Yzuei, I think you might find this interesting. That 3D illusion that was used on the pipe skin is known as PBR, its a process that requires multiple different version of the same texture that allow the game engine to render the texture as if light was bouncing off the surface of the pipes. This is commonly used in games to save time, resources, and performance instead of making each surface have a real properties and a 3D shape.
@@ToroidalZero4 probably, you can use inputs from controller to set the binds, then switching to mouse treats it like you're using a thumbstick. so, i dont think it detects speed of mouse movement, and just treats it binary like "moving in x direction?" 1 or 0. so it goes the same speed
They should have added more weapons like full blown lasers of many sizes and an impact energy shield that protects from melee damage and also some highly auto aimable sniper weapon
It makes sense for game play but fun fact, IRL, intakes creates drag. There are designs out there that do not add drag, if so adds very little, but intakes in general create drag due to the air choking at the intake due to the shape
I think my favourite part has to be the new map, two carriers is something I’ve wanted for a long time but the main thing has to be having a runway, I build big aircraft and I can’t make them takeoff properly on the aircraft carriers I need this and now haha
Gotta say i'm REALLY looking forward to both the aiming servos and the intake blocks. Now i can make a proper F7C Hornet from Star Citizen as some of those intakes are an absolutely PERFECT fit for it, as well as the aiming servo for the gimballed weapons and nose turret! Plus that prop intake is perfect to use for the main rear engine!
I am assuming the way the 3D and Dynamic lighting on the textures works is from PBR materials. Basically just multiple different layers of the same texture.
For the 3d look of textures, how it is done is through a "normal map" I don't really know how it works but it makes so a texture apears 3d even tho its 2d
it'd be nice to see a world of war ships style fight where you use the complexity mod to make giant battle ships to fight against scrapman. but most definatly you have to do a tank battle
The devs said that this is part 1 of the update, so there might be more combat related updates in the future. If they do make a part 2 then I hope they add heat seeking missiles and anti air flak. Anyway, this update looks great!
Just make a homing missle with the sensors, it’s way more fun and rewarding when it works, do hope they add something to make it better like an longer distance sensor
They shouldn’t add missiles directly. They need to give us the tools to make them. All they need to do is make distance sensors longer range, and maybe add the ability to only detect builds and not environment.
distance sensors aren't really good enough for homing missiles, we'd need an option to shapecast instead of the 1-dimensional raycast it does currently.
Most likely the camera vector. Your camera isn't actually centered around the player anyway, it's centered around the COM. Camera blocks will probably work just fine.
Day 8? Of asking for tank battles on Nassau Also: That map looks perfect for doing amphibious vehicle battles, where you spawn at the carrier and battle on the island/other mini islands
yeah the new pieces are great and the texture packs look fun why the New damage model... Not a fan, rubber doesn't chip... and I'll admit with all the new models and the PVO aspect I was really hoping fot tank treads... oh well
Its Official 1.9.5 is out on DECEMBER 5th!

Still waiting on breaks to be a wheel centered thing rather than using an engine to pop into reverse
you can take a dedicated engine only for braking and put the strength to 0.01 then it will still brake put not not reverse
Don't even need a dedicated engine, just put it through an or block with a .3 duration and pause
But I would also love some wheel based brakes instead, preferably with strength settings

With these carriers you could maka a nice 2v2 each team builds a Plane and a AA and the team wich kills the other AA first wins

you can't directly attach tailfins to the aiming servo as it'll turn the wrong way
@ with some piston glitching and funky angles, it will be possible. I don’t thing it will be possible to achieve roll tho.
