- Here's my full band cover of me playing all the guitar parts, bass, and drums for Hotel California by the Eagles. I used 2 acoustic guitars, one with Nashville tuning strings and other with standard tuning to get the 12 string sound. I recorded, mixed, and edited the video and audio in my home studio with the following equipment:

Only mistake I saw was not using a 12 string ...damn them things are awesome.
+mickenoss He pretty much replicated a 12 string sound with the two acoustics. Not exactly but pretty damn close.
One mistake during second part of solo with the harmonic intervals. He doesn't do a technique called a pull-off to the second note.
two 6string acoustic guitars = 12 strings
Geronimo Apache One of the guitars is Nashville strung. That's why they sound like a 12 string combined
this is literally a instrumental version of hotel california like wtf everything was so accurate

In 40 yrs can you see anybody remembering a Niki Minaj or Justin Beeber song? Today's music is so disposable, yeah there was some corny music in the 70's but even songs by Captain and Tennille or Disco tunes, songs we used to laugh at still hold true today.Oh btw this is pretty darn incredible great work. we really enjoyed it!!!

Never saw before a guitar player able to play 12 strings by using a 6 string guitar with 2 differents set of strings, one with the low and other with the high ones to make the illusion to hear a 12 string guitar !!! All is perfect thank you !! Just to say, why fade away instead of the "BOM BOM BOM BOM for a strong ending...;-). Dude you play all Guitars tracks, Bass, Drums, and you did all perfect ! You've got everything, even the small tricks of brushed strings, which is the way of playing of Don Felder, and even Raoul Walsh could also hear to your job.. you didn't betray any single part of this Great Hotel California !! You're a great musician, i've listen carefully more than 10 times, and it's in my favorites now !! Congratulations, and i wish you a career in music as a huge multi instrumentalist !

Funny how this exact thing - to record a one man band version of hotel California always was my dream for, like, 10 years, ever since i bought my first guitar and started learning.
But it always was something nonessential compared to more seemingly important things at the moment *(Edit: excuses excuses. Honestly i was just too lazy to keep it up):*
Preparation for school finals, 6 years wasted on a masters degree only to work on a job not related to it.
And even though i love my job and am determined to build career here, i still sometimes look at that old dusty guitar when i visit my parents, thinking "alright let me finish this and that and I'll start practicing again".
I guess i really can check out any time i want, but can never leave.
Great job dude, you really brought something beautiful to this world and your dedication and skill deserves administration.
It even kinda warms and calms that my desire, even though thats not me playing.
