  • Determine™ HIV Early Detect - The new standard in HIV point of care testing. By quickly and accurately identifying HIV positive patients earlier, you can increase case finding and facilitate fast and appropriate linkage to care.
Determine HIV Early Detect is an in vitro, visually read, qualitative immunoassay for the detection of antibodies (Ab) to HIV-1 and HIV-2 and the detection of non-immunocomplexed (free) HIV-1 p24 antigen (Ag) in human capillary and venous whole blood, plasma, or serum.
The 4th generation Determine™ HIV Early Detect test detects more acute infections compared to 2nd and 3rd generation tests. This helps close the window period and enables increased case finding at a time when individuals are highly infectious. Determine™ HIV Early Detect provides accurate results in just 20 minutes and can be run using fingerstick whole blood, venipuncture whole blood or serum/plasma.
The test is for professional use only and to be used as an aid in the diagnosis of HIV-1/HIV-2 infection in adults and children over the age of 18 months.
    Benefits:
    Detects more acute infections
    Helps increase case finding
Facilitates fast linkage into appropriate care
    Robust to major circulating subtypes
Rapid, accurate result in just 20 minutes
Easy to use - requires minimal training and no expensive lab equipment

Hello, I did my rapid rest with Determine Early Detect, 14 weeks and 2 days after taking the post-exposure treatment, I had a negative result. At this stage, is the result correct? Is it conclusive and definitive or do I need to do the test again after 3 more months and if I have to do it again after is there not a risk of seroconversion? Is this result not enough for me?
