Love your videos my brother. Keep them going. Spot on, why would you take short cut on your oil change. I do mine every 5000km religiously. I use liqui moly mologen 5w 40. The run naturally so warm that you cooking up that oil so quickly it’s critical to change your oil often. Great video my friend.
Thank you for the comment and I really appreciate the support messages I’ve been receiving. These engines are awesome but misunderstood and misdiagnosed by many.
Nice bro! I didn’t need to watch this but saw another video where there was a part in the bottom of the oil filter…mine doesn’t have it. Something that connected to the filter on the bottom. Anyways. 115k miles. Mine was well maintained bought it with 92k. She still runs insanely strong with stage 2 tune downpipes
I think this question has been asked alot of time but i know that you will answer it correctly, i have n63tu and i dont have any burn oil that some do complain about my car is only 70k km and am using amsoil signature oil 0w40, i wish that i can change it to 5w50 amsoil due to most of the year in my country is summer and really hot around 45c to 55c which i feel it could be better. Do you agree ? Ansoil signature is not recommended by amsoil but the spesification they want oil low saps to meet the cats on the car which has been replaced with high flow cats. Do you think that 0w50 is alot and i should stay using something like 5w30 or sustain using 0w40 ? Thank you for replying to our answers 😅
I am no expert in engine oil and would highly recommend you stick to the viscosity BMW recommends - I'm in Australia where the average temp is about 25c and only use a quality 5w40 in all my S63 engines. If your car isn't burning oil I'd say stick to the oil you are currently using or shift to a 5w40 (not 5w50)
Hi, yes ! About 1 litre per 1000kms is considered normal by BMW however, once they age your valve stem seals and CCC/PCV will cause the oil consumption to increase
I'm certain that these engines are definitely going to need a rebuild at some point however doing the oil change every 5k miles or 5-6.000kms should delay the wear and help controlling the high temps the engines generate.
🤣🤣🤣 if you put 10w60 on this engine you will certainly blow it up 🤣🤣 Stick to the oil BMW recommends - for the S63 engines is either 5w30 or 5w40. I do use 10w60 on my E60 M5 but that’s a completely different engine
@@dnl35projects bro with all do respect you have no idea . 10w60 is the only oil they put in my car from the dealer every time during guarantee and i also onlu put myself after guarantee . If you want i give you vin nr you can see in BMW historuy. Tje car doesnt take any oil between changes if you use 10w60 .

Awesome ! These cars are great
What a perfect place you live.
Thank you - Sydney is indeed a beautiful place to live !
Good content! Keep it coming! 👍
Thanks! Will do! I have a FULL engine rebuild video (S63b44) to upload, just trying to find time for edition ... Regards, Dan
@@dnl35projects Awesome, it would be very useful. I plan to do rod bearings and bottom end of the engine pretty soon.
Another great video!
Thank you !

Hi, yes it should fine as that car has an N63TU engine which is more reliable
Is 5,000 miles the gold standard?

@@dnl35projects Well I stick to 5k miles even for my N20, diy costs less than $100.
