This ship makes so much sense. They both have put what other people need and want first before themselves. Eve was literally made to be Adam's wife and Maze was made to serve Lucifer. If anyone would understand what these two have felt all their lives would be each other.

Eve was right to step away when she did, because you cannot possibly be happy with someone else until you learn to be happy on your own. She left a life of codependence, first with Adam ,then with Lucifer, and truly became her best self because she had time to realize who that 'self' really was. As Linda said, the beauty of a healthy relationship is joining with someone else, giving to that person, having them reciprocate, and not losing who you are in the process.
If my memory serves me correctly, demons and celestials are pansexual. That's kind of in their nature because gender isn't really something that exists in their world. Idk. But I have a memory of Lucifer saying something about not caring about gender and that it's a human thing to pin the attraction down to one gender. Something like that. C:
