As a swordsoul player, it genuinely hurt my soul watching the bot just refuse to make any swordsoul plays, they had an absolutely cracked hand and just refuse to play properly.
the funniest thing about swordsoul was that it could consistently blow through shaman/3x monk turn 1 and then it wouldn't have a choice but to synchro. so the deck just activated after turn 1 basically
The issue was that it wanted to use shaman to infinitely recycle monks until the end of times with their top decks. This only stopped when it randomly blew up their shaman with blackout (twice).
I assume the bot just doesn't recognize which of the targets is on the field and which are in the graveyard. Or it doesn't have a priority to keep it in the field.
I do wonder what sort of bots are being used since I feel like a basic machine learning especially with some training data should be able to do slightly better in terms of destroying own cards or banishing own access code
@@U1TR4F0RCE The bots r EDOPro’s Feeling Lucky AI which from what I can tell has been trained to activate as many effects as possible. Their deck-specific bots r pretty good imo but they were trained for their deck exactly and switching them to other decks confuses them
Maybe if it has a banish target in the graveyard with the same attribute as itself, it prioritizes banishing that one first, so it can't banish itself the same turn. It probably only banishes itself if it doesn't
Someone tell Farfa that he can actually do bot tournaments in Master Duel provided he uses the offline client It'd be interesting to see a bot tournament where the bot doesn't completely fumble with some decks, though yeah it'd be not as funny
nah offline master duel ai is too retarded 95% of duel they will only set 1 monster and put backrow pass at least in edopro they have some scripted ai in some decks

I'm pretty impressed with the Duel Links Auto-Duel AI right now. This AI literally can't see half a step ahead. That it used Called By on Ash was already a huge surprise.
I felt like watching a duelist break down, man. It didn't want to play the swordsoul part of the deck, but in the end it had to... Pretty sad state of affairs imo
The problem with the AI is that it'll ALWAYS attempt an available play; weather it's bad or not. I think the bots would unironically do better in older formats like Goat or Edison

I prayed so hard for the VW AI to draw kowloon once while it had 4 gates on field. Just seeing it summon like 3 of the VW bosses for free would have been so amazing.
I should expect it.... but watching the bot play is really stressful. Especially the final match the Xuanwu to Chenchen every turn. Anyway great tournament 10/10 will watch again!
The bot that tribute summoned Nibiru was simply too smart to be lured into activating Nib and losing the game to an attack position token. True 5Head play.
The Plot for this was Heart Pumping, as we watched Swordsoul master the art of Tenyi Control. It expertly maneuvered through the tournament, you able to see glimpses of the Bot learning, until the ending arrived, and you saw them finally show what they've learned, summon Qixing Longyuan for Game!
If the AI plays Earth Machine, they just spam link summons and avoid xyz all together before ending on two Double Headed Anger Knuckle and passing. It's pretty funny to see AI pilot decks
Give the AI a deck like Synchron. Can almost promise you they'll set up hourly or actually get it correct. Because that deck sorta has the type of thing an AI could probably comprehend.
It felt like the AI either prioritizes link monsters and is rabidly summoning them whenever there’s a possible link summon, hence the adventure monsters into knightmare and accesscode into balelynx, and/or the Swordsoul bot can’t recognize that it will get a synchro from the Mo Ye effect so it doesn’t consider that an option and continues to see tenyi summons and barrels down that path.
I would love to see what the bots would do with Solfachord or Gusto, do they even know how to pendulum or use all the different Gusto effects correctly?
Its always amusing that the bot cant comprehend normal a salad into balelynx to trigger parralel, but the moment it gets a handtrap its just immediately dropped in attack mode to summon almiraj.

i've totally seen like a thai server edopro did some coding to make the ai did a fixed combo line and they made them did the mermaid orcust combo into savage dragon + orcust board and those bot at least know how to pilot the deck and doesn't just combo all resources into unicorn spin self pretty sure the devs just doesn't care tbh
The bots on this program know how to do the combos for the decks that it comes with (including the Mermaid/Orcust combo you mention). It just doesn't use any of that logic for other decks.
Watching this makes me wonder how much of meta Yugioh is playing unique archetypes and how much of it is just playing Punks, Dagda, Token stuff, Magicians Souls, Nibiru, and Branded.

I was so proud of the bot for doing an Insane combo summoning access code talker! Then I immediately became disappointed the moment I witnessed it banish itself.. it was so close to doing a combo. RIP Accesscode Talker
The main problem is that the bots have no sense of "cost" so they'll discard their key combo pieces, pop their own cards, and use their boss monsters as material. Also, they have no concept of "gameplan" so they mess up any search, and pull the trigger on any quick effects or traps ASAP. The best bot deck would feature completely reactive cards that don't pay cost, and single-purpose monsters it can't misplay. A rank-4 toolbox with gadgets, kagetokage, tin goldfish, etc. and basic traps like mirror force and bottomless would do well I think.
The zeke guy isnt in the description.. dunno who to look for... also I LOVE THESE.. would be an amazing monthly.. but should be bigger and with more deck variety and you can even have 2 shout casters lmao... you and mbt would be great or with sir emmanon

There needs to be at least 1 Gren Maju deck in every tournament, there's no way a bot could mess that up

In some of these you need to draw the perfect hand and the AI must brick or over commit on the first turn to have any chance.
