Nice vlog, really enjoyed and loved it. Nice interesting way to entertain guests while onboard cruises at sea, would love to see more coasters maybe built on Disney Cruises, maybe a Rock N Rollercoaster one? Lol, can always dream for big coaster enthusiasts? Nice pov that footage, looks like something I maybe ride & experience? But if not? Maybe just film off ride footage of it if running? Hopefully this is the start of something new? More coasters and attractions onboard cruises, would love P&O to build coaster on a long duration ferry maybe? Bit much, but could be a good suggestion? I always fancy going on a cruise ship. I love the fact you are seeing the world whilst all your accommodation and entertainment, shops, bars, restaurants etc are travelling with you. In this case you have a roller coaster too.

I've wanted to see what cruises in the Baltic and Mediterranean are like and I've also wanted to see what European river cruises are like, so if you're thinking of going on any of those you can already count me as a viewer 😅

Well, I believe that this Maurer Rides Spike Coaster on a Carnival cruise ship could be count as a coaster credit to me but I would hope to ride this one time. Maybe the future Royal Caribbean cruise ships can benefit to install one of the Spike Coasters as well and it might be the first roller coaster on sea to feature inversions.

This design of coaster would be the easiest to create a Roller Coaster Network of, in the same venue. This is because the risks of collision when transferring between layouts would be much, much lower. The vehicle's movement is so tighly coupled with the track (as a rack and pinion) that it is about the most Powered Coaster type in existence!
Whilst I do not know of quick operation points/switches on Maurer track, they would enable riders to board without being under time pressure, and then join one of the layouts when the moving block signalling system permits them.

Is there no doors on it? 😯 looks like it’s open so you could fall off? From the model of the car onboard. I worked for royal Caribbean as a lead singer in the production for 6 years so it brings back a lot of memories for me and the muster stations 😢 miss it very much. But can’t have lil ones and work onboard 9 months a year

If the boat's pitch didn't affect it as much, everything else is completely normal. I'm sure the salt doesn't help. I think cautionary tale would be the wrong turn of phrase, it's just an interesting experiment. They might only last 10-15 years and then either replaced or removed entirely as part of a major overhaul to other spaces to keep the Mardi Gras and her sisters up to date

Yes it's something you've got to do when on that Liner. But really it looked pretty tame and having to pay a extra $15.....well honestly I think the Aquacoasters (free, as many times as you like)...are far better than this.
This is not the first time I have emphasised that the Maurer design has unintentionally brought an era of toe dipping inclusivity in thrill rides, even more within reach.
No longer would anyone who is curious but very anxious about exploring roller coaster elements be faced with having an entire experience forced on them at an excessive intensity even when they found they really didn't like it.
First the rack and pinion powered coasters... then tire drive and LSM propelled 'genuine' roller coasters could follow.
No large drops and inversions in real life - yet - but Maurer has concept videos of exactly these. Although the concept designs are not rider controlled, I see no reason why they should not be.

This coaster model is a mess. The one at Mirabilandia has never worked properly in 4 years, it stays completely closed most of the time and the days it is operating it works for a couple of hours at best and then it shuts down

@@ThemeParkWorldwide Yeah, I can confirm what diegoavventura said. From only, this August, that one of Mirabilandia is finally re-open but only during the afternoon ( I don't know in this previous recent days ), for a couple of hours, and with a not good hourly capacity.

It was!
On a cruiseship? Yes. But for the model, is the third. First in Germany, the second in Italy at Mirabilandia the duelling version, and this is the third.
Probably the worlds most expensive coaster cred lol ! Glad you got on it but tbh I don’t see the point of it being there, those Maurer Spike coasters are not the most reliable are they and to have one on a ship is just silly, can’t operate in wind, cant operate on bad weather, can’t operate with the ship swaying…….pointless and a huge waste of money lol
It was barely operational during our cruise so I’m glad we managed to get it at least once!

Separate class of coaster. Very good ride but for completely different reasons to any other coaster.
You pay all that money to go on a cruise then pay that much extra to ride a ride that lasts seconds .
It’s an up charge ride, but worth it for a unique coaster on the sea!
I usually count powered coasters as credits... but this is a tracked flatride in my opinion, not a coaster.

Considering you’re on a ship, with those operating restrictions - it must be closed the majority of at sea time. Pretty pointless.

Unfortunately on ride filming wasn’t allowed on Bolt. We’ve got a 6 part series starting over on our second channel though!
Pay extra to ride ? No way ,Cruises USED to be all inclusive and for the high prices you pay to cruse it’s defiantly NOT worth it these days when they are ADDING all the extra fees for different things on the cruise ! Coming soon you will have to pay a fee to go off the ship at a destination port day !😡
