Yeah, tour life can be hard... It's why only the best persist and bring the energy EVERY time! I'm still an OAA fan for life, their guitars are, in my opinion, some of the most technical in the genre. They're still an inspiration to me.

I guess I’m one of the few, but I’ve been a fan for awhile and I don’t see anything wrong with the vocals. For touring he did the highs and lows well. He’s a lot better than a lot of live vocalists. My opinion he even sang the cleans pretty well in most of the songs except when he kept pulling the mic from his face. I think he’s just not confident in what he is capable of yet. I don’t think he sounds bad when you can hear him.
Everytime he has to sing a high or loud clean note he strategically pulls the mic away from his mouth to mute it. Thats what it looks like anyway. Good on the harsh vocals though.
that’s what every metalcore clean singer does look up videos of motionless in white. Doesn’t mean they’re bad, they just know if they’re gonna fuck something up that it would be better to not make the song sound bad

He has a false chord like Trevor from Black Dahlia Murder. James Harrison has a broad range of metal vocals that Jake will never match.

Ironically, the lowest tuning of this is Jake's highest. They can't tune down. This was an old performance. He does it better now just like how he did when he was performing with the band for the first time.

Second chorus in escapist he killed it. But he uses the microphone distance thing too much. Even if on the album versions of hansha, if he did use falsetto, he shouldn’t bother trying it live. The guys projected voice is incredible and all I see in these videos is him not being confident enough to just use his projected voice, which again is FUCKING AMAZING. Idk.

If you check out Jakes instagram he addresses this day specifically. There was a major language barrier and it was the last day of a very long tour. On top of that it was an immensely long drive out of the way. Yeah this date sounds bad but if you look at any other live videos he’s on top of shit.

If you check out Jakes instagram he addresses this day specifically. There was a major language barrier and it was the last day of a very long tour. On top of that it was an immensely long drive out of the way.
