I think Rucas might break up somewhere in the beginning of season 4 and Lucaya might happen towards the end of the season. I agree, this whole "Maya became Riley" was absolute nonsense that really showed how much they don't know about how to deal with feelings and a poor excuse to try and fix things. And finally...Joshaya. There ia so many things wrong with this couple. Josh is taking full advantage of Maya's innocence and filling her with a whole lot of junk, especially when he talks about why Maya liked Lucas-when he wasn't there for 3/4 of the season! Plus, Joshaya is just another Rucas. They like each other based on the way they look. Maya thinks he's handsome and Josh says she grew up "gorgeous." Basically, it's a shallow relationship.
You can tell that they actually kiss in the campfire scene if you actually watch it it goes to the wide shot then goes back and Lucas I'd opening his eyes and leaning back.
one more: during that almost kiss scene; the only way to make her "Stop" was the intention of kissing her. meaning that was pure instinct. not second thought about it. ya don't do that unless ya have feelings
i used to be such a big rucas but i notice that they kind of have this plain relationship that doesnt have enough sparks but lucaya has such a entertaining relationship and makes you smile constantly

Disclaimer before you see what I say after this (I ship this to):but there is one this that in all the videos for the different ships that no one has said or probably noticed, in the lodge episode it is proved that Lucas chose Riley way before that. in the very beginning when Josh shows up and Maya gets all giggly, Lucas doesn't get jealous but later on he gets super jealous when Riley stays up all night with a guy. why would he get jealous of one but not the other.

I believe they make a lot more sense than Rucas, I mean they're like fiyahhh and I do think they're endgame, but they have a long way to go before they can get to that point. Also, I've noticed the change in scenes in the GMW opening when it introduces Peyton. The first season it showed nothing but Rucas scenes (his part of the song is "face to face with changes, what's it all about?") meaning the change from Texas to New York and possibly falling for Riley. But in the second season, the intro showed the Rucas kiss to the Mayaville Lucaya scene, hinting that Lucas' feelings are possibly changing from Riley to Maya. I guess we can only wait for the 3rd season intro to confirm this.

Disclaimer before you see what I say after this (I ship this to):but there is one this that in all the videos for the different ships that no one has said or probably noticed, in the lodge episode it is proved that Lucas chose Riley way before that. in the very beginning when Josh shows up and Maya gets all giggly, Lucas doesn't get jealous but later on he gets super jealous when Riley stays up all night with a guy. why would he get jealous of one but not the other.

+Jonathon Banasiak Yes! One of the best Lucaya lines EVER. I believe they make a lot more sense than Rucas, I mean they're like fiyahhh and I do think they're endgame, but they have a long way to go before they can get to that point.
Also, I've noticed the change in scenes in the GMW opening when it introduces Peyton. The first season it showed nothing but Rucas scenes (his part of the song is "face to face with changes, what's it all about?") meaning the change from Texas to New York and possibly falling for Riley. But in the second season, the intro showed the Rucas kiss to the Mayaville Lucaya scene, hinting that Lucas' feelings are possibly changing from Riley to Maya. I guess we can only wait for the 3rd season intro to confirm this.
