QSC is one of the three major amplifier brands with Crown and Lab Gruppen. QSC is a specialist in amplifiers and we audio technical rental service providers do not expect this brand for anything else. Everyone has their own job, these brands that want to do everything like Yamaha are hellish. Regarding QSC, the brand has never manufactured a single loudspeaker and like some other assemblers, does not say who manufactures its loudspeakers, it is incredible. Each one its work.
They use Celestion drivers most of the time. The woofers and compression drivers have stickers that in a plain font say it right on the transducers even though there are no branding logos or anything. IIRC the HPR's used B&C throughout most production batches but it's been awhile.
Great video, pro-class. Just like Q-SYS and QSC Audio Gear. I was considering using in out upcoming film-video post-production screening room some of the newfangled Dolby Laboratories 126 and 128 model 3-way Cinema Loudpeakers, but now will likely stay with QSC Cinema gear.
Bought 16 of the 12’s and 6 of the 8’s. I use them as my front fills with my Nexo M46 rig. They work really well with them, but I couldn’t see my self trusting them with throwing to the back of a larger venue.
The 12 has two compression drivers instead of the 8's one. Is it more dynamic than the 8, even if we have either model deployed per the venue size? In other words, does each model sound similar enough (stereo 8's in a smaller space, provided no fills are used vs 12's in a larger space) or is more HF a plus all things considered?
I am not sure on this measurement. I have some side fill single units on poles at a church right not and it throw's 60t to the side walls clear as a bell.
8:14 it looks like the bottom grill is dented???? 8:53 if this is the case people should be selling their EVs and buying these QSCs as the look more compact and as you say more punch. Does anyone have an opinion ??
Yes more punch and detail. Throws far and clear. Double the price of EVs though. My best boxes. No dents yet! Trap boxes have their purposes too. Depends on the app.
@@DallasBarr wild and crazy. But they really do sound better after a few hours of burn-in. Not to mention…that’s a lot of trust to pull them out of the cardboard and throw them up for a show. QSC is my box of choice…but I’ve gotten a bad one right out of the box before
Man good to know. Used these 4 3 times. I should open and run the other 4 before slamming them at a festival in 2 weeks. Great tip. I can't believe how sweet these are. So detailed and rich sounding.
They sure do. 15inch etx 150 feet. I have a vide in a field for a music fest where I was at least 300 feet away and it was clear as a bell, just quieter than being up close of course. My best boxes. Double the price of ETx tho!
Just lost my comment ahhh. Don't feel like retyping it all. Never heard L Acoustics but it's right there with that sharp sparkle like JBLs and EV arrays do. No dents yet. No case or totes available yet either.
And I did mention in my credits that the Etx15 seemed to be louder listening to Trax then the QSC so I raised the fader a tad on that Matrix to match but I had the input at -4 so if I changed it to the other setting, +24, they would be way louder. Sond better, throws further, more expensive!
realistically you can't compare these new qsc boxes to something like l-acoustic line array boxes. L-acoustics are much higher end boxes in terms of sound quality, build, and expense.
Utterly bad video and content! Look at the way that you treat your equipment! You just pulled that brand new speaker over the flight case when unboxing! And when you put the first speaker on the stand you basically scratched the entire bottom of the speaker trying to find the pole to place it on! This video is a horrible tutorial/how to video! You should maby consider taking care of your equipment if you want it to take care of you! And with all due respect sir im 18 years old and I've had the privilege of working with QSC speakers for the last 4-5 years and this made me so sad and angry at the same time because not only do you damage your own or your company's equipment, you also deliver a bad service to your clients! 😢 Goodluck sir, and this is not an insult on a personal level this is just a concerned viewer asking you to take pride in your line of work.

How are the QSC LA112's holding up? Still recommend them or you would purchase different brand if you did it all over? Thanks

He needs to sharpen that Friday the 13th Jason Knife.
Haha! It's not mine it was Marc's, and after the video he said he uses the other side point as it's so dull! 😅
I don’t like how they were wobbling around so much was that a QSC stand that goes with them?
I personally wouldn't have used them and just waited to get the right stands because of how much they wobbled it is a major safety hazard
@@kailumgg7736 These are EV Telescopic stands. Use all the time no issues.

Man these throw really far. Was outside. Could hear clearly like 400 ft.
@@slofty I guess. Ive noticed that the 8’s seem to fatigue after a few hours, where the 12’s keep their clarity.
@@EpicenterEvents That makes sense. Thanks for sharing.
What kind of speaker stand are you using?
First time I yelled at my TV in years watching you unpackaged that thing FFS!!!
Haha yea! Hope I triggered someone with that amateur knife wielding.
I'm with you, brother. 🤦🏽♂️
Read the instructions..🫣🫣🫣🥴🥴🥴😤😤😤
Love love QSC MEN
I got 4 the same but still on the box I just open one and tested at home sounds nice
I was das event fan they are good too but too heavy
Congratulations! Happy for you.
A doubt, How long can a single LA112 unit throw sound. 30 feet? 100 feet?
I am not sure on this measurement. I have some side fill single units on poles at a church right not and it throw's 60t to the side walls clear as a bell.
I was thinking of upgrading my k12.2 system well say no more. I am 1000% sold
Totally different class. Way longer throw but as any line array, not any coverage over to the sides!
NOW, THAT'S A KNIFE!!!

So you ran those on a gig without burn-in?
Yes dude! I thought about it and am a wild guy I guess. Figured it was ok because Jazz man. Jazz.

What a mess of a video. Please unbox things before you start if you are going to fumble all over the place with the box etc
Lot of weight on a pole
