😮 Appalling Lack of Safety displayed when working around a very heavily strained winch cable. The guy that "owns" the trailer has near no regard for how that cable, or for that matter the snatch block being used, could potentially decapitate him, if hook broke or cable snapped. Looked like the winch control was not via a remote control to enable one to stand back a safe distance from the cable and snatch block. I have seen the results of an old snatch block failing. Sheeve pivot pin broke, and pully went, not just through rear window of towing vehicle, BUT then through front windscreen; after making quite a mess of steering wheel it clipped on way though vehicle. Just because you have "got away alive and uninjured" every time you have done some task, does not mean this time you won't get injured or worse kill someone else near by.
Correction to my above comment. After relooking at video, I do find it difficult to tell whom is working winch, as camera does not clearly show that end of trailer. One gent may have a remote control. However my point above still applies. That winch cable is heavily loaded, and I certainly dont see the level of caution around it, +50years of training and work has taught me to have and maintain.
@@davidbroadbent2529 We had nothing to do with the gentleman picking up the dozer. It was his trailer and he did have a remote for it. Thanks for the concern, all was well.
