I'm watching it again and you speak about her voice, you know, keeping it up...she never warms up her voice or do any scales, she hates doing that, and yet, she opens her mouth and this wonderful sound comes out...she truly is THE greatest...unbelievable
Love Barbra's duets! Michael credits Barry Gibb for believing in him, by recording his first duet with Barry How Can You Mend a Broken Heart, in '03. Please check out Barry & Barbra's live duets Guilty & What Kind of Fool, from her backyard concert One Voice in '87. I think it's her best duets ever!
I recently discovered your channel and I am really enjoying it. Thank you for sharing this video duet of two very gifted singers. Streisand did a couple rock ballads in the late 1970's. My favorite is titled "Prisoner - Love Theme from the Eyes of Laura Mars". It is haunting . . . and would love to see your reaction. You'd be one of the first to react because most people don't know of it, but I gurantee you will be blown away, I promise. Thank you for considering this request. Sincerely, Louis Nelson | Los Angeles CA.
Such a great duet. I have visited New York in 2009 right after Christmas and for New Year, but the tree at Rockefeller was still up and so were many decorations. I hope to go back with my daughter one day.
Ah, this was fun seeing and hearing this song back to back in different times and styles. I don't think I've watched this one since it was first on in 2014. It blows me away that she still looks and sounds like this at 72! Remember in the other reaction you just did from 1966 she was only 24. She's incredible! I also thought the humor they added in between lines was fun too. Very vaudevillian in style. And yes, you'll discover she can sing in almost any style... country, classical, jazz, blues, disco, Broadway, pop, you name it! I have to tell you something you might be surprised to hear, but she's always said she doesn't do anything special for her voice, no special pampering whatsoever. And she hates warming up. She finds it boring! Lol! She said she heard Celine wouldn't talk all day before a concert to save her voice. Barbra thought that would be impossible for her. She says she can't keep her mouth shut! Lol! On the flip side though, she has said in more recent interviews that she tries not to take her voice for granted, that it is a God-given gift. BTW, the other male singer you were trying to remember was Harry Connick Jr. He and Michael keep that old crooner style/Sinatra-like sound alive today. Thanks for another fun watch, Saeed! (You grew up watching "Home Alone 2"?! That was in the early '90s! You're still so young! Ha!)
Its interesting how different artists prepare for a show. Yes! That was the singer. Definitely want to explore his music as well. I was born in 1987 so the 90's was really the decade that formed me as a person i believe. Lot of nostalgia looking back on that decade. As i got older and grew to love cinema i did go back to the 70's and 80's movies that i also really love. Thanks for watching. Have a great day!
On her 2014 album "Partners," Barbra duets with Michael Buble', John Mayer, Billy Joel, Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, Babyface, Blake Shelton, Andrea Bocelli, John Legend, Elvis Presley, Josh Groban, and her son Jason Gould. You should react to at least some, if not all, of these duets. My favorite duets from the album are "I Still Can See Your Face" with Andrea Bocelli, and "How Deep Is The Ocean" with Jason Gould.
So glad you enjoyed this one too, Saeed. Barbra has three albums of nothing but duets with some of the greatest ever, and rumor has it she's working on her 4th now, to be released early 2025. And yes, she can sing just about any genre... she's done Broadway, Classical, Jazz, R&B, Soft Rock, Pop, Disco, and even some Reggae and Country, so when people here tell you you're in for a ride, you most definitely are! Michael Buble is a fantastic crooner in the mode of a contemporary Sinatra, and yes, Harry Connick, Jr. too. He's got many more than just one album though, 11, I believe. And he's going to be one of the new judges on The Voice this season, along with Snoop Dogg, Gwen Stefani, snd Reba McIntire. Thanks again, Saeed...🤗
I enjoyed this so much! Amazing to see and hear. Wow! So many albums and songs! Hope to explore more of all these artists. Thanks again for this request, Donna. Have a wonderful day!
Love your reactions to Barbra as you go on the incredible journey of her career. She can certainly sing in many styles. Check out a song she covered called Try to win a friend. A previously unreleased track available only on audio so no video of her singing it live Its Barbra singing in a country style! Great cover.
Witty Saeed? The future is in the past.😂😅 O this is so stunning. So smooth. Whilst closing my eyes I pictured couples ballroom dancing. TX Saeed. Appreciate you. Greetings from South Africa
Hi Saeed! They had duetted on this tune for her 2014 album "Partners". Barbra has done a total of ~45 duets over the years, including Judy Garland, Celine Dion, Ray Charles, Donna Summer, Kim Carnes, Vince Gill, Bryan Adams, Willie Nelson, Andrea Boccelli, Josh Groban ... et al. And, of course Barry Gibb. Thanks for the fun watch this evening. Your "back to the future" analogy made me laugh out loud! 😅
Enjoyed this duet. Michael Bubles has that great crooner voice like the one and only Frank Sinatra who she did a duet with called I've Got a Crush On You. One of my favorite Barbra duets is called If You Ever Leave Me with Country singer Vince Gill
@@stevearino7239 Hi Steve. You know how highly our Barbra is a stickler for the truth, so I try to be as accurate as possible. The Barbra Archives is a great resource! 😉

Every time you mention Belgium I think of my Mom who we lost a few years ago - She was born in Antwerp or some spell it Antwerpen. I wish we could have visited her country at some point but we never could manage it.
We say Antwerpen, indeed. I was just there a week ago. Great city. If you ever visit Belgium, Bruges and Ghent are nice cities too. A lot of history. Sorry to hear about the loss of your mom.
Barbra has done so many great duets. Michael is awesome and he really should do more reviews of him. Also, Kelly Clarkson can sing anything. Check out her Meaning of Life performance. Kelly is also doing great duets with a lot of folks. Her most recent collab was with Teddy swims on Lose Control.
Totally agree about Kelly...best voice to come along since Barbra imo... and they happen to share the same birthday...April 24... but 40 years apart.😉 Barbra's one of Kelly's idols.
That was so good! Two consummate performers, at their best. I love that you're exploring Barbra Streisand. You're really on a roll with some of my favorite artists of all time.
