I was in a choir clinic where the group voiceplay was teaching us how to do what they do. The low notes is interesting considering how geoff said that we bassists need to breathe in while singing at a very low decimal rate. With a microphone it makes it easier to hit the notes with minimal effort. Still though, Geoff is one of the few people who can pull it off with little effort.
It was chest because i cant here any fry and theres a smooth transition to the note so its not subharmonics and its not to breathy so its not a growl so if its not chest what could it be

G1 in chest voice? As far as I know, (and I've been watching Voiceplay for ages) the lowest chest note he's hit was C2 in their Aca Top 10 2014 Summer Hits during "Stay With Me" (number 5) and besides experience with Geoff's voice, my own vocal experience as well as beatboxing experience helps me distinguish singing and throat bass. If all that isn't enough, Geoff himself admitted that it was throat bass on one of Voiceplay's videos.
Hi Zyrus Smith , I've found a video where yo can look that in 5:21 and 5:56, there are two Geoff's lowest chest notes (G1 in White Christmas and Aca Disney.
The only thing that would have made this better is if Earl had slid up to the fourth at 2:35 to tie up that chord. This is so good though, I love all of the transitions, they're super smooth! Also, I replayed that bass note at least seven times it was so good sounding!
