Unfortunately I'd deleted the footage from trail 2,the great glen way and had no form of back up to create a video.. But to get form Inverness to Fort William, The Great Glen Way is the trail I took. There is a reel on my shorts with a little information.

The west highland way has been my favourite trail so far, I saw some epic views and had such beautiful wildcamps on this trail, I hope you enjoy the video 🤙

I do need to get out and do some of these long trails. Ben is the Anglicisation of the Gaelic word Beinn, which means mountain. Ben and Beinn are pronounced the same way. Mon the 'Tube!!!!!

'Beinn' (anglicised as 'ben') means 'mountain' or 'mount'. So you were close. Ben Nevis is really Mount Nevis in English.
Also, Kinlochleven is pronounced Kinloch-lee-vun.

Hi mate, great going, you’re smashing the miles. Stunning views. What noodles are you having? I love them too. Batchlors supernoodles are really lightweight but not sure on the nutritional content. Suppose you could add some sort of protein to them.

Hey buddy! Yeah, I add dehydrated Soya chunks (40g is around 22g protein) then 3 tablespoons of Hemp seeds (180kcal and 10g protein) to bulk them up xx
Could add powdered soup mix to them too xx

£32 for a pair of socks? I'm a Yorkshire man so begrudge paying £8 for really good socks. That's a lot for me when I can get 3 pairs for a fiver.
Sleeping bags - sea to summit Flame for girls and Spark for guys. 1, 2, 3 or 4 is for winners . Fantastic super light bag. Choose the one that suits your sleep temperature needs. Women should always buy a female bag and never a unisex nor men’s bag.

Yeah I understand that. My brain told me to throw my car keys off the ferry into the sea a few weeks ago, which would have been a real pain for all the people I would have blocked in. I didn't of course - it was just a random thought.
Camped at that campsite in Tyndrum last year. Lucky if i got 4 hours sleep. Don't sleep next to the toilets peeps. Theres a table and chairs next to it and theres always a select few that think it's ok to sit til 1am and get drunk about 20 feet from people sleeping.

Hi, just watched your WHW video and i must say im impressed with the milage you did each day. Im very curious as to what month it was. It wasnt sunny and you didnt seem to be affected by the dreaded midges yet sunset was very late so not sure when you went. I did WHW twice rhis year beautiful weather in early june and shocking weather in September
How you film all this, edit it and put it on TH-cam while in the wilderness beats me x you could give chubby browns a good run for his money lol with his potty mouth x
Not cool that those people were unhappy with you turning up late to the bothy - the bothy is there specifically for travellers in need of shelter not just a free nights accommodation, they need to get with the programme.

Excellent video Becca. You are doing amazing. I can't imagine doing that much hiking with the foot problem. Just goes to show that you are unstoppable. I remember parts of the trail from watching girl outdoors Becky when she did the trail. Absolute stunning views. Hopefully you will continue to make these videos even tho it takes alot of time. The Mountain across from your camp at the bottom of the Devils Staircase is Buchaille Etive Mor and is the most photographed Mountain in Scotland. It consists of 4 tops of which 2 are Munros and is an absolute joy to climb. What a great pitch you’ve got there 👌

Cracking video and hike. I used to live in Kinlochleven so used to seeing WHW Hikers pass my house waving their arms beavuse of the midges 😂😂😂
The only bit of the WHW I've done was Fort William to Kinlochleven. Lovely walk if I remember correctly - it was nearly 40 years ago!
Anyway, never mind all that schlepping about the hills; I'm properly impressed that you pronounced Milngavie correctly!
Also, I'm a wee bit deaf and whenever you said 'gust' I heard 'guff'. What can I say, it made me chuckle! 🤭
I’ve always noticed people seem worried when they camp, all the pervs hang about city’s and they wouldn’t dare do the camping and hill walking community because we would sort that problem out.💯😉⛺️🍳🏴

I've noticed a few folk have commented that 'ben' comes from the Gaelic 'beinn' meaning mountain, but I don't think anyone has mentioned that beinn is a feminine noun so I feel like that means we should call the bens (or the beanntan, the plural of beinn!) 'she'

Yeah, the foot issue has been a problem since 2019 but it usually sorts itself out after the first week. Not this time 😂x

I so get it, there has been many a time that I have been walking over the bridge( in Wadebridge) with my phone in hand and in some weird messed up corner of my brain there is a voice saying " chuck it in the River Camel meht!! Go on do it it'll be alright, just chuck it" wtf is that all about😂

awesome trail! did this back in 17 it was a tail of two halves.
beautiful the first half and the second became more survival challenge. would of done better if I had a boat! will to go back and give it another go one day! Affric kintial way is a beautiful trail if you are bagging trails on your way down not very long either but incredible views. all the best stay safe be well!

This is by far my favourite West highland way video. I have this walk next month and am so hyped! So stopping of at that bakery and grabbing some vegan goodies.

Just standard kinesiology tape, and using an insole x
