I knew the wait would be long for the water coaster…..but 3 HOURS?!? They should’ve replicated it twice like some of the slides!! Maybe it’s too big to build a second one, but that’s a LONG WAIT!! (I would’ve guessed an hour!).
Luckily you don’t have to wait in an actual queue for it!
Charlotte you are smarter than me! I went in that fast river with my family. They loved it but i had a panic attack. I literally had to be carried out of it! Never again 😂

Bit of a bugger you can't film on the slides at the park. Hardly worth it really but the rest of the park looks fantastic. We don't really have much in the way of water parks in Australia except for Wet and Wild in Queensland.
Are you vlogging the Disney water parks an aquatica on this trip?

Sun cream tip... Apply 20 minutes b4 exposure and reapply every 4 hours ;) looks wonderful
Oof lockers have gone up a lot ! I paid 14 dollars when I went in 2019
Shawn due to medical issues I can only wear flip-flops, and I have a pair of Reef & a pair of Skechers both about £40 and after 6 years they are still both perfect, even with daily wear. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Shawn isn't fat he's big boned haha . He rocking out well he said he was losing weight and him and Charlotte looking great and get some suntans

I love Volcano Bay but I was really hoping they wouldn’t be like Disney….which almost never adds to their waterparks. The waterpark has been around 6 years now….I’d like to see an expansion soon…
Yeah I guess space is quite limited here too!

We hated Volcano Bay when we went. It was very crowded, queues were far too long, a lot of messing about with that tapu tapu stuff, not a lot of shade and so much more that I can't think of. It may have changed in the 6 years since but wouldn't rush back. Much preferred Aquatica.
Yes, I found it the same as yourself when visiting not long after it opened. But having watched a fair few reviews it does look like they've ironed out a few niggles, thus would love to go there again. But I also agree to preferring Aquatica.

What day did you go to volcano bay? I was there Saturday it was so busy over 300 min wait for the water coaster, but unfortunately I flew home today 😢. Hope you have a great time!

Volcano bay is a great water park. One of my tips would be what you suggested later on in the video, walk straight round to Krakatoa, get your wait time, then use the lockers next to it. Always for water parks you are better using the lockers at the rear of the park as everyone always heads to the one at the front.
My last trip to volcano bay I left my phone and all valuables at the hotel (was staying at universal endless summer), came in wearing my trunks with a tshirt and a change of clothes and towel in my bag (and some water). Then just leave the towel and bag on the seat and then you don’t have to rent a locker. Only thing of real value to steal would have been the park ticket but they need your finger print so that isn’t going to get them anywhere
We were there last week! There is a third even smaller locker option at $14. We just stuck phones and wallets in one of them and left everything else at the sunbeds.
That’s good to know, when we asked a team member we were told only about these two options!
Absolutely love Volcano Bay. My favourite is the lazy river with the life jackets. Love the soundtrack of the park throughout the day and the upgraded sun beds with personal lockers much recommended. Makes me want to go back so much 😢

I preferred aquatica to volcano bay, volcano bay too crowded and the queuing system is awful. Aquatica is so much better in my eyes, shorter queues, better atmosphere
I prefer Aquatica too. But VB is still very good.
Know that this is not a fashion Chanel, however, I would just like to say that Charlotte 's choice of swimwear, is always fab and perfectly accommodates each and every occasion... Understand that you can't advertise generally, simply, please give a hint as to where your Volcano Bay ensemble came from. You look fab! X

We love volcano bay, best waterpark in our opinion. Always get a private cabana and for an upper level one that takes max 8 costs about $350 for the day (in October) but you get a place to chill, a locker included, a welcome hamper including fresh fruit pastries and a cake. You also get a mini fridge full of bottled water and a personal server who will bring food and cocktails to your cabana so you don't have to queue.
Lastly you have your own tapu tapu screen so you can book rides without walking round!
Don’t underestimate the not so lazy river, we tried to get out on the exit part and the current took us around again 😂 it was good fun though and Volcano Bay is by far the best waterpark there in my opinion!

We went last May (2022) we got quoted $800 for a standard cabana for the day! Crazy expensive
I stayed in the tower once. Amazing view but when they pressure wash the Waterpark at 2am it's very loud

Loved this vlog, really amazingly themed and immersive park with an epic looking Volcano, well from one angle anyway and agree that they should add theming to exposed structures on the back where water slides are and where lazy river goes underneath. Looks ugly, yeah needs theming there I think, shame your not allowed to film on rides, not even allowed to film with a go pro or action camera? Its getting a joke now, I don't see the harm with filming on rides, coasters, slides etc. Especially with either a chest mount, head mount or arm mount. I just don't get it, should be allowed really to be honest, via both go pro's & action cameras with mounts should be allowed, but with phones and cameras, nope can 100% understand as could get broken or damaged. But go pro's should be allowed surely especially as that is what they are designed for. Nah, 100% loads of rubbish rule, well done for Charlotte attempting water coaster, at least you gave it a go which is main thing, if you don't want to ride or experience anymore, at least you can say you have tried it. But cheers for another good vlog, really again enjoyed and look forward for more vlogs in future. 😀👍

Agree on how expensive Orlando is now. We were there in March and it’s just so expensive. We had a condo so could cook, I can’t imagine how much we would have spent if eating out . Still love it though 😀

Went here just a couple of months after it opened. It was too manic then with too many people in the park. Now it looks quite a bit better with niggles ironed out. I do like the Virtual queue system but still cannot understand why the queue times are so long. Anyway, my tip is to station base yourself very near the Taniwah tube riding slides, it is also close to the Aquacoaster and 2 rivers.
I.just went to volcano bay yesterday and I had a blast
I think if you are staying in Universal....you could beat the long queues by getting there early or late in the day just for a hour or two.

