    I didn't list the exact brand as shown in the video because 1) I couldn't find a link or 2) you can just use whatever you want as an alternative.
    Don't get stuck on the brands because if we were to change every brand to something else, we'd still finish in 1.5 hours.

      I think if you have the pump sprayers pre pumped before you show up its more efficient. But on the other hand if you have a master blaster then i think its just as much effort as a pump sprayer. Because you always have to pump the sprayers no matter what. I find the best solution is a master blaster spray bottle because it uses alot of product like the pump sprayer but you dont ever have to worry about havinging it pumped up. Tommato tammato..Also ive found if you take a cheap bucket and cut off the bottom like a deep plate then cut it into 4ths like a pizza.. i use them under the wheels so the hoses dont get caught. Its cheap and it works. I put those under the wheels as i hit the wheels so i dont waist time doing it separately...

    I understand your point with how people could have misperception of a proper efficient detail due to the entertainment aspect of youtube detailing but would you ever consider showing your actual full, raw, most efficient procedure so us detailers can optimize our own process ? Also make sure to get more SD cards so you don’t have to be transferring out files 🤗

I owned a mobile detailing shop back in the 80s I really enjoyed it and unfortunately I underpriced myself right out of the business, honestly wouldn't mind getting back into it again it was fun, it was always great seeing the customer smile, especially when they walk out to their car and say "Oh my God it never looks so good" . I think you just nailed exactly why I'm so slow. I'm learning from TH-cam but no detailer on there is going to tell you to skim over stuff that doesn't need much attention. They show you how you should be rotating a little detail brush over every surface.
    I couldn't understand how a guy can do a whole interior in 2 hours working like that....but if you can combine 3 steps into one, that's probably the most efficient.
    When you look at price Vs time, you just HAVE to cut some corners or be more efficient. Otherwise, you'd only do 1 car per day and only get $200 for that...it just doesn't pay that way

    I’m a weekend warrior detailer and the one thing I got to say is when you’re moving fast, you tend to miss some spots. One thing I did was write down everything from step 1 to the last step that I would be doing when I’m detailing my car. I use that paper as a reference so I can basically study my procedures and remember what I need to do. I don’t know if anybody else does that but it has helped me in being quick and efficient because before I wasn’t cleaning my car the way I wanted when I was moving fast

    Styling and profiling for a TH-cam video is mainly for show but anyone really grinding and hustling their butts off trying to knock out a detail will treat things differently. My goal is not to mess around but get the work done under a specific amount of time and be done with it. Wasting time doing something isn’t going to keep you wanting this line of work for long.

How to wash
    I just noticed some paint issues on my car so clay barred it and used Meguiars gold carnuba wax all by hand. I lost daylight buffing that out. I would never wax by hand again.

    Great video as usual Oscar! You're a beast being so efficient ;-)
    I love doing the MF towel wash using ONR, exactly as you described (flip until all 8 sides are used, and grab a new one) - ONR leaves the car so nice and shiny and also seems to have some water beading affect.
    Also, it think when filming these detailings, a lot of guys maybe tend to over-do it for the camera. E.g. gently/slowly rubbing in APC with a detail brush on every little surface. I don't understand how you can do a car fast when doing that. Of course, I'm not very experienced, so I could easily be wrong ;-)

    • @jayasmrmore3687
      @jayasmrmore3687 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on time. If they are rushed they don’t but if not then there is no problem with doing slow for camera (not rushed=customer doesn’t mind). Some of it can be editing and slow mo too.

    Detailing in the real world is all about time I fully agree there. Been following you for a while now we are uk based and operate a very similar business model to you. Catering both high end and mid range customers mobile and in studio services. We have learned a lot from you and your channel about efficiency tips etc. Hope you could find some time to check out our channel. I highly recommend the 1970 rolls Royce video. Keep up the great work guys

    Why don’t you guys use a spray sealant over applying a wax/sealant? It seems faster to apply with less equipment. I have been using the EGO blowers since 2015 and they are awesome. It does suck up front buying batteries but less time and hassle with chords and generators etc.

    250 for a car wash and wax? Exterior only? It takes me about 5-7 hours do do one car inside and out. For 100-150. You are lucky to have a market like this. I respect your hard work,I do it every day,but in my opinion,it is insane to pay prices like this for a careful car wash.. it is just mind bogling for me.
