esthetic of the overall bike better than the round mirrors imo. Hopefully this link works. Good luck. a.co/d/b9pBfTq

    Would you recommend this bike for beginners?

    • @yamahapilot
      @yamahapilot  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Absolutely. It's a very light bike with more than enough power even for seasoned riders. You won't feel the need for more even after riding a while.

      I mentioned in the video that I started recording just after I washed my bike. So, it's not a leak.

    Did you get the easy shifter unlocked? I got it unlocked after break in at the dealer. It's only a line they have to find on their computer to unlock it, no extra hardware.
    Ride safe mate!

      Are you referring to the Quick Shifter? Yes, I have it but I get a quick shifter failure message once in a while. I don't use it much so not too bothered by it.

    How has reliability been for you?

    • @yamahapilot
      @yamahapilot  ปีที่แล้ว

      The clutch lever has been loose since I bought it. It’s also stalled about four times shortly after beginning my ride, but I’m not sure if that’s bc it’s a single cylinder. I have noticed that if I keep the tank from going near empty, it’s doesn’t stall, tho I’m not sure if that’s related. And finding neutral when you come to a stop can sometimes be difficult. Other than that I’ve been riding it everyday for 3.5 months and it’s been reliable.

      @@yamahapilot great review dude! I’m currently trying to decide between the Vit and svart and your review was helpful

    • @yamahapilot
      @yamahapilot  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@keevinGood to hear it helped. I was actually considering a Smart, but when I saw them both in person I felt more comfortable on the Vit. Probably bc I have a sport bike background and prefer the lower clip-ons as opposed to upright handlebars. Also, I doubt I will ever go off-road which is better suited for the Svart. I only ride on pavement and prefer the better traction of the sport tyres.

  • @Coolio157
    @Coolio157 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    How do you find it comfort wise? I'm maybe an inch and a half taller and the only negative thing I hear is the lower handlebars? I would like to take it on longer trips so that's the only thing that worries me.

    • @yamahapilot
      @yamahapilot  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Coolio157 depends on how long your trip is, but I wouldn’t really want to take the bike on long trips. But that’s just me personally. My rides are less than 30 minutes. Usually only about 20 minutes. I mainly use it to commute as opposed to going on pleasure rides.

    • @Coolio157
      @Coolio157 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@yamahapilot Thanks I ended up getting one. The only thing I find is the vibration in the right side handlebar causes numbness in my hand. Otherwise comfortable. Did you find the same thing re vibration? I heard it gets better after first service?

    • @yamahapilot
      @yamahapilot  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Coolio157 I don’t recall if there was any vibration in the right clip-on when I first got the bike, but with 9,500 km on the odometer, there's no unusual vibration. The only time my hands and arms get tired is when I’m being lazy and not gripping the bike with my legs.
