Who here thinks they should do an OG Doo Whop Shop reunion?

For the 10th anniversary yall should try to get the originals back too. I think that would be a nice reunion

Hey, this is Jake, the arranger and "Gaston" of the original Disney Medley. We've attempted it like three times over the course of three years. Nine songs-- all the classics, and a fee obscure gems. But we've never been able to make it work, schedule and time-wise. We all live so far apart now, it's tough to coordinate. But yeah, I don't know if we can set up a Patreon account for this or anything, because it's copyright material, but I might set one up. Do you think people would donate?

I don't know what amazed me more: the performance, or that I was so wrong in predicting who would sing each song. :P
I was also really wrong. I think the only new one I predicted right was Ruari singing Go the Distance.
It’s really hard to compete with the original doo wop shop group’s video, but this was excellent! So happy to see this continue

No lie, tbh it be great if you guys did your own medley instead of just redoing the one that happened 8(?) years ago. And with songs that match your personalities as well. It would be great to hear other disney songs since there are so many great songs. This is not a hate comment, you guys are a really great group and you sing so well! But I believe you can do so much better and I believe you guys are going to be great! ^-^
Cc G. If you don’t know this medley is a tradition to do since the original 2010 group did which is why they do it every year, not to mention this isn’t the only performance they do but I get what you’re saying.

As much as this amazes me, and as much as I love this, the OG doo wop shop will always prevail over the others. (Also this one felt rushed, which made it feel sloppy, and some of the solos were out of tune, and most of the “accents” and impressions weren’t that good.im a fellow musician so I’m just giving feedback, not trying to be mean) but nevertheless I still loved it!
sebastian arguello I don't think anyone will ever compare to the OG DWS!! They were more theatrical, more passion, and more comfortable performing...(which can really make or break you) However, I encourage you to keep trying, bc you are very good! And as always, OG or not, puts a smile on my face! Much respect!

I started at kpop song dance covers, went into wedding flash mobs, which led to disney flash mobs, then a college cafe Disney flash... musical? NOW IM HERE. I MEAN I DONT MIND HAHA THIS WAS GREAT
I love that they do the end part of gaston, that was always my favourite part of the song. it upset me that it got left out in the live action because of the story changes.

This inspired a friend and me to do a disney movie night, as we don't remember *any* of the movies, and have only watched a few, but we like this medley so much :)
Btw: we're German and have our own fairy tale movies here, so it's not unusual to know few disney films ^^

Can anyone tell me from which movies are each song? I didn't recognize most of them mostly bc I have seen all of these movies in spanish lol
Norma Carbajal Circle of Life (The Lion King), Go The Distance (Hercules), Wanna Be Like You (The Jungle Book), Strangers Like Me (Tarzan), I’ll Make a Man Out Of You (Mulan), Prince Ali (Aladdin), Gaston (Beauty & The Beast), Kiss The Girl (The Little Mermaid), and Part of Your World (The Little Mermaid). Really good !!! Is there a reason why the group sings always the same songs in each Disney Medley? There are so many songs from Disney. It's a pity to hear every year the same songs.
Arnaud Heymann This Medley was arranged by a Doo Wop Shop alum, and has become a very popular staple in our repertoire amongst people who hire us to do gigs! It’s also very difficult to arrange and learn new complex medleys such as this, and so consistently doing new ones would be near impossible for a collegiate group such as ourselves. We’re glad you enjoyed it!

I like the group there always amazing but why does every acapella group I’ve seen have their conductor on the side it’s rlly distracting for ppl trying to watch the actual performers
it's so that each member can see the conductor clearly without having to turn away from the audience :)

There's a bit too much deviation from the movies for this old lady lol, over all, great job, but may I suggest watching the original movies? I realize that most of these were before you guys were born... I give it a 96 out of 100 ;)

The choreography shouldn’t be louder than the singers
I'm sorry, though I'm hearing the good voices, but you should have picked different songs to match each of your personal styles instead of just doing the same mashup from the past... really it could have been better and I was hoping for more
Lunabey2Sky If you didn’t know they always do this mashup for tradition (because the past one was so popular) so they keep true to the 2010 version.
Alyssa Nguyen thanks for letting me know, but it doesn't change my mind about how the music could be for each person's different style instead of just keeping the same for past years... it doesn't even matter if all the songs change or stay the same if the match the voice who sings it and I do feel they have talent just this didn't show a lot of the guy's strengths and it shows

A decent job but no-where nearly as good as the group from 6 years ago. This group had too much of a gap between songs and most of them do not know how to project their voices. Keep practicing.
