That's just how it goes sometimes. Certain levels of jank are so far "beneath" meta their interactions just slip under the cracks entirely.
I think the only problem with this challenge is that half the people in the bottom ranks are just veterans that haven't played in months

@@mattyorshinSame lol. Was down to bronze so I turned my 40 card deck into a 60 pile with a bunch of random fun-ofs, so it feels less like beating up kittens.
I just choose to stay in Silver-Gold range cause I encounter significantly less loser meta shit than I would once I get anywhere that’s Diamond+ lol, plus I only run pure archetypes with no hand traps whatsoever

im so casual i dont usually play rank or just stay bronze/silver.
its sad that when i just wanna play(rank) for fun i ended up facing meta build decks.
my old pals stop playing this game so i dont have anyone to play casual with and playing solo is depressing.
I was listening to the pulls and started thinking "This sounds familiar, did I see this video already?", then I saw the account name and realized I played against you on ladder. No wonder the whole game I was just thinking "what is this jank deck this man's playing".
Maybe i am not understanding it well, but in the long run this doesnt seem sustainable. You get 10 packs of a secret, but unlike pokemon, you cant build upon them like the pokemon are leveled up. If anything you will lose more cards with synergy by the 30th duel than u had in the first one.
It's literally a reverse masochist - you start with a strategy and you slowly lose your cards ..
I think you should be able to go into any secret pack if you win. Also, you could open 10 master packs in the beginning just to unlock secret packs from that episode and get the occassional interesting generic card. As you stated, the master packs are not very useful. Also, a single secret pack from random archtypes are not going to make good strategies. You are going to just slowely lose your tenyi engine, with no way to replenish it, then you'll just be playing a pile. If you can't reasonably add to your strategy as fast as you lose cards, it will be like a reverse masochist, where instead of watching you improve a bad pile of cards into a good deck, we'll see a bad slightly more cohesive deck degrade into a bad pile of cards. I think if you want to do a challenge where your deck degrades in quality over time, you'd need to start with a significantly stronger deck, like a constructed meta deck and see how long it takes to lose it. If you want to improve the deck over time, you need a way to gain resources at least as fast as you are losing them. At the moment, the series has potential, but I think you should re-evaluate the rules. I will say I enjoyed this episode and love your content, this is just my suggestion.

Something that could be really cool for this series (not sure how it'd work), if whenever you rank up into a different tier, so from silver -> gold etc. you have to duel one of your "rivals" aka MBT or Dzeef or some other content creator.

I had dozens of games against Blue-Eyes, DM, and even decks built around the *STARTER* Decks in *DUELIST CUP.* ...Literally the next day at the same DL I didn't see a single non-meta deck, almost zero people below Platinum, and one that was in *MASTER TIER.*
I thought it was gonna be, if a monster is destroyed by battle, it would get dismantled.

I feel that dismantling cards should be whenever you go down a rank because best of ones feel more luck dependent. Maybe you get a pack for 5 wins per rank? To expand this idea it would be like the first 5 wins you get a pack for winning, but after that you don't win a pack till your next rank up.

When I got back into the game the tenyis had just been reprinted in the mega tins. Bought the whole deck for 20$. Awesome combos with shaman and mare mare. However, with my terrible theory crafting, I was summoning five headed link dragon as my ultimate combo.

Tenyis are pretty beginner friendly as far as Synchro/Link strats go. Yang Zings not so much though, missing the timing with those things can be annoying sometimes.
