I'm going to order this one, looked at the options and this one looks to be made really well. I'll also use blue loctite on the threads to help avoid rust and help them not vibrate loose. Thanks for the great install video, it was well done.

Thank you Tim and Sean. Also special thanks to Garret and Caleb for making this possible. This skid plate is nice! Do they make them for a 3rd gen 4runner? 😨

Currently, C4 isn't making anything for 3rd Gens but maybe they will decide to break into this market. I have a rear differential skid on my 1998 made by Bud Built. Here's a link to the video I made installing it: th-cam.com/video/OgLFUSagyBc/w-d-xo.html

Hello Timmy, how are you! I don't miss any video from your channel, because I see a lot of love and professionalism with our 4Runner. I know that my problem is not relevant to the video, but I hope you can give me some tips. I have a 1997 4Runner 3RZFE engine and I am experiencing problems with strong cracking when hanging in side trenches (chassis twists). when the wheels go up and down together nothing happens, only when one wheel goes up and the other goes down, does the cracking happen. I’ve already checked, pivots, bushings for steering end trays and they’re all OK. I hope you can give me some tips.
Much obliged! Oslei - São Paulo - Brazil.

Hey Oslei, good to hear you're a fan of our channel. In regards to your problem, sway bars, control arms, coilovers, springs and body mounts are what I would inspect. Something sounds loose or worn out and is shifting causing the cracking sound. It sounds like it could be a metal on metal area rather than a bushing that might be squeaking. Figuring something like this out can be frustrating because it's not like you can reproduce it while you're under the rig examining things. Now, if you had access to a fork lift and you could get under the tires to flex the suspension and see if you can determine where the noise is coming from. You might also set something up or maybe there a loading dock curb you can drive up on to flex the suspension while a friend is outside watching and listening to get a clue what's causing the sound. I hope my suggestions help you figure it out. Happy Wrenching!

Thanks Timmy for the tips, it really is not easy to find out, I already took several specialists and Toyota itself and they could not find out! I will try to simulate as you suggested!
      thanks!@@TimmyTheToolman

@@osleimonteiro5726 Well, hopefully with a little flex simulation you and a buddy can figure it out. Let me know if you do.

I'm not sure what the differences are in the axles over the years.