Yes, the cost of lockers is ridiculous. Like parking costs, they know they've got you and then advertise that they haven't put the price up for entry. That saying it is possible to not to get a locker at all but that means reducing your items down to a minimum and ideally set up a base with a very large towel or picnic blanket / similar .. get two loungers...push them together, lay your covers on them and put your minimal items underneath. No one is gonna steal run of the mill items.

Shawn if you ever go by Kentucky Kingdom (If herschend can keep it afloat[feels like only Ed Hart can keep it open haha]) you gotta do deep water dive.. Nearly the same height trap door slide.. but its open air.. you have no water in your face and you feel like you're freefalling with no harness or anything cause the water messes your sense of touch on the side

as someone who fears water on my face I understand Charlottes fear of the water rides but well done Charlotte for braving it so proud of you
that way of saying see it say it sort it as they do on the uk trains and me and my partner are planning US next year I am nervous as I done all the short hauls never done Long hauls first time be on the bigger and better roller coasters any tips can give me to keep me chilled and relax as this would be my first time has I love theme parks even tho I am 31 and my partner older than me just big kids my partner been plenty of times over the years wonder if I bump into the celbraties lol GET OUT THEIR AND KEEP ON RIDING ! Thank you guys for your content all the others are boring and dull and clueless sometimes but you guys do everything to get the an nervous person or person not been before you guys gave me strength the highest coaster I have done is 325ft Vecoka SLE at Fanstey island the head banging riding but not as bad as Infusion lol ONE TIP OF ADVICE SHAWN DO NOT BUY PRIMARK CHEAP AND NASTY AND DONT LAST TWO SECONDS LOL I was laughing when I saw that bit of footage lol so funny
Absolutely love this place. Florida theme parks used to be my best holidays ever but after stayin at land of legends in turkey this year I prefer that place, probably the best holiday I’ve ever had.

the aqua duck and aqua mouse are actually considered kiddie rides if you ever ride them. they are so short. you basically get one minute of decent fun then boring.

I lost my sunglasses last year in that not so lazy river😂😂 right at 27:15 with the wave, so blimmin funny, such a great waterpark. Glad you both had a great day, quite right about the lockers too! 😊
I've never quite understood why they and other Waterparks have allowed any kind of Spectacles in any of the waters. Yet, very often they don't allow goggles on many slides. I know why this is ( I.e damaging the slides may cause Splinters...nasty). Yes some baffling rules at times.

Charlotte, I am SO PROUD OF YOU!!! Just in the short time I've been following along, you have bravely conquered so many of your fears! Running through a waterfall that is gushing water down onto you nonstop, is no small feat! But then, actually getting on the water slide/coaster is something you yourself should be extremely proud of! I also love how encouraging and proud that Shawn is of you! Him constantly building you up and just telling you, and all of us, how proud he is of you, is absolutely lovely!

I've worn those type of flip flops Shawn and same thing happens to mine. But...good thing about them is you can tuck them into your Swim Shorts at the top...half in half out....on some of the water rides . I've done this in the past. Also if you have tieable cord...you could tie them onto your shorts as well.

Great vlog, any thoughts about going back to the UAE? I went earlier this year and it’s absolutely fascinating! I went to movie gate and it was a brilliant park but absolutely deserted which I thought was very strange for something that has clearly been heavily invested in. Also I went to IMG world of Adventures which was weird being completely covered and I felt that it was a little too dark and dingy although a couple of the rides were good. My favourite rides were the how to train your dragon coaster, The Madagascar coaster, cloudy with a chance of meatballs river ride, spider man coaster and the velociraptor coaster which were all amazing coasters. On the other hand though some of the attractions were absolute cack like the ghostbusters ride and hotel Transylvania ride which seemed to want to be fantastical ‘e ticket’ dark rides- and they definitely have the foundations for it- but just completely fall flat on their faces

Agreed. Aquatica for drop slides, Volcano Bay for Krakatao, Fearless River and family raft rides and Typhoon Lagoon for the wave pool.
@@PaulM78 They all have great positives. I just find the VB drop slides really aggressive and not a fun experience.

I can’t remember if you mentioned that Volcano Bay doesn’t supply towels? I stayed at The Hard Rock Hotel Orlando in May 2022 and I was advised by the staff there to take one of theirs. I do hope that’s changed since I was there?

Yes, i agree the Fast Rivers here and at Aquatica are the best fun, plus at the one in Aquatica you can do either of wearing the life vest or not. Both ways are super fun.
